Review 1：Great location, super friendly staff and great room with an amazing view. We didn't get to go into the pool because it closes at 8pm but you do get a great view of the city from there. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable but found some blood stains on the shower curtain which wasn't very pleasant. Other than that, great hotel.

Review 2：I have to say something about the door that connects us to the other room, you see, it is not a sound proof door and during my stay Im hearing this noise coming from the other room it is like yelling or something. it happened 2 in the morning and sometimes 4am. Im hoping that you could do something about it. Thank you.

Review 8：I booked a room... When I arrived at the hotel, there were no rooms available. I was informed that I was "upgraded" to the grand hotel. The manager came and.apooogize that they have not reserve a room for me. Very disaapointing. You may be a victim too in future.

Review 11：The rooms and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was really good with a rang of filipino style breakfast, there's an omelette chef, breads, cereals, fruits and juices. Loved the breakfast. Great gym, I used it. And I also swam in the pool, it's good.

Review 13：Our 3th visit in 5 years, and again all was perfect: nice clean rooms, excellent bed and a great breakfast. We love the rooftop with bar and swimming pool. Next stay is again City Garden.

Review 14：In comparison with other hotels in this area it was brilliant. I found all hotels were more expensive then i expected for this poor country. Cheaper then 80 australian dollars hotels were really rubbish, with no blankets, with cuckoroches, and the worst thing - loud old style aircons, so bad we could not sleep, so we have to move to better hotel, like City Garden hotel. Good experience with this hotel but bad experience with Philippines. Never again.

Review 19：The reception staff got my booking all wrong. They had my Room Upgrade all mixed up and booked two rooms instead of just the upgrade. Initial upgrade of room, they gave me a smoking room even if I requested for non-smoking room. Only 1 breakfast covered, when i specified two people initially and then upgraded to a group, still ignored my request. They asked for payment to use the swimming pool even if i paid for upgrade to the room. Awful discrimination from reception and management staff, they are polite to white people but not to Filipinos. Did not even apologise for the mixups.

And no ethernet cable in the room to plug in laptop. Totally impossible to have Skype conference calls. I had to go to the cybercafe a few blocks down to get faster internet. Also no plug socket in room near the work table, so where do you plug your laptop in??

Review 42：When booking I look at the facilities available to use in a hotel. It greatly influences the choice I make. I don't like the fact that this hotel books out the pool, bar/restaurant,smoking area level for private functions. This occurred 2 of 4 days I was there. It wasn't till the second time I was told I could go to the sister hotel up the road. I was very disapointed in this aspect of my stay. the roof top is great when it is open for use as the rooms are a little on the smaller side compared to Australian Hotels.

Review 45：Jock, Alyssa, JR and Marj were excellent serving breakfasts in the Hotel on Foor 2. A good range of food plus Jock's management ensures good service. JR makes excellent omelettes and eggs of other kinds to order. The gym is airy, great aerial view of the city and well equipped throughout, sauna and massages are available also.

Review 47：close to where I leave before in Sta Ana Manila. Where I meet my college classmate. There are also nice restaurant close by.

Review 48：difficult to get a taxi since traffic is heavy in this location..porter on duty was not inclined to help you get a taxi, told me to go across the street and wait for the cab there..in the end i took a jeepney ride since there was no taxi available,mostly were already occupied by commuting workers if not travellers.

They gave us smelly room. And the bathroom was fealthy. It look like it had not been clean. There wasn't enough toilet paper and towels. The tv wasn't working properly.

Review 61：Price seemed high ($100 US ) for area and if earlier booking the rate would have been less... Disappointed in restaurants near the hotel, my room next to exit door and alarm went off 3 times because people exited there.

Review 67：The laundry facility was terrible and overly priced. the gym was basic and needed a rowing machine. They need to fix the spa and would be better if there was a couples spa/sauna rather than an individual spa/sauna.

Review 70：The room was really spacious and comfortable. Despite the hotel being situated right next to the Makati nightlife street, I had a hassle free sleep. Staff were very friendly and location was perfect!

Review 71：I had very high expectation from this hotel, after all it is located in Makati. But..I can't believe that the ceiling in the shower leaks whilst having a shower!! also, the airport shuttle charges 900 Pesos? we ended up getting a taxi and costs 200 Pesos and that includes a P50 tip! Never again!

Old rooms, old towels, not refilled minibar, slow elevators n terrible breakfast make the requested price too high. It can t be compensated by smiling staff n stable wi-fi.
