Review 1：We found only one member of staff positive and helpful -- as for the rest they did not want to be there one got the impression we were in their way.

Review 3：It seems the Palace Hotel has the best time behind itself. We traveled with our dog (20€ extra charge) and I don't know if that was the reason that we had such a shabby room. Don't misunderstand me: the room was very large (with backyard view) but clean and with a large bathroom but the furniture was poor quality and damaged (broken edges etc.) Not in way that you think it's ugly but not what you expect for this prize. 10.30 pm the bar was closed when we had the plan to have a drink but on the other hand the bar is not really attractive- no windows and nothing what engages you to spend some time there. Pity because I think a couple of years ago this was surely a nice place.

Review 5：Hallway smelled as if sewage had leaked. Very noisy in the rooms with guests upstairs as there is no carpet. hot breakfast buffet was cold and dried out. Very hot in the room and heating could not be turned down enough which meant the window needed to be open... noisy!

Review 80：The staff could never get the air conditioning to work. They've tried to "automate" everything in this hotel and the implementation is a failure. The lights would randomly just turn off because of the poor placement of motion sensors. We had to sleep with the window open because it was so hot in our room despite it being early March and cool/cold days. The WiFi policy is absolutely the WORST I have ever experienced. You are charged 13 euros per night PER device! Even after paying the coverage was slow and spotty at best. There are better choices in Como for this price range.

Very easy check in and checkout and very good information about, restaurants, shopping facilitiesand excursions. Garage indoor and valet service were outstanding andvery convenient because we were travelling back from Germany with lotsof luggage after weeks of holidays. Our room was confortable, wellequipped and quiet despite it was on first floor facing the main roadalong the lake. Bathroom was large but in need to be renovated. Wemissed a magnifier but toiletries were very good, as well as towels.Breakfast was very good with excellent scrabbled eggs and bacon. Due tothe Christmas holiday period we enjoyed typical cakes as panattone andpandoro. Service was average, but a couple of commis de rang were reallywithout hotel experience. Concierge service was very efficient inbooking a great Michelin starred restaurant nearby. We have dined alsoat hotel restaurant and was very good (if you wish please read separatereview). We have enjoyed so much that we have already booked our nextstay for four nights in May. This location seems very convenient also tovisit expo 2015 in Milan. We highly recommend.

Review 100：Breakfast - scrambled eggs were too watery and not cooked well enough for our liking Completely lacks a fitness center so we had to pay a daily fee to use a local fitness center (15 euro/pp per day) Wi-Fi - not included in the price of the room nor is it complimentary in the hotel lobby as in many European hotels (hint: wi-fi is free at some restaurants and in the park next to the ferry ticket booth) Cigarette smoke: 3 of our 7 night stay we had a problem with the smell of cigarette smoke coming into our room through the ventilation system despite the hotel being a smoke-free facility. Called the front desk all three nights and they checked the hallway for smoke but said they could not knock on doors and check inside rooms for people smoking, so essentially there was nothing they could do. They did offer to change our room but we did not feel WE should have to change to escape the smokers.

Review 112：We were immediately upgraded to bigger room with a balcony and lake view. The facilities and location were amazing. The morning breakfast options were quite good. One of the nights we were feeling cold and they managed to provide us with heater. It really helped us to enjoy our trip in Como :)

Review 122：For a 4 star hotel, that is not cheap, I would have liked free internet access. The charges for daily or weekly use are quite steep and a substantial addition to the price of the rooms. I have stayed in Italian hotels for the last 3 years, and one welcome service several have offered is bike hire on site. This would be a great addition and maybe could be offered complimentary to their guests!

Review 123：The view from our bedroom window was to die for. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable, and a generous size. The breakfast selection was enormous and must cater for all tastes. The air conditioning was silent but effective - what a pleasant change. The hotel is right in the heart of Como and was ideal for a short stroll to the ferries on the lake
