Review 17：The garage was full. Even though we had a queen size bed, it was composed of two separate mattresses which was annoying to sleep on. Also other side of the bed was very squeeky, which didn't help to get a good night's sleep.

Review 20：Excellent location on the lake with close proximity to bus & train station, boats, ferry, the funicular, cathedral, gardens, kids play area; all 2 to 5 minute walking distance. Good breakfast and very pleasant staff. Nice clean room, spacious and nicely furnished. Bus pass for the day was 10 euros which is very cheap; funicular and half hour speed boat was 5 euros each which was all excellent value for money. Ferry is literally outside the hotel and cost 8,50 euro for a 1 hour round trip on the lake. Variety of hotels and shops nearby. Lovely scrambled eggs.

Review 25：- parking is microspopic and you have to leave the key to let them park (and they scratched even my roof box because they placed under the only low spot ... and they did not even offered a compensation until I insisted on it!) - rooms are old, small and often misses details like even a curtain for the shower! The bed was a lot firmer than what we are used to and the shower over the bath tub was difficult for my 83 year old mother. The breakfast was very good and had great selection. The staff were nice but not overly friendly or eager. An improvement would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 30：The room was very strange & not the sort of room you would want to spend any time in or more than a couple of nights. Apparently a quiet room but was noisy from running water from showers/toilets. The bed was very hard.

The bed itself was comfortable but the comforter was very dated and the pillow was thin and hard as a rock. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, to the point of being unusable.

Review 51：We reserved a table at the terraces of the Hotel to dine in the evening, as we came to eat the table was given to someone else. First they tried to put my wife on a terrible table( i was not there yet), and after i arrived and talked with my wife about it they must have heard that i was not happy at all with this and offered a nice to compensate. The next evening we went again to the terras restaurant and asked if the same table as previous night could be reserved with success this time. They said no problem at all and you probably guess right. Indeed given to someone else. The food is very good but this is NOT DONE.

It is a family run hotel but service is in the tradition of Grand European hotels, and manages to be warm and friendly too. Was lucky to be given a superior room with a lake view - it was wonderful to look out on the lake every day. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and daily fresh towels upplied. The staff were so helpful about extra soft pillows and a iphone charger, ordering taxis and using a computer to check in my flight when leaving.The buffet breakfast was very good and generous.I felt I was living in Room With A View. Have started saving to go back!

Review 111：We stayed in Room 73, it might have been an old converted linen room or perhaps modelled on a set from the Adams Family. The room was dark and dreary. Lighting from the bathroom would shine through a high level window disturbing whoever was in bed. Though to be fair the occupant of the bed would be awake due the solid slab mattress and pillow formed from a bag of cement. We did mention this to the chap on the front desk who did think it rather funny!

Review 112：The location of the hotel is great, very close the lake front and a nice stroll into the back streets of Como. The front of house staff were very professional with that wonderful Italian friendliness. Bar service was good though a tad pricey.

Restaurant area (for breakfast) looks shabby. Too pricey for what's on offer.
