Il Caminetto is a rustic and comfortable establishment situated in the very center of Elba Island, the largest of the Tuscan Archipelago, and part of its protected Natural Park.
All rooms have independent access. They are either located on the second floor and provided with a balcony, or on the first floor with access to the grounds.

Review 1：Balcony was small, woken by children frequently due to hotel layout. No air-con but was 37 degrees whilst we were there which is unusual for time of year.

Review 3：rooms a little on the small side. Balcony too small- only room for one chair. The restaurant and bar closed after meals so no-where to get a drink which would be nice if you spent the day round the pool.

Review 12：We, couple with teenage son, spent two nights at the Hotel Il Caminetto, Portoferraio. It’s clean, cozy and relaxing hotel with excellent food and huge swimming pool. The hotel is beautifully located in Elba so you can easily get out to the various parts of the island. The room was nice. There is no A/C on it, only ceiling fan. For us it was okay. We loved the atmosphere and the food was superb. The view from our balcony and the restaurant patio was breathtaking. Gianfranco and Patrizia are very nice couple, with amazing personality, always ready to help you. We enjoyed their hospitality so much we even wanted to stay extra night. Gianfranco is very knowledgeable; all of his recommendations were perfect. We will probably return here whenever we need to chill out from life again, as here reigns pure peace. We would definitively recommend to anyone.

Review 14：Good location in the middle of the island, very good if you have your own car. The hotel was nice and quiet. This hotel is very close, 500 m, to Napoleons residence. Nice view from the room and restaurant, you can see all the way to Porto Ferraio. The owner can help you find a good beach.
