Reviews for Cashel Town B&B

Review 1:They closed the heating during night, the bathroom was shared and practically wasn't working, and the furniture was old and in bad condition.

Review 2:Friendly sfaff and close to the center.

Review 3:Breakfast not incluided in a B&B (and no option to book a room with it at booking.com), the wifi was very bad (at less in our room) and we spend a very cold night (the heater was set in less than the minimum or off and there weren't blanquets to use).

Review 4:Location, clenliness. They gave us free tickets to Rock of Castle.

Review 5:Parking was a little tricky as the street where the b&b is situated is very narrow. I was advised to park at the Hospital carpark until 6 pm when parking in the main street becomes free until 9 am next day.

Review 6:It was very convenient for walking to the Rock of Cashel and other ancient sites in Cashel. I felt safe in this bed and breakfast with the owner taking and interest and caring about his guests. It was also close to a supermarket, laundry and a range of eating places.

Review 7:TV reception v poor - couldn't watch the match - and TV very small - but not the end of the world. Shared bathroom.

Review 8:Comfortable bed - excellent location

Review 9:Poor bathroom facilities. Barely any bath gel. Bath in poor condition. Beds uncomfortable. Cold room. Not good value for money compared to other hotels around Ireland for the same price range

Review 10:Option to make our own breakfast

Review 11:The wifi was spotty from our cottage but it was good inside in the lounge area.

Review 12:The location was great. We rented the little cottage for two nights. It suited our needs. Quiet location. Small fridge and microwave, dining table and sofa. Grocery stores close by. Able to walk everywhere. Laundry facilities available.

Review 13:If it's called b&b, then breakfast should be included, otherwise it's just a b! Bed a bit creaky and not too comfortable, and one one bathroom for three double rooms!!

Review 14:Owners were friendly enough, and no problem traveling with a dog, which is always great! Location excellent, and contrary to what other people on the site said, parking was easy enough to find (at hospital around the corner). Recommended for short visits to Cashel and if you're traveling with your pet.

Review 15:This is the worst accommodation I ever had the misfortune of staying in, please if you have any sense do not book this dreadful place, here are the reasons 1. On arrival we were met by a very polite girl who showed us to our room, as I was bringing in my bags from the car, the owner (or at least that's who I think it is) who did not introduce himself asked for payment, I said I had paid the girl but had no receipt to prove it, he walked off with no acknowledgement. 2. Our room had no bathroom so we had to share a bathroom with 4 other rooms, that was disgusting!!! 3. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the people in the next door rooms snoring, but also having to get up and go to the shared bathroom! Overall I didn't sleep a wink and left at dawn. What a waste of money!!

Review 16:Free wifi

Review 17:The shower was very difficult to use well. The temperature varied a lot and the shower head was very low for me (I am over six feet tall).

Review 18:Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Aesthetic was charming; I loved the quotes and literary references. Location was perfect.

Review 19:The only issue was that the room was rather small and the double bed took up nearly all the space.

Review 20:This is a small B&B that is furnished like a attractive, cosy and comfortable home. The rooms have names rather than numbers so one feels even more at home. It is located in the heart of town and within walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants and the Rock of Cashel yet is in a quiet lane. They serve a very good Irish breakfast. Certainly excellent value for money.

Review 21:The apartment was unclean and had an ugly linoleum floor. It also had a smell that I couldn’t quite place but it seemed like the room didn’t have good ventilation. The bathroom sink was partially blocked which meant that the water drained out very slowly which is very disgusting as you can imagine! One of the recommended exits out of the property was actually through a rubbish pile and through a small opening (that you had to stoop under) in a shed door. Check out was at 10:00. We had to haggle with them to make it 11:00. I ordered a continental breakfast that cost €8.00 and consistent of four slices of cheese, a yogurt, a banana and a mandarin. Seriously? Our friends stayed in another room and their shower handle broke when they went to use it! At the end of all this we were charged 90 Euro for the night. This was not worth €90, €40 at the very best.

Review 22:We only had to stay here one night.

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:-The bathroom was clean and functional -The position of the b&b in the center of the country -The bed was warm -I have not requested breakfast

Review 25:Everything is super !!!

Review 26:Cashel Town B&B is a really comfy, nice and warm place to stay. Friendly stuff, clean room and bathroom. Great location in the center of town.

Review 27:Cashel Town B&B is a really nice place to stay in Cashel.the room and bathroom was nice and clean. Stuff is so friendly and ready to help. There is a great coverage of WiFi so you can work on your device even in bed. Location is super in the centre few steps from everything.

