Reviews for Baia Dei Faraglioni Beach Resort
Review 1:We booked this hotel very spontaneously. Unfortunately we didn’t read the reviews on the internet before booking. However we read it before starting our trip and we were a little worried at first, in particular regarding the additional costs for the beach and the parking. After consultation with the Hotel, these costs were included fortunately in our offer. Otherwise we would have been also very annoyed. I definitely recommend checking with the hotel the package in order to avoid surprises at the end. Overall, we were a little forewarned because of the reviews so we looked even more closely to special things. In many ways I can only confirm what has been written many times. The rooms, for example, should be absolutely renovated. Also other things has to be done so that the hotel can be described as a truly 5 star L Hotel. Definitely you cannot compare this Hotel with a today's modern 5 star hotel. However, I have to say that the prices are also somewhat more moderate compared to other 5 star hotels L. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable at the hotel, the rooms were clean, the food very good (although a bit poor for northerners), the staff usually very accommodating and the beach is really nice. We could relax and that's what counts. For the hotel, it would be really recommendable to renovate the older part of the hotel. There are also new Buildings/Villas in the upper part of the hotel which seem to be very nice. The lounge and restaurant area could be improved as well. We have missed the evenings to sit outside on the patio/terrace and eat in a cozy atmosphere. Instead, we had to sit in an air conditioned room with no view to the outside. p.s. The final accounts must be checked accurately. Here a lot of mistakes were happening
Review 2:The service in the restaurant was poor and did not equal the cost of the meal. There are lots of extra costs, for parking, to use umbrellas and chairs at the beach, etc..The atmosphere was a bit more formal than we were prepared for. Brush up on your Italian beforehand.
Review 3:All in all this is a lovely retreat on a beautiful stone beach in the Gargano area. The beach is good for children, but bring water shoes for the stones. We also enjoyed the pool which was very nice. The room was comfortable and most of the staff were friendly. The breakfast was ample and very good.
Review 4:The service is unreliable. A lot of hidden extras. The hotel staff is for the most part untrained. The wifi does not work for the most part. Our shower was not working and then there was a plumbing issue. The villas are not connected to the hotel. So alerting reception about issues often involves a walk and climbing steps in the heat. The hotel is not suitable for clients with mobility issues including children with prams. The hotel debited the full amount months before our stay ( first time this happened with booking.com). I would also look at the final itemised bill for the extra charges very carefully. There were several charges for items we simply had not consumed. The manager did solve the problem though and made it up to us.
Review 5:The beach and views. The villa looked like it had just been redecorated. It was spacious and tasteful. The staff is smiley and polite for the most part even when incompetent. The mini club for children provided great babysitting and was included in the price. When I brought issues up with the manager, he went out of his way to make it up to us. Overall a very relaxing holiday. I would definitely return.
Review 6:The hotel is very old, poor breakfast, wifi not working, the stuff does not speak English (only the reception desk manager - he spoke Polish even! :), and the restaurant manager - very proffesional, the rest of the stuff is a mistake...)
Review 7:The beach is beautiful (but you have to pay for it additionally!!!).
Review 8:superior room not worth more than £120 per night
Review 9:pool, staff, private beach
Review 10:We loved the scenic location, the food and the beach.
Review 11:Staff was extremely helpful. Room size was spacious. Location was amazing. Everything we needed was on the property.
Review 12:Biring place. Far from society.rooms not worth the expencive price.
Review 13:The crue are very nice and helpfull.
Review 14:- Those who write negative reviews about this wonderful hotel, perhaps, have not visited "luxury" hotels of Sardegna or Toscana, with their rude staff, dirty beaches, and cosmic prices.
Review 15:Being an experienced travelers, I can definitely say this is an amazing Hotel and place, one of the most beautiful in Italy. During all our stay we felt entire comfort, the staff shifted all our expectations. Thanks a lot for all this unforgettable moments, amazing private boat trip, live music, attention and service. Great value for money. Will definitely come again ;)
Review 16:An excellent place to stay we were very impressed with the place as a whole and the staff were very friendly and had an understanding of English which was good o us being from ustralia
Review 17:Booking.com need to know the full story about hotels they list. First ofall it has only been open for 2 weeks. It has 78 bedrooms and only 5were occupied the whole week we were there. So, when you, booking.com ,say "last 3 rooms available" - then that doesn't show theaccurate picture. Lovely as this hotel is - many things were not ready.Ie: we were expected to carry some of our luggage, ourselves. Wearen't young. Limited choice of food - and no lunch menu - just averbal offer of 'salad - salad, or salad' ! Once we told them weare Hoteliers - a menu then appeared the next day!. A competent Chef deCiusine is definitely required. Then, 5-stars it may certainly be, onceit is fully up and running. But at the moment it merits just 4 stars -and there is a huge difference between 4 and 5+, which it claims to be.The overall impression is - a lovely ship - sailing without a Captain. We will give them the benefit of the doubt and try again next summer -when, it will certainly be twice as expensive - if not 3 times !!!However we do wish Baia dei Faraglioni 'all the best'. It wouldbe a real shame if they don't live up to their claims in the future.
Review 18:Delightful young, courteous staff - comfortable bedroom. Very limitedbathroom facilities. Beautiful position and surroundings. Great privatebeach and swimming pool. A complete rest - only the sound of the birds.
