Review 4：Friendly and helpful staff (ask for best places to eat), good breakfast (for Italy) Parking 16 euros per day expensive but given location well worth the money especially as we got there early and 'bagged' a space outside the hotel. Location absolutely in the heart of Como. Used the electrically operated shutters at night which kept out most of the noise from the street on Saturday night but after midnight things were pretty quiet anyway. Liked it enough to stay an extra night.

Review 5：If you'd like a central location with top service while staying in Como, I can highly recommend Hotel Plinius. This is by far the best value for your euro that I have seen in central Como, with wonderful customer service and a very genuine and welcoming front desk. The two night stay was perfect for rest, relaxation and certainly very conveniently located in a quieter boulevard just within the old town. Highly recommended. GRAZIE MILLE to the manager and his lovely staff.

Review 20：The manager changes prices dramatically at all times of the day. At 11am the price is $180aud and one hour later it's $700aud so be wise. I ended up spending another 3 nights elsewhere because of this....

LP records store in front of the hotel, Apple store too. Piazza Duomo and Alesandro Volta on 2-3 minute distance walk. Breakfast simple, but good. Wi-Fi is good for Skype transfer, surfing and free from the room.

Review 32：Even though I paid for the room when leaving there was still a reservation on my card for a few weeks after. Safe in room did not work and even if I told the receptionist about the issue on the 1st day they did not fixed it in 3 days. Wifi was fairly slow.

Review 39：The hotel is halfway between the two stations - one that brings you from the aero port and the other that brings you straight to Milano - Centrale for points off like Venice. It's a block or so from major areas like the lakefront and piazzas. Plus it's a good breakfast. Large bathroom for Europe

Como town is more beautiful than I expected, lots of lovely piazza nearby with restaurants & cafes. Room was clean and quiet and the staff were very helpful with ferry times and tips for sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 57：Extremely low value for money, the most uncomfortable bed & pillows I have ever stayed in, breakfast was included but there was barely anything left when we got there (approx 45 min in) , some bread rolls & jam and that was it. The double room was really small and cold (2.3m by 2.3m). We stayed in better hotels for less money, would not go again and wouldn't recommend.

Review 65：Parking is a challenge. No parking available on the surrounding streets and the contracted garage is a number of blocks away. Guests should ask for directions to drive back to the hotel when checking out as there are a number of one-way streets.

Review 68：Due to its location, as some of us were light sleepers, we had problems with the noise on the street at night with weekend feastings We would have liked the availability of SKY facility on TV as two in our group are football fans and they were not able to follow the games during our sojourn.

Review 69：We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Hotel Plinius in early September 2014 for a long weekend. It is centrally located, has sizeable and very clean rooms, breakfast room, and powder room. The hotel staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Como is a wonderful base especially for those with walking issues as it is quite flat as opposed to Bellagio and other locations around the lake.
