Review 2：Absolutely loved Villa Ottone. Book with absolute confidence. Beautiful grounds. Comfortable rooms. Awesome beach. And the staff are amazing.

Review 3：At beach bar we were accepted to drink, we were seated. After that we were sent away because other people wanted to eat and tables were full. Totally unacceptable for 5 star hotel !!! After complaint at reception no further acton. this really ruined my day.

Review 9：After the horrible first night, I woke up all itching as the bed gave mea terrible allergy...I Complained to the manager and his reaction wasunrespectful, saying that "You paid cheap, you booked thorough theinternet and got a cheap stay, so don t complain"!!!!! (I bookedall back in May, through booking.com).

Review 10：Nothing! It was horrendous experience. It is a 2 star hotel indecadence. The rooms are absolutely horrible, very dirty and old!!! Thebed was very uncomfortable and I could not sleep at all as it look likeI was at a punishment camp!!!

Review 14：Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the location, beach, pool and facilities were top notch. Car hire was from the hotel. They answered emails quickly. No problem upgrading to half board on arrival and well worth it.

Review 15：Bathroom rather old, shower curtain not great, would grade 3* but everything worked. Room a little musty on arrival but soon cleared after use.

Review 16：We stayed in the main hotel not the villa, Booking.com site doesn't show pics of this which is a shame as although it isn't really 5* it is attractive though needs some updating, especially the bathrooms. We have a great room on first floor with 'double aspect' balcony! Breakfast selection was vast and excellent and the outdoor restaurant was lovely looking out to sea. The pool, views, private beach (pebbly mainly) were lovely and the grounds made a fab setting to the villa itself. Drinks on the villa balcony is a must, with a huge selection of smart snacks/nibbles. The bar/restaurant on the beach was also lovely. We decided the 5* rating applied to the service, the staff were ever present and worked to a very high standard.

Review 23：The location was perfect, being situated directly behind a private beach. The old villa has been restored to a high standard, and have the most beautiful sea views. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, and particularly accommodating with our 5 month old baby. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this truly 5 * hotel.

Review 27：The location was a dream, with direct access to the sea, a private beach just across from Portoferaio, where you could watch the ships coming in or leaving the port. The hotel was surrounded by a beautiful park, which gave the villa an exotic touch to it. Staff was also perfect.

Review 28：Advisable to bring or hire a car. Buses are infrequent and take long route into Portoferraio. Hotel is about five miles around the Bay from Portoferraio.

We were confused over whether to choose the villa or cottage, since they were both the same price at the time but with different features. The staff was already gone in their minds. The hotel would close 1 week later for the winter. We were very dissapointed and left after 1 night :-(((
