Reviews for Antico Borgo Piceno
Review 1:We had a kitchenette but no kettle - used a saucepan so no problem but i would have thought that was standard in a kitchen? Front door to apt was like a vault which was fantastic if you are security conscious but prevents wifi in the room. again no problem, you either have the door open (not ideal) or take your laptop outside of the room. Review didn't allow me to score but i would give 10/10.
Review 2:Excellent location, so close to the old town that you can walk there within a few minutes but far enough away so that you don't have any noise. Elizabeth was a great host and the breakfast was great. Parking was literally outside the door to the apt's and was free, or there is secure parking available close by at a cost.
Review 3:Took a litlle time to find the place, nothing on the street reveals the pearl behind the gate.
Review 4:Beside the location and the fantastic environment, the outdoor jacuzzi with view over the old town.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:We had an excellent breakfast on the beautiful terrace each day. Our room was comfortable and we liked having a balcony to sit out on. This lovely old building is a short walk away from the main centre of the city in a quiet road and we had free garage parking provided. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for everything.
Review 7:The two ladies from the b&b were very friendly and correct. Breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip. The homemade yoghurt was delicious! The room was very spacious: we booked a simple double room but we got an apartment! It was bigger even than our apartment at home. Great view on the city, which is a walking distance away. The cats are also very nice to have around.
Review 8:Great value for money. One of the best B&Bs we stayed at in our month in Italy and Acoli one of the best towns. Convenient location with car with short walk across the river to the old town. Easy on street parking. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Highlight was the (balcony) room with view.
Review 9:Nothing!
Review 10:The location is brilliant - just on the edge of the city by the river and easy to find, with a beautiful view and car parking just outside. The accommodation is excellent - stylish, comfortable and superbly equipped - while the garden and terrace are delightful places in which to relax. There was a warm welcome and the breakfast was fantastic, with home produced products. I cannot recommend Antico Borgo Piceno highly enough - I look forward to returning there soon. It is as near perfect a place to stay as you could wish.
Review 11:A bit difficult to find when driving there but lovely when we eventually found it.
Review 12:Very good value, quiet rooms overlooking the river. Very friendly staff and breakfast on the terrace. Short walk into the centre of Ascoli - loved the town. Would recommend the B&B.
Review 13:Antico Borgo Piceno is perfectly located just across the bridge from the town and easy to get to by car. There's a great terrace, with nice view of 4 medieval towers, that has tables, chairs, and a jacuzzi tub. We had one of the vacation houses which was nicely furnished and a good deal. Owners are very nice and the good breakfast included homemade products.
Review 14:A little difficult to find.
Review 15:Nice room with large balcony looking towards the old town which was only a few minutes walk away. Staff exceptionally friendly and anxious to please. Great breakfast.
Review 16:Wonderful view, lovely staff. Very helpful. An amazing B&B in a gem of a town, and not far from the sea either. Meanwhile, you can enjoy a great jacuzzi with a view.
Review 17:Nothing comes to mind
Review 18:We thought we had booked a hotel room, but this turned out to be a bed-and-breakfast. And what a pleasant surprise! We had a real nice apartment (living room, large kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The place itself is a beautifully restored building that must date back a couple of hundred years. It is located at a 5 minute walk from downtown Ascoli Piceno. The apotheosis was a delicious breakfast that was served in teh garden. Great place. Extremely good value for money
Review 19:Large, spotless room with a great view across the canyon to the old center. Superb breakfast with lots of choices. Lisabetta was really helpful and accommodating. Ascoli itself is a gem of a city.
Review 20:Like an apartment, with kitchen, dining room, large bedroom and bathroom. View of old city and s 5 minute walk there. A little difficult to see the sign and missed it at first. It is a few doors up from start of street and provides garage parking across street. Elizabet was very welcoming and breakfast was wonderful: homemade yogurt, jams, croissants filled with ham, an a variety of cakes. Great cappuccino and fresh juice. Memorable stay.
Review 21:Excellent room with a great terrace and splendid view on the city. Good bed and bathroom. Nice, personal welcome. Huge home made breakfast served under the arches. A place to remember.
Review 22:Nothing worth mentioning
Review 23:Loved the self contained kitchen, comfortable room, delicious breakfast of home made products, friendly owners and staff. Not often that you get to wash your clothes in an ancient roman lavandaria:-)
Review 24:I did not have a good map of the location from the information on the internet but was lucky to find a map of the city from a tourist bureau before arrival which gave the location of the street. Perhaps the map on the internet should be revised.
