Reviews for Brice Hill Country Lodge
Review 1:It was just over priced.
Review 2:The setting was great and the garden and pool was a lovely area. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice provide. It was well laid out and had music and DVD's with all the comforts.
Review 3:the staff/owner was more interested in telling us what the check out times were more than anything else although we.did get some local information from her it was not volunteered and came only from question/request.
Review 4:the position and room were very good
Review 5:Never got to use the spa, because it short circuited the power and ants all thru the bathroom in the mornings. Travel info not up to date, with in room book details. Would of been nice to receive some sort of compensation... A bit disappointing..
Review 6:intereior a bit dated & rear outside area needed a fair bit of TLC. Place is on the market & I think owners may have lost their mojo.
Review 7:the view & location & the potential of the place. facilites generally very good. Owners grat & helpful
Review 8:$330 per night for two nights at the weekend seems a bit steep, but the owners are probably not making a lot out of it after maintenance and expenses. In fact, the property is for sale and could offer a good life style for a couple who could work it themselves.
Review 9:Great location just above a section of the Riesling Trail in the Clare Valley. The Garden setting is superb and it is complemented by by the BBQ facility and pool. The suites are spacious and well appointed. We travelled with three other couples and occupied the whole place which was good.
Review 10:Beautiful setting up on the hill with views of surrounding vineyards, tranquil gardens. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped.Loved the bathroom of palatial proportions with a magnificent in ground spa.will definitely be back again.
Review 11:Bathroom in winter was rather cold even with the heat lamps on, so didn't feel we could use the lovely spa bath.
Review 12:Excellent location, lovely host, very friendly and accommodating. Superb breakfast feast supplied. We went in winter so a lovely touch having an electric blanket to keep you cosy. Just a short walking distance to the restaurant, local vineyards and walks.
Review 13:Rooms a little cold - should use smaller logs to keep fire going logs too large.
Review 14:Food excellent choices bedding/towels/dressing gowns gorgeous candles beautiful port excellent
Review 15:Being so close to next door neighbours who woke very early, had breakfast outside and were quite noisy. If you have the windows open and screen door (which had a hole in and let flies in) open there was no privacy from the noise next door. For the price I would expect some noise control. The television reception in the bedroom was non existent and there was no internet connection.
Review 16:the location and outlook was beautiful, very pretty. The pool was a welcome sight on a hot afternoon. Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. Generous goodies were very welcome and Dianne was very helpful.
Review 17:All that could be needed was anticipated and catered for.Well suited for anyone ,couple or groups.

Review 20:What was not to like...
Review 21:Room/suite Furnishings Location Advice as to dining options
Review 22:Great owner and facilities close to town and attractions
Review 23:There was quite a bit of mould in the shower and cobwebs outside in the courtyard
Review 24:I could not ask for more.
Review 25:Location is 2 minutes drive from Clare town centre, 2 minutes walk from 2 wineries with restaurants, and literally on the Rieseling trail which goes past dozens of wineries. Bottle of wine and port waiting in our room and very generous brekkie in the fridge. The owners were delightful. The room is secluded, quiet and intimate. We stayed over Christmas/NYE period so the owners had prepared us with opening times of all the businesses in the region! Drinking champagne pool side. Perfect.
Review 26:We stayed 3 nights and paid the same price for each night $280 per nightand discovered after the first night that the suite wasn't serviceddaily. I was appalled as there was no reduction in cost for 3 nights(paid $840) and nowhere on the website or Booking.com did it state thatthe rooms weren't serviced. No clean towels or even cleaningproducts to wipe the basin or do any simple cleaning. Had to buy our owntissues as 2 boxes in suite had about 6 tissues in each box and notreplaced. Had trouble with the fireplace - only large wood and nothingto really get the fire going. After the first night when I mentionedthis they did prepare the fireplace on the second night but once againnothing the third night. Exhaust in Kitchenette was filthy as when Istarted cooking and steam was created it caused all the build up fat todrip down and into food. I cleaned it to the best of my ability. Hotwater only barely hot. Because suite not serviced we had 3 days worth ofrubbish in one small kitchen bin and there were no instructions as towhere to empty bin and we didn't see one anywhere outside. Ownerswere away when we stayed and caretaker manager did not stay on site andany phone calls went to message bank which were not usually returned. These issues become major as they are relevant to the price paid. Wewere ripped off for what was provided.
Review 27:Position and setting of accommodation. Quiet location and good space.
Review 28:We could not fault it. 10.2/10
Review 29:This was just the quietest and best thought out place we've ever stayed ... and we've stayed at many, many 5-star, big name establishment. The real winner was the thoughtfulness - everything you could need was there, with quality.
Review 30:Bbq was filthy. We left it a lot cleaner than we found it!
Review 31:Breakfast supplies were generous and great quality. In general thefacilities were great - comfortable and great location. Initially thestove-top didn't work but when we called the owners they came upstraightaway to fix it (on Xmas Day).
Review 32:If i had to be really picky, the log fire wasn't lit and running when we arrived. Was a very cold day so we entered a cold room.
Review 33:Brice Hill is a luxury style get away, that has everytthing you want in the room and more. The large sunken spa in the bathroom is beautiful and romantic and worth the extra money. The log fire in the lounge room also added to the romantic touch.
Review 34:Location was beautiful Room was very clean Very comfortable & well appointed Staff was very accommodating
Review 35:very comfortable and spacious unit. every thing was ready when we got there. great location.
Review 36:bathroom a touch cold
Review 37:comfortable,clean,good location, private
Review 38:Privacy, location, and comfort
Review 39:Everything was very well done from the bottle of wine and breakfast provisions to the open fireplace and spa, thanks for a great couple of nights
