Reviews for Residence Baita Antlia
Review 1:Just enough kitchen equipment, i.e. 2 plates, 2 knives, 2 forks.. "Side view" to mountains - the apartments with bedrooms seem to have a much nicer view. (Late booking - sold out) WIFI unstable and dropped out frequently.
Review 2:Comfortable bed, clean and quiet. Free (summer), secure undercover parking. Large fridge/ with small freezer and dishwasher (take your own tablets). Good shower with lots of hot water.
Review 3:As this was effectively out of season (Summer) it was very quiet, especially in the evenings.
Review 4:Very well presented, friendly staff, plenty of space and excellent facilities for parking and a really good leisure centre with sauna, pool, steam room and relaxation area. Just what we needed after a day of climbing.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Very good place to explore the beautiful Dolomites. Very nice room, equipped with everything, if you don't want to take their breakfast. Underground garage. Good location
Review 7:It is not ski in - ski out, you have to walk a while with all your stuff. The pool is small.
Review 8:Very comfortable bed, nice kitchen in the apartment, good saunas, very friendly stuff.Parking is very helpful.
Review 9:Only small minor things: The toilet was exceptionally high off the floor (our feet didn't touch the floor). No kettle for making tea (we boiled water in a pan).
Review 10:This is a great apartment building with self catering facilities for people who don't want to spend a fortune on their accommodation. It has a small bar which is open during reception hours which is quiet and comfortable with truly free 24 hour Wi-Fi available. The friendly, helpful staff were only too happy to help us. They arranged for a toaster for us so we could have toast for breakfast. We ate out every lunchtime and evening so a small breakfast was all we needed. The "Wellness Centre" has a free spa bath, Sauna and Steam Room open from 16:00 - 20:00 with a Sun bed available at extra charge. We had the room directly across from reception which we expected to be noisy, but we didn't hear any noise at all, partly due to the reception only being open from 07:00 - 21:00. The building is around 12 years old and is built to a high standard with excellent soundproofing and heat insulation, we were amazed at how quiet and warm the place was, the underfloor heating is superb in keeping the place at a constant temperature day and night with only the bathroom having a radiator to dry towels (and ski gear!). Despite being on the ground floor we didn't hear a single sound from upstairs or next door. It has a ski equipment room which is accessed by keycard (as is the entire building) so your boots and skis are safe overnight. Also this place is as close as we have ever been to ski in/out, simply walk across the road, put your skis on and ski down to the nearest lift, you only need to walk around 40 metres to put your skis on (Slightly further if you want to access the other side of the valley). There is an underground car park with a heated drive (no kidding) so you don't get stuck on the way out. We loved the place.
Review 11:WiFi during peak hours doesn't work at all which is one and only minus.
Review 12:Spacious,clean, well equiped suite with big bathroom with and shower with cool options :) Location is just perfect, gives you access to almost 500 km of ski trails. Convinient garage for a car and fine pool. Town is small but with nice atmphosfere- few shops and restaurants.
Review 13:The paths to the village were not maintained well and were hazardous. Access to the slopes was difficult (but this may be addressed by a new lift next year). Wifi was weak in one of our two apartments.
Review 14:The apartment, wellness centre and staff were very nice. The local slopes and the whole Sella Ronda ski area were great. We were lucky that it snowed just before we arrived, otherwise some slopes would have been difficult.
Review 15:It is a 10 minute walk to Arabba, which by itself is a very small town. To reach Canazei you need to cross the 2200m high Pordoi Pass,
Review 16:Apartment had an excellent bathroom. Living area is relatively small, yet the bedroom is relatively large. Ample place for storing cloths, etc. Small kitchen with dishwasher. Private indoor parking. Nice relaxing area with small pool. Excellent views of the mountains. Nice (ski)lifts depart closeby.
Review 17:Baita Antlia - we had nice one bedroom apartment that was very clean and consisted everything you need, also had two balconies. Staff was very nice and helpfull, spa area nice to use after all day of hiking. Arabba is great place for hiking in Dolomites and I am sure also for skiing.
Review 18:The staff all spoke perfect English and treated us splendidly. Miriam gave us a lovely room with a loft, so we slept separate from the 'kids', with our own bathroom. The kitchen was ideal for a few money saving meals between splurge meals out to enjoy Italian cooking, but Miriam & Patsy brewed us a couple pitchers of coffee & latte each morning ('real' Tyrolean coffee) to supplement our breakfast cooking. Take the Porto Vescovo lift to hike #601 (Bindelweg = Viel del Pan) for one of the best hikes anywhere. We could see Austria & Olympic ski hills in the distance on one of the many spectacular panoromas. We also hiked out of Corvara (15 min. north of Arabba) on Pralongia Plateau #23, and to Colfosco = Colfosch, taking 4A (to get around a landslide) to get to #28 (in the valley, mostly along a river). Every hike was incredibly good, and coming back to Baita Antlia's chalet was idyllic, whether we had drinks on their patio or in our lovely chalet (with wood on all the ceilings & walls). After the hikes, the jacuzzi or sauna felt very good. We even caught a local parade in Arabba (historic costumes, etc) followed by a tent party. The time we spent here was the best of a really superb trip, so that's saying a lot!
Review 19:Sofa bed not the most comfortable.
Review 20:Attractive alpine chalet-style building. Very welcoming staff at reception. Well equipped apartment. Walking down to village to buy bread in morning (a bit of a climb back up).
Review 21:The kitchener and microwave oven were out of order. The microwave owen should be replaced. There were only few pots and pans.... Rather difficult to prepare meals there.
Review 22:Nearly everything was excellent....
Review 23:Perfect location for Sella Ronda biking and then the perfect facilities to unwind thereafter; swimming, steam room and sauna were wonderful!
