Reviews for Hotel Isafjördur

Review 1:Breakfast was a little disappointing with no warm food choices.

Review 2:Don't be put off by the outside of the hotel which looks a little dated. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds and great location.

Review 3:Small bathroom, typical. Breakfast ok, but nothing special.

Review 4:Great view of town.comfortable room and beds. Loved the rugged area of West Fjords. Very pleasant stay.

Review 5:The hotel is a stone's throw from the picturesque harbor, across the street from a bakery and in the middle of the small shopping district. The staff were very accommodating and the restaurant was excellent.

Review 6:We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Isafjordur. The rooms are much nicer than what the outside of the hotel looks like. The deco of the rooms is very Ikea ish, clean and simple. The breakfast has a lot of choices and a pancake maker (yum). We had a room facing the fjord and it was a great view. The hotel is right on the city square, in the middle of everything.

Review 7:Met a lovely staff person from Minnesota who loved telling us about his new life in Iceland. Walked around town, had dinner at hotel. Everything was so easy.

Review 8:We were having breakfast and our tour guide came to pick us up. The front desk agent told them we already checked out when we hadn't. We almost missed our boat!!

Review 9:Basic facilities new and clean, good wifi and good TV. Location was good - that applies to the Hotel Horn since I was re-routed from Hotel Isafjörður to there because of re-making of the entire hotel. But it was good.

Review 10:I would have preferred more selection of proteins at the breakfast buffet - it was all carbs.

Review 11:Great, location, friendly staff, nice facilities, very clean and warm.

Review 12:Downtown, close to everything you may need. Nice view and good breakfast.

Review 13:Small beds (like anywhere else in iceland)

Review 14:Excellent staff, good breakfast, good location.

Review 15:The staff were probably the most lacklustre we encountered in two weeks in Iceland.

Review 16:Our room had a nice view over the bay, and breakfast was adequate.

Review 17:wifi in our room was almost non existent - had to stand near the door to get the signal

Review 18:breakfast spread was good. location was great.

Review 19:Limited Breakfast and we were surprised to see 3 tins of sardines on the Buffet table

Review 49:Room was too hot and noisy.

Review 50:Food was good

Review 51:Nothing

Review 52:Well-organised room Efficient and friendly staff Quality of the restaurant

Review 53:Unfortunately the hotel itself is not beautiful (look like an office block), but the rooms look out over the old town, or the fjord which are full of character.

Review 54:The staff treat you personally, happy to engage in conversation. Good restaurant means you don't have to venture out if you don't want to. Very convenient for town centre.

Review 55:Leaving Ísafjörður was difficult as always.

Review 56:A very nice hotel, quiet, clean and friendly. The staff is excellent, very helpful. The location is perfect in the center of town. A beautiful view over the harbor and the bay. Highly recommended!

Review 57:Isafjordur is a small town, and the hotel is in the centre of everything you need from shopping, dining, to organising tours. Clean and comfortable, a great spot fro which to explore and enjoy the nature of the fjords - which is the reason for visiting, right?

Review 58:The shower was in ridiculous conditions... particularly, the curtain nearly had mushrooms on it. Generally speaking, hygiene was not the strength point considering it's an actual hotel

Review 59:room was too small as well as the bathroom but if was clean and sufficient

Review 60:Kristin was easily one of the most friendly and nice people we have met on our trip...great stay and she made the hotel worth booking

Review 61:This hotel is 3 stars and adequate. The rooms are clean but thebathrooms are a bit dated and run down. It is overpriced, though, byEuropean standards, for what it is, largely because there is not muchaccommodation available in the town during peak summer holiday season, and like most other things in Iceland, extremely expensive. Thebreakfast was okay, but nothing spectacular. And there was only onesmall lift - which always meant a wait for it.

Review 62:A friendly lady at the reception. A good central location in the middleof the town.

Review 63:Could use an extra elevator, especially at checkout time.

Review 64:Probably the classiest place to stay in Isafjordur. Rooms are immaculate, staff is friendly, the breakfast provided is better than average, and the restaurant is worth visiting. Central location.

Review 65:Very expensive for what you got. The WiFi service was not working wellwhen we were there.

Review 66:The room was very basic but clean and nice. Breakfast was good.

Review 67:Very functional rooms: lots of outlets for electronics (for charging),blowdryer in bathroom. Breakfast served from 7am, great for start timesof tours, or an early start to morning drive.

Review 68:The price. In a two-week stay in Iceland this was the most expensive room, but not the nicest.

Review 69:The location, although there's few other hotel options in the area.

Review 70:The breakfast was wonderful. Very comfortable hotel in a rough climate. The room was bigger than I expected it to be

Review 71:Good situated

Review 72:Great location. Comfortable hotel.

Review 73:the bathroom shower was not very good

Review 74:The beds were very comfortable. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. The reception staff were very helpful.