Review 28:Lovely place, very clean, price was good but wouldn't have paid any more for it. Perfect for someone travelling alone for business trips. I seemed to have been booked in twice, whether it was mistake of website, admin or myself, the member of staff was very polite & understanding and just charged me for one, whereas other places might have charged for two! Was made feel very welcome by the receptionist!

Review 29:The four poster bed was most comfy. The computer and internet provision was without charges unless most places. The location is a definite strong point.

Review 30:Spotlessly clean, comfortable, a great location (close to the action but quiet) and a very helpful host who directed us to the cosiest local pubs (think open fire, friendly locals and good food).

Review 31:Having to keep the corridor light on overnight (there was a request for this on a notice under the light switch), which caused light to flock into our room via the glass partition the door. "Fresh fruit" for breakfast turned out to be two not very fresh apples.

Review 32:The friendliness, the central location, the dayroom with lots of books and a computer for the use of guests.

Review 33:No hair dryer, bad wi-fi, bad caffee. The room is like abandoned. There's no love or caress. The cables, the wc is bad keeping. Is old but not cared. A pitty for a such good point on the city.

Review 34:The bed size was really good.

Review 35:Arriving to find my advertised double bed was actually two twin beds pushed together. Getting a knock on the door in the morning and being told checkout was 'before 10' when it is advertised as 10.30.

Review 36:Nothing stood out

Review 37:Advertised as a B&B where the breakfast is extra. Directly linked to next doors hostel where you inevitably share 'communal' space with hostel dwellers. No issue but not as advertised, and not expected when paying hotel prices.... Wifi was hit n miss at best, possibly due to our location in one of the so called apartments at the back of the facility. Maybe an additional router would improve this. Flat screen TVs are advertised, and indeed they are flat, small (I'm guessing 19-21") but reception is brutal and frankly unwatchable. Water pressure in shower is a bit like the wifi Hit n Miss.

Review 100:location, staff, room quality

Review 103:Never meet owner

Review 104:Had to walk through hostel to get to and out from apt. Not at all a fan of that.

Review 105:My friend and I stayed in one bed apt. Modern, clean, good size.

Review 106:warm welcom

Review 107:Thé linens were not 'clean' Breakfast not at thé same level versus other BBs

Review 108:Location of thé B B

Review 109:We arrived very wet having cycled over 150 km. Our host was very accommodating & dried all our wet gear. Showers were good & hot.

Review 110:Great location for the town, easy walk up to Rock of Cashel. Lovedeverything, staff was very friendly, wifi was great, no complaints.

Review 111:The room was tiny, the bathroom had no towels, the floors were very squeaky, the TV had no RTE, we had to use powdered milk for tea, we kept hitting our head off the corner of the TV because there was not enough room to pass around the end of the bed?!, the lamp had no plug near it to plug it in?!, the WiFi was very weak, and I couldn't find a member of staff to ask if I could use a hair drier... Never again. Not worth 55€.

Review 112:The bed was comfortable and it is centrally located.

Review 113:The b&b is near everything - banks, shop, restaurants, pubs, castle etc. Just perfect. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere of the place it's amazing and I felt myself at home. Jesus the wifi ... I'm travelling a bit arround and the wifi in Cashel b&b is the best. The conection it's always pretty good. I really had a great time in Cashel ... Was everything pretty good ... the b&b, my tour around the city, the rock of Cashel, the diner at chez hans, my night at Penny Lane (really good live music) anyway absolutely amazing.

Review 114:Such a charming old Gregorian house! Staff so friendly and accomodating. Spacious neatly furnished living room with little library and free coffee, tea and biscuits. Very centrally located right off main street, but quiet side road. 5 min walk to Rock of Cashel. We loved staying there.

Review 115:I couldn't stay longer

Review 116:-Location, location, location - Center of town in beautiful decorated georgian town house -Lovely and cosy atmosphere with great bbq area at the back And the best wi-fi in town

Review 117:No parking! Key hardly worked on front door and there was never anyone around. I think we were there by ourselves including staff. The room was cramped, sheets old, poor quality pillows. Bathroom was old and hardly functional. Breakfast room looked very unappealing. Did NOT stay for breakfast. When they say coffee/tea service they don't mean in your room like most B&B's. It was a hot pot and jar of coffee mate and jar of instant coffee sitting in front room. Very inconvenient. Had to ask for a hair dryer and towels were old and worn out! Room was on third floor up steep, overly carpeted. Not a safe cling with luggage. Not really a pleasant stay.

Review 118:Not much! It was old, bad location since there was absolutely NO parking and staff was of very little help with any form of question. That is if you could find someone to ask!