Review 24:nothing much
Review 25:kind staff
Review 26:wi-fi was bad (very slow or no connection)
Review 27:Everything was perfect!!!
Review 28:aimed at self-catering,means the breakfast was a bit basic and had to be ordered the evening before...
Review 29:clean
Review 30:Staff friendliness and flexibility to help: wash the bikes, get a shower after returning room, etc. Super clean and recent equipment
Review 31:teapot missing, internet not working in rooms, cold water tub in sauna missing
Review 32:clean, close to lift, good equipment
Review 33:Kitchen small and very basic
Review 34:Location Wellness with sauna New & clean property Parking
Review 35:Hotel Spa is great Room as a great panoramic view great cappuccino
Review 36:the fact that they not chsnge towels or clean the room throught the stay
Review 37:great place in a very good location nice facilities
Review 38:All we needed in our little studio and a plus to have a balcony. Great to relax in the wellness centre after a day's walking.
Review 39:Great service, comfortable and good value.
Review 40:bed in living room stays in kitchen, so that children sleep in kitchen, because there is not any living room. Very small and not very clean. Nobody cleans rooms, breacfast is very poor.
Review 41:These are only minor objections. Very hard pillows for us. Sometimes no warm water in the shower in the morning. Temperature settings for the heating did not work, but the temperature was acceptable most of the time, except it was sometimes a bit too cold for us in the evenings (20-21C). No tea cups, but we were prepared and brought some of our own. Skiing back to the hotel is difficult for the beginners. A bit far away to walk uphill from the center of the village. Intimidating warnings for 100€ fine for failure of separating the rubbish (probably due to some local regulations). Ski slopes in the Arabba are difficult for the beginners, but Alta Badia has some easier slopes and is close to drive.
Review 42:We were very happy with this hotel. Nice village. Many possibilities for skiing around in the area. Convenient location for one-day ski trips by car as well. Nice and clean apartment, plenty of space for the wardrobe, good kitchen equipment, quiet room and street, WiFi worked well, friendly personnel. Very nice spa area with free entrance (including free towels), which we used a lot. Garage has good access by lift.
Review 43:Staff was fair but not more than that. Unlike in other place we stay in this trip, we did not fill any personal welcome. One shower for appartment of 7 people.
Review 44:Location is perffect, close to most of the attractions O
Review 45:The best we stayed during our trip! Really great apartments, really confortable bed. Everything really clean. It's a small cute town close to Passo Pordoi witch is amazing. Don't miss the carlift and the sunset behind Sassolungo. Deffinatly recommend it!!!
Review 46:The hot water was erratic. A cold shower after a run in summer isannoying but no great hardship but I imagine would be seriouslyirritating after skiing in winter. Washing is 10 Euros a load.
Review 47:A great spot and the apartment we stayed in (for a family of five) wasreally pleasant and well equipped. The area is just stunning.
Review 48:Sound proofing was not so good. Wifi only worked well in parts of the apartment (on the top floors).
Review 49:Good location close to the Burz ski lift - just walk 50m crossing the street and ski down to the lift. Nice sauna and steam bath. Helpful and friendly personell. Well organized ski storage room. Nice apartments with comfortable beds, plenty of storage and mountain view.
Review 50:Breakfast was not included, and there was no discount for children. So,we hit the bakery in town instead.
Review 51:Quality of the facilities, outstanding location, freindly and helpfulstaff, amenities like underground parking and pool. Ample restaurantoptions in town.
Review 52:Nice apartment with reasonably ok kitchenette, great staff - friendly, helpful, informative - excellent location for mountain walking, good free spa with steam room, sauna and huge jacuzzi pool. Has free wifi and an internet terminal.
Review 53:No evening meal offered, had self catering facilities but availability of fresh well priced food in the town is limited. Would be worth stocking up before arrival, as we were on motorcycles this was not an option.
Review 54:Staff great, location great, town great, facilities great. The secure basement garage was perfect for parking. Spa facilities very welcome after long days out in the mountains.
Review 55:The place itself in the heart of Dolomites Mountains makes the beautyand the peaceness of the environment. The hotel is convenient withenough equipments for a short stay. Beds are a bit hard, especiallydifficult when hiking all day. The pool and spa is okay. The service wasvery good. The city center is 5 minutes by walk, and all the hikingstarting points at 10 minutes max. You can leave the car in the garageall the week. Well, we had a very good time ! Recommended.
Review 56:Breakfast was not that great, but ok for italian standards.
Review 57:The apartment was allright; clean and spacious. Nice to havecooking facilities and a dish washer. The hotel staff was veryfriendly and helpful.
Review 58:The appartment was well equiped with everything you would need for theweek. The underground parking garage was a nice way to keep the car cooland it was also great to have the locked ski room for bike storage. WiFi internet was available also from the appartments.
Review 59:Not a bad hotel for the money. You can recommend it to friends. There are only two minuses. After riding on Porto Veskova return to the hotel is very difficult: 1000 meters up the hill. Do not reasonably expensive meals at the hotel: 9 euros for a very light breakfast and 3.8 euros for a beer after skiing - it's not friendly
Review 60:Wery helpful and nice staff.
Review 61:The perfect location for loop rides through the passes. Perfect English spoken, underground parking
Review 62:Not includes breakfast.
Review 63:Nice, clean, good location.

Review 71:Wonderful place, kind people, garage, nice and tidy rooms
Review 72:The local supermarkets were very limited.
Review 73:Staff were great as were the appartments.
Review 74:mattresses to soft, shower head to slow jet
Review 75:Location, staff, cleanliness,
Review 76:It was expensive. We paid for 6 persons even though my youngest child is only 3 years old.
Review 77:It has a nice whirl-pool.
Review 78:Friendly, well appointed and good value.
