Reviews for Hotel Ködmön
Review 1:The water from the shower was running off very slowly despite cleaning, probably due a to a flaw in construction. You have to walk in the open to the neighboring Kodmon csarda for dinner. That place is average at best with an outdated style of cooking and service (meals without any special taste, gypsy music, bad eclectic architecture)--a real disappointment. Breakfast is good but not very good (e.g. honey only is small miserable bags). Annoying disco music at breakfast.
Review 2:The hotel is clean, has a nice design and a friendly staff.
Review 3:The wifi reception in the room was bad. The shower drain in my room was clogged.
Review 4:Located right next to the 'valley of the beautiful women', allowing you to enjoy one of the many wine cellars there and walk back to the hotel in minutes. The room I had was quite luxurious and the hotel is excellently maintained. As a guest you get a discount at the associated restaurant across the street which has great food and a nice selection of wines.
Review 5:Wellness Facilities hardly big enough for more than 2 persons at a time
Review 6:If you are visiting the Valley of the Beautiful Woman for wine tasting the location is just in the middle of it.
Review 7:Room next to reception is noisy. Smoke smell from the outside smokers. Breakfast was almost non-existant (no black tea, no sausages, no fresh pastry etc.), not possible to charge laptop. The receptionist trolled us due to our booking.com reservation.
Review 8:Convenient location
Review 9:First morning was an early awakening as the local chickens, goats, dogs, etc. started their dawn breaking chit- chat. My room's windows (had to leave open for cool night air) faced towards the hillside farms. Used earplugs the second night & all was good.
Review 10:Nice spa but small. Massages best yet in Hungary. Room was clean, neat & organized well.
Review 11:Power cut out every 20 mins throughout the stay. The hotel staff simply gave us a torch. No discount. Nothing. We pushed and said we demand something, they offered us a bottle of cheap wine.
Review 12:The place was nice, it was a fairly clean room, the room had a hot tub that worked. The windows opened.
Review 13:We didn't think the location was great because everything shuts down after 8pm and the old town is too far away to walk. However, it's supposed to be a highly desirable valley so we can't strike it down just because it didn't grab us.
Review 14:The BEST beds we've ever stayed in during our month in Eastern Europe! The breakfast had the usual standard fare (cereals, breads, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt and two hot choices), the shower had plenty of hot water and it was dead quiet. The wifi worked well and the staff were friendly. There was also free parking.
Review 15:All was perfect
Review 16:Located in the "szepasszony volgy" which is by car 5 min from the center of the city, city is nice but not for more than one night.. We loved being in the hotel, enjoying the time and resturants just opposite to it, very recommended, and its worth every penny
Review 17:Breakfast short on cereal and bread selection poor, thought hotel of this standard could do better. Better pillows
Review 18:Hotel amenities Room small but well equipped
Review 19:Spa is not really a reason to visit this place. Small, and burned feet in the steam cabin as the steam outlet was at the bottom of one of the seats. A bit old- school but OK rooms, though a breakfast they should be embarrassed about!
Review 20:Well located for wine- tasting since it is right next to the valley of the beautifull women.
Review 21:Wished for a facecloth in the bathroom. We did not remember to bring our own.
Review 22:The location and staff were excellent! Very helpful staff for English speakers
Review 23:Excellent location and excellent service
Review 24:Excellent location
Review 25:Everything the room, pool, sausa, etc the staff was very friendly
Review 26:Bed setup,
Review 27:Location and Hotel infrastructure
Review 28:Comfort of bad was very good. The location was near the vine celears but after 10 p.m. there was realy quiet.
Review 29:Nice and clean small hotel
Review 30:No dislikes really. Wellness section isn't large, but hey, it's decent for a 4 star hotel
Review 31:Great staff, calm location
Review 32:Mindennel maximálisan elégedettek vagyunk!
Review 33:no aircon
Review 34:the pool
Review 35:Small room for 3 persons.
Review 36:Location and helpful staff
Review 37:Breakfast buffet was awful - especially the ants all over the serving table. The outside "garden" was grass on the roof with a cheap above ground whirlpool for 4 people. The front counter staff were non-committal and said "no" more often than "yes". The bathroom whirlpool bath poorly designed causing water to spray everywhere - and there was no curtain, so I mean EVERYWHERE! The website appearance exaggerated what was actually available.
Review 38:Room was a suite and had lots of space. The pool area was new, with spray jets coming from the wall.
Review 39:There are bathrobes in the rooms, but you have to pay for the slippers.
Review 40:Everything. The staff was nice and helpful. Great massage at the Spa by a good Professional.
Review 41:Not a dislike but being a Brit would appreciate 2 pillows and a kettle and tea making facilities in the room.
Review 42:Reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Facilities were as advertised and all of good quality. Area around hotel is very picturesque and City Centre is a gentle 30 minute walk away.
Review 43:I really didn't like, that they took money from my credit card before we arrived, cause I wanted to pay in cash...
Review 44:We liked, that the hotel was only few steps from wine cellars and was very clean and staff was friendly!
Review 45:The room did not live up to the expectations. Although it was adeluxe doppel room, at least thats what we paid for, was the onlyseating possibility the bed. Cleaning was not very good and one daynot done at all.
Review 46:The personnel was very pleasant and service minded.
Review 47:A/C did not work at all , we changed to different room but that one did not have a/c as well. We were told there was nothing that they could do. It was a very hot room since it was the top floor, very uncomfortable the whole night.
Review 48:Only negative at time the air conditioning wasn't working they weretrying to fix it so rooms were very hot and stuffy would advise checkingthat it's working before booking
Review 49:Location was good restuarants over road including discounted one ifstaying at hotel also wine caves town is about 20 to 30 min walk can dolittle train in day. Rooms were nice quite roomy with balcony facilitiesgood breakfast was plenty. Staff were very helpful
Review 50:The hotel is right in "The Valle of Beautiful Women", I think the only hotel there. That's the spot in Eger where you try, often for free or for a less than $2, wines right from the vintner's wine cellars. There are about 50 of them. The staff was helpful. The rooms were spotless and nice. And breakfast was good.
Review 51:Not a great comfort, although I was in a suite. No tv in the bedroom.Old equipments in the bathroom.
Review 52:Very new hotel at the beginning of the Eger wine valley
Review 53:Wish it had an English tv station.
Review 54:Lovely, relaxing property. Easy to find.
Review 55:No A/C until june 1st even though it said it had A/C
Review 56:Clean and good facilities, big room and bathroom for euro standards.
Review 57:Little out of center, cannot drink and drive in hungary
Review 58:All fine. We like the jacuzzi in the room. Enjoyed the small spa.
Review 59:Nice and cozy, helpful and professional personnel, excellent food, good spa facilities, all in all a great hotel.
Review 60:Parking tricky
Review 61:Good location, good price, good facilities, very helpful staff, good breakfast included in the price
