Review 1：Breakfast so disappointing - semi warm semi cooked scrambled egg - inedible unripe fruit etc. No water in room fridge on first night. No complimentary towels by pool - a daily charge for these from reception!

Review 2：Spa massage was enjoyable. Good sunbathing area but very cold pool and inadequate ladders for getting into/out of the pool.

Review 3：This is not a four star hotel. It is now dowdy and needs refurbishing to bring it back to its former glory. We unexpectedly had a twin room and the beds were very narrow - they also moved across the floor of their own accord. the food at breakfast was generally of a good quality although why they use tinned fruit salad is beyond me. The dinner was poor ... nowhere near as good as the local restaurants. the type of food one would expect at a conference. I understand why cheaper hotels charge extra for particular services as that is how they keep their costs down. but this is marketed as a four star hotel and we spent more than £2000 for two rooms.... it is infuriating to have to pay extra for wifi (from the point of view of convenience as well as money). And they charge extra for the "private beach" which is equally annoying. its a great shame as there very few 4 star hotels in this part of sicily. Even fewer than one thought as this is not a 4 star hotel . The hotel was disappointing as it was just not good enough for the price or the rating.

Review 4：the pool is lovely. Many of the staff are delightful - particularly the gentleman who helped us when we had problems with our hire car Sicily is beautiful. Mount Etna is amazing.

Review 7：The hotel is not for small kids.. there is no shallow end in the pool and the shallow-ish end is still 4 ft deep and right next to the bar where the kids were not allowed to be. The men must wear trousers to dinner rule is not fun when the temperature is over 40 degrees! We had our evening meal there one night which was not a good experience as it felt like they were rushing to get us to leave as soon as we sat down... we had 4 small kids at our table and we were not offered the kids menu to choose from.We also requested ajoining room as we have 3 kids but the rooms we were given were separate which was worrying for us .. lastly the shutter blind in the kids room did not work so we could not use the balcony.

Be careful, don't follow the GPS, follow the signs or you may arrive at the backdoor and it's quite an art to escape, backwards driving, no way to turn, through a small alley... Apart from the usual things, the place is interesting to observe... you might think you were dropped in a movie somehow... the suspected owner and his sons, watching the personnel. Talking Italian among them and plain american to their luxury decorated wife... The godfather is always near... We can write a book!