Review 25:The hosts were very kind and accommodating. There was a great view over part of the city and places to sit in a garden with a view if the weather was warm. If the weather was suitable, breakfast was held outside
Review 26:The atmosphere was beautiful and so was the staff and the owners. Felt like being in the country, yet a two minute walk into the town. Only wish they had a swimming pool. Annonymous
Review 27:Absolutely beautiful location and residence. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but after a walk through the town we are ready to stay forever. It is easy to understand the ratings Antico Borgo Piceno has received it is one of the most beautiful locations we have seen and the staff make it perfect.
Review 28:Very attractive building and our room was a spacious apartment with balcony. Each morning the breakfast was slightly different with a warm savoury, home made yoghurt, fruit and cakes. The owner and all her staff were very friendly and looked after us well. The view across to the town is lovely and it's an easy walk across the medieval bridge into the centre.
Review 29:Finding it from the main road because Google maps are rubbish for this.
Review 30:The location above the gorge with views over the medieval centre and within very easy walking distance of town centre. The outdoor seating for breakfast and the family rabbit who was a big hit with my partner who said it was the best hotel ever. He loves rabbits!
Review 31:Wonderful site within easy walking distance to the centre. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room extremely large and well appointed. Cooking and food storage exceptional also.
Review 32:Hotel and the area is so beautiful! Hosts were very helpful and the room we stayed in was amazing! The wiew from the terrace was beautiful and room was pretty, clean and spacious. Whole town is very nice and location was great. Breakfast is very tasty and there was enough food (home-made yoghurt!). Would definitely stay again and warmly recommend!
Review 33:jasmine scented, tranquil, perfect retreat within minutes of the fascinating town of Ascoli Piceno, all amenities, half-hour from the beautiful coastal resort of San Benedetto del Tronto and hill walks. Visit the Piazza del Popolo for people-watching from great cafes . Clean loos on 2nd floor of the Palazzo dei Capitani-there's usually an exhibition going on so you can just walk in! The breakfast i unparallelled- you'll be full for the rest of the day.
Review 34:very friendly and efficient staff and a wonderful location from which to explore this little-known gem of Marche.
Review 35:beautifull view from the balcony - on roman bridge and full panorama, brekfest on terrace

Review 38:THE WARM WELCOME WE RECIEVED WAS SECOND TO NONE BOTH FROM THE OWNER AND THE LADY WHO SERVED BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING.
Review 39:Very difficult to find, without a sat-nav.
Review 40:Very helpful owner & staff.
Review 41:Took a while to find by car. Make sure you have the directions in advance.

Review 47:Spectacular view of old town. Convenient location. Secure undercover parking. Lovely breakfast served on terrace.
Review 48:The private garden area
Review 49:Large bedroom and bath, excellent bed, good lighting, top location near Centro, garage parking, friendly, competent owner and staff.
Review 50:View, comfort of apartament, hospitability; breakfast on the terrace
Review 51:An excellent bed and breakfast in a breathtaking setting. Only a short walk to the main part of town. Highly recommended!
Review 52:There was nothing we didn't like.
Review 53:We loved the position, and the view from the terrace could not have been improved in any way. Elizabett was a charming hostess, who home cooked excellent breakfasts. Coming from Australia, we are not fond of sweer pastries for breakfast, but that is our fault, not Elizabett's
Review 54:The rear (street entrance) of the property felt more urban than weexpected from reading other reviews. But when you're inside theplace it is gorgeous! Less impressed with the town itself- graffittidrags the town down.
Review 55:Recently refurbished - really nicely done. Breakfast homemade cake etc.Nice people and Ninuzzo the pet rabbit! . Lots of care taken. Theproperty overlooks the ravine with the river and across to the town ofAscoli Piceno which is only minutes walk over the bridge.
Review 56:Stayed only one night. Excellent location with good views of the old city which is within a few moments walk across the bridge. Free secure parking just over the street. Very good breakfast.
Review 57:Excellent location, fantastic breakfasts, very helpful staff, comfortable and spacious room with kitchenette. Elizabetta gave great advice about where to visit and what to see. Highly recommended.
Review 58:This B&B was located in a beautiful old building with a wonderful view at Ascoli. Nice that it is close to the centre storico. Very friendly owner.
Review 59:Great rooms, incredible view, and fantastic breakfast. It's a little outside the center, but Ascoli Piceno is small enough that it doesn't really matter, and the views of the river and the town more than make up for it.
Review 60:Great Location near the old city. Lovely property with beautiful terrace. Amazing Views, especially pretty at night when the ancient towers are lit up. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast . Our room had an adjoining small kitchen and seating area which plain but very cozy.
Review 61:Not really a negative but just to be aware that they don't accept credit cards.
Review 62:Beautiful location across the river from the old town. Spectacular view from the rooms terrace (don't know if all rooms have this view). Very helpful staff and owner. Great breakfast location and food. Did laundry for a very small fee.
Review 63:Everything was perfect.
