The rooms at Il Monastero provide private bathrooms, air conditioning, wrought-iron beds, antique wood furnishings, original stone floors and walls, and wood-beam ceilings. All rooms overlook the garden.

Review 1：On the other hand the place was not clean and appropriate to the price. Overall the rooms and the hotel overall was not cleaned properly. Wifi was horrible, it was almost impossible to write and email or do anything at all.

Review 9：The staff were either rude or overworked. Our dinner order was wrong and our drinks never arrived on one night. Also they charge you for everything, you would have thought that parking and use of the pool and games room would have been included in the price of the room. Oh no! Oh and don't forget your towel for use around the pool as you'll have to pay 3 euros per day. The rooms were very dark and our air con sounded like a motorbike.

Review 11：wi-fi poor: limited to a ridiculous amount of data 30MB per room per day (available only at the reception - bar zone). After having configured the phone with no traffic data allowed in background and no apps upload, I tried a login/logout without any other navigation but it counted as 12MB consumed! Ants in breakfast cups. Breakfast essentially poor. 1,5€ per person per day to be payed as fee (hidden but mandatory fee)

Review 16：I didn't like the attitude of the reception staff, they were very surly, also I didn't like being asked to pay up front, but having been there I now understand why! We had to pay 3 euros for using the pool, games room and parking. Why not just add it into the price of the room? I stupidly thought that when you went to a hotel and booked a room that, that was included in the price. There were hidden little extra's everywhere, which in my opinion lacks class. Also the restaurant is so woefully understaffed, the waiters forgot our food and our drinks order. I suppose if the owner didn't insist on having dinner with his friends in the restaurant every night and thought about actually trying to help his overworked staff, then maybe we'd have been served properly. The shower in our room was pokey and the bathroom poorly laid out. There's also inadequate insulation as we could hear every word, sniff and cough of our next door neighbours. Just make sure you don't make any negative comments to reception as you won't like their answers. Food was average and the breakfast lacked variety, they were very slow to replace what had gone. Poor coffee and cheap fruit juice, no excuse!

Review 26：Very helpful staff, good amenities (pool, ping pong, outdoor chess, kicker, snooker) inside the hotel premises, very long beach nearby (15 min walk), possibility to do 2hrs long horse rides early morning or late afternoon. Good restaurant, fairly priced. Nice buffet breakfast - tip: ask an authentic capuccino at the bar instead of using the coffee machine.

Review 38：Nothing is included in what you pay...not even the possibility to use the pool for which an extra 1.50€ per day is demanded at the checkout...the breakfast is shameful: hotdrinks and "juice" are made from powder in a machine...if you want real coffee you have to pay for it! Also the "free spa" is not free, since you have to rent a towel for 3€ per person. About the surroundings: if you dont have a car, there is nothing for you to do here. No restaurants, shops, supermarkets by walking distance. The only way in ir out is a big national road where cars pass with high speed. This obliges you to stay and eat at the hotel if you dont have a car. The quality of the food is shameful. Most food is frozen while its not that far from the coast (1.2km) so at least fish should be fresh, but no.. Food all quite expensive and they charge extra 10% on all you order. Don't look for the river or national park advertised on their website because you won't find them.

Review 39：Staff is friendly and helpful, as long as you are a satisfied customer, but not to be trusted...they provide incomplete bus timetables in order to convince you to use a taxi (of a friend of them) for arrivals or departures early in the morning or at night... Its a quiet place for people travelling through the region by car. For a few nights max.

Review 51：The breakfast was rather minimal, offering only tea, coffee, a crossaint and sweet bread. The bread was hard and uneatable. Dinner is served poolside, which was OK, but nothing special. The pool is not much to recommend. Lighting throughout the hotel grounds was not very good. Internet service is 3€/100 MB or 5€/200 MB, limited to the bar & reception area.

All of them were so Kind, so that we miss them! The Swimming pool area is very well done, and all in all it is an marvellous Environment for People the like the Special atmosphere of an wonderful old nice monastery, which was used after ending as monastery as farm. All is well protected.

Review 57：it would have been helpful if there was free wifi throughout the complex. we only discovered on the last day there was a sauna which we would have tried. The chef did his best (they were delicious) but a wider range of vegetarian dishes for starter/mains would have been great on the menu.
