Review 5:Advice and information from staff on the town and restaurants. Excellent choice at breakfast. Recommended.

Review 7:All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself was delightful, very clean, wonderful food and easy to find. We wil be recommending this place to our friends and returning again.
Review 8:We have been there before and then the wellness area didn't work. The staff promised us that next time they would give us some special offer. And when we came back after two years they really did it. It was very nice. The staff is amazingly friendly.
Review 9:Doesn't have any outdoor space, but that's a very minor grumble.
Review 10:A truly excellent hotel, extremely elegant and comfortable, great value for money, nice toiletries and a decent breakfast.
Review 11:The whole hotel from the top to the bottom was absolutely fabulous, the staff we so friendly and welcoming. The facilities were perfect and the bedding was so crisp and clean. Breakfast was also very efficient and well provided for. This hotel is a real credit to the owners and staff and a jewel in the crown of the hotel industry. A real Jem.
Review 12:For a 4* there were little niggles - the shower cubicle didn't close properly so it leaked, and only 1 bath towel was provided.
Review 13:Beautiful building with friendly staff in a great location. Lots of choice for breakfast.
Review 14:Airconditoning in room was inadequate, and fridge did not work
Review 15:Break fast was great, staff was friendly and helpful, parking was a plus, location great and cost good too
Review 16:This Hotel is central in Ascoli Picena, just a stones throw from the sights and places to eat. Parking was simple as we used the hotel's concierge parking service for 15 Euros. The room was quiet and cool, The bed comfortable and the bathroom delightful. breakfast was good and tasty
Review 17:Television didn't have any English channels. Breakfast was adequate. Could have used some different selections.
Review 18:Hotel was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Staff were very nice and friendly.
Review 19:Not a bad experience but the one thing the hotel lacks is a common area where you can read or relax.
Review 20:Had a fantastic stay in Ascoli Piceno. The hotel is perfectly placed and comfortable. The staff are great and were really helpful (for example in helping us with storage of our bikes and bike boxes). Breakfast was very good and the adjoining wine bar (where breakfast is served) is well worth a visit at night.
Review 21:The staff, the location, the rooms, the breakfasts, the assistance provided. We stayed a week and got to know the hotel and the people well. They could not have been more helpful.
Review 22:Had to pay for parking. A little bit hard to find even w/ GPS due to being in the historic center and inside the wall.
Review 23:Nice cozy modern room. Has fridge and coffee and tea maker. Nice big bathroom. Great breakfast w/ nice variety. Steps to historic center. Close to good restaurants. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Made up for any negative.
Review 24:This is a very comfortable hotel that has preserved the soul of the buildings from which it was shaped. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet ample, and some foods available for coeliacs.
Review 25:I booked the rooms 4 weeks ago and asked if they could advise me of the cost of champayne and flowers for my daughters birthday surprise, I didn't hear back until the day before our arrival but they had remembered and they pulled out all the stops, gave me a choice of 4 different champagnes to suit my budget and suggested an amount for the floral bouquet. This was all sorted in the matter of a few hours and all to perfection. Champayne on ice complete with glasses and the most beautiful bouquet of flowers already in the room for when my daughter opened the door.
Review 26:Historic town centre location means it's hard to get to by car (don't follow satnav!)but hotel provides off-site valet parking.
Review 27:Friendly staff, beautiful well-appointed rooms in a sympathetically restored old building. Nice touches like free minibar contents. Very central location near Piazza del Popolo.
Review 28:We had booked two single rooms, one standard, one deluxe (nothing else available on booking.com). We were given rooms 101 and 106. Both rooms were rather on the dark side. Architectural restrictions could have been mitigated by choosing lighter colours for the walls and curtains. Room 101 is especially dark, however, it was eur 16 dearer than room 106 as it was called "deluxe" room -- thanks to a small old stone in the wall! -- the only word that comes to mind there is rip-off!
Review 29:Friendly personnel, good breakfast.
Review 30:Staff was very helpful and you couldn't be closer to the main sites in Ascoli Piceno. The main piazza is a gem, especially if you like travertine.
Review 31:not being able to stay longer
Review 32:central location in walking distance of everything, extremely friendly and helpful staff, very clean throughout, architectural features, in the heart of the town surrounded by fabulous buildings
Review 33:I liked everything, BUT: although the bathroom was beautiful and spacious, it was unfortunately very cold, even with the radiator on. The double bedroom was nice and warm, but quite small (with two suitcases you can hardly move).
Review 34:Beautiful building. Staff and location were excellent.
Review 35:Excellent position close to the main piazza. All the members of staff we met were very helpful. . Very good breakfast, comfortable and warm rooms. Could not be better!
Review 36:First, Ascoli Piceno is an exceptionally beautiful town at the foot of the magnificent Sibillini Mountains. The Palazzo dei Mercanti, with only 18 rooms, is situated just off the Piazza del Popolo, the city's main square and surely one of the loveliest in all of Italy. We were driving into the town and had difficulty finding our way to the center, so we called the hotel for directions, and the charming young woman at reception, Laura, went far beyond the call of duty and actually walked to where we were stuck and rode back to the hotel with us, directing us all the way. Our room was comfortable and clean, and all the staff were most courteous and helpful. They parked our car for us and brought it back to us when we checked out. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful small city.
Review 37:We LOVED our stay at this lovely hotel. I was greeted at the door by Simona with just the warmest welcome. She immediately took care of all our needs including parking our car in the private garage (15e per night), giving us all the information we needed for being comfortable in the hotel and for getting around Ascoli Piceno. Our room was spanking clean and very spacious - especially by Italian standards. The bathroom was very large and beautifully equipped and boasted maybe the best shower we've seen in all our extensive travels in ITaly - it had both a hand held attachment and a "rain shower" head. The room (#203) had two large windows overlooking the street, which we prefer b/c we enjoy the sounds of street life. With the windows closed it is perfectly quiet in the room. The air-conditioning is autonomous in each room and worked beautifully even by American standards. Ascoli is a beautiful, tranquil, small city and well worth a visit. The Hotel is steps from The Piazza popolo with its magnificent Travertine surface; this shining place stands as my all-time favorite small Italian city center.
Review 38:The staff were friendly and helpful, and proud of their hotel. The building has been adapted very well for a hotel in contemporary style. Good central location for seeing the town, and I enjoyed a driving trip up into the high mountains nearby, too.
Review 39:Rooms were a bit small for typical American tourists.
Review 40:Staff was beyond amazing. Professional, friendly, helpful. Simone, Frederica, Rolanda, Laura. Location was perfectly central to all of Ascoli's beautiful and historical sites.
Review 41:To say something: the pianoconcerto's during breakfast were somewhat heavy to start a day
Review 42:Nice clean room. Beautiful hotel. Staff really friendly and helpfull. Wifi works perfectly. Perfect location in the center of the ancient city. Extras included where other horels don't. Good arrangement for car parking