Review 64:A wonderful place at a very reasonable price, one of the most comfortable 'hotels' we have ever stayed in.Calling it a B&B does it no favour as it is more like a luxury apartment with a tremendous view of the city. Very friendly and helpful hosts, an enjoyable breakfast, access to a very safe garage and above all proximity ,2mns'walk, to the extremely beautiful town of Ascoli Piceno. We will go there again.
Review 65:Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Review 66:Excellent place to stay. Great location, great view, great housing. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best deal of the trip, and by far.
Review 67:only regret of staying here just for one night...
Review 68:We had a very nice overnight stay in this hotel. Very romantic place with splendid views of Ascoli Piceno, located just few minutes on foot from the centre. The hosts were very friendly and breakfast, served in the terrace, very good. Also we really enjoyed the town with its great architecture and atmosphere.
Review 69:The hotel cat, which was removed from sight if we so requested
Review 70:The friendliness of all the staff. The breakfast on the terrace. The relaxed atmosphere
Review 71:Lovely calm environment, gorgeous patio with lovely views of old Ascoli, very close to the town centre. Great recommendations for dinner. Huge room, having a kitchen was great.
Review 72:Elisabetta was very welcoming and kind and gave very good recommendations for restaurants. The apartment was very large and central. Ascoli is a lovely town and great to visit.
Review 73:No parking.
Review 74:Smaal rooms, but OK for one (or a few) nights. Splendid view on the city. Breakfast-area is super. Italian breakfast included, extra's on demand for free! WiFi OK.
Review 75:The location of the hotel was excellent and looking across at the old town from the breakfast terrace was a highlight. Great staff, handy parking, lovely breakfast, and large apartment.
Review 76:Liked everything!
Review 77:Cheerful, friendly staff made us feel special, could not have been more helpful. Beautiful, spacious, fully equipped apartment. Excellent breakfast, something to look forward to each morning. Convenient, secure parking - at no extra cost. Amazing views of the city, the river and the Roman bridge. Can't wait to go back!
Review 78:We had no complaints about the Antico Borgo; Do bear in mind that it is a quite small-scale establishment, with no telephones in the room, and no business center.
Review 79:The Antico Borgo is a very small establishment, and completely charming. It of course has none of the offerings of a large luxury hotel, but offers a fine experience of its own. If one wishes to visit a delightful small Italian city, and have well-located rooms while doing that, this is a fine choice. We were completely satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this facility.
Review 80:not a thing. Our stay was wonderful.
Review 81:We rented a one bedroom apartment and it was huge with a full kitchen, living/dining room, very large bath, big bedroom with comfortable beds and a balcony that ran the entire length of the apartment. The balcony could be walked on but was really too narrow for chairs. Large french doors opened onto the balcony from the bedroom and living room. The view was of the old town across the river and was beautiful, especially at night. Breakfast was served on a terrace with the same great view and was delicious. Indoor parking was available and included in the price. City center of Ascoli Piceno was just a stroll across the bridge. A great location and I cannot say enough about how charming the grounds of Antico Borgo Piceno was. Just go see for yourself.
Review 82:Ask for a room on the 2nd floor, the balconies looked amazing! The only thing we didn't like was we didn't know to ask...but otherwise a perfect stay.
Review 83:Beautiful view. Easy walk to the old town. Peaceful and quiet. Private parking space in a garage.
Review 84:The setting, overlooking the Roman bridge, river, and Centro Storico, was lovely. The owner and her staff were welcoming, accommodating, gracious, and extremely helpful. Our room, with living area and kitchenette, was clean and very comfortable. A great place to stay!
Review 85:Not an issue for us, but the B&B is almost in the city center, so parking is limited.
Review 86:The hosts were kind and helpful. They helped us find a place for dinner and provided a fantastic lunch with coffee, pastries, and homemade yogurt. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was clean and had everything we needed. The internet worked fast. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in Ascoli Piceno and really loved both this B&B and the town itself.
Review 87:just a perfect place to stay for a relaxed holiday. Breakfast very good including home made yogurt. Parking also available in a private parking. Very easy access to Ascoli Piceni which is a very old and typical romantic village.
Review 88:Great location, wonderful views of Ascoli Piceno. The staff was very friendly, helpful. Highly recommend!
Review 89:The staff was accommodating, happy and friendly. The room was roomy and the bed was comfortable.
Review 90:very good location near centro, good breakfast nice staff
Review 91:Somewhat distant staff.
Review 92:Perfectly located close to the city. Parking in front of the b&b. Nice room on the 2nd floor overlooking the city.

Review 101:Beautiful place and friendly staff. Great location if you have a car.
Review 102:Nice hotel in a 13th century building - real history. Cosy appartment, no luxury but enough space. Very good breakfast and very friendly hostess.