Review 78:Beautiful, historical, clean...

Review 80:Had cold water in shower for 1-1/2 days till staff found a water pressure problem. We were checked into room 102, a handicapped room. if you don't need these aids, don't accept that room. Bathroom is cramped and shower doors leak water (cold) onto the floor. Location hard to find. Pay the 15 euro parking fee and just walk everywhere.
Review 81:Excellent location to the main sites. Really nice rooms. Very modern. Helpful staff.
Review 82:Wonderful hotel. It is a beautiful old building which has had a magnificent modern refit of the best quality. Considerate and friendly staff, magnificent breakfast. I have stayed in scores of hotels in Italy over the years. None have been better.

Review 86:Our first room was on the first floor on the back side of the hotel. If we opened the window the smell of fried fish was intense. Also a streetlight shone in. The room light was poor. No fan or AC. Still and small room.
Review 87:Good shower. Staff that tried to please. Location.
Review 88:Nothing.
Review 89:The rooms were nicely appointed and quiet. The service staff was exceptional with making us feel welcomed and for assisting us in getting the car parked.

Review 93:The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Excellent location. Quiet. Great room facilities. Complimentary drinks and WiFi. Room size was great as was the bathroom size.
Review 94:Absolutely gorgeous. The staff, the room, the breakfast. Here you feel that the owners know what travellers need. Not just taking the money, but give something excellent.
