Reviews for Villa Rosmarino
Review 1:Beautiful stylish villa, very clean, quiet, comfortable, relax, cannot finish all the goods to mention.... very hard not to come back stay here if we visit Liguria again.
Review 2:We stayed just for one day at Villa Rosmarino and it was magical! Mario, the owner of the villa, stays at the Villa all the time and makes sure, that every guest has a wonderful stay. He is very friendly and gave us some excellent tips on what to do in the neighborhood and even reserved a table for us at a very popular restaurant in Portofino. The interior of the Villa and the rooms is very impressive and truly luxurious. The bathroom is not only very clean, but also incredibly well designed. We will try to return as soon as possible, maybe not during the top season, but in fall, since the Villa should be beautiful all year long.
Review 3:No air-conditioning, except for a mechanical fan.
Review 4:The bathroom in the Palm Room is quite small but I am 9 month pregnant, so I feel cramped in most bathrooms now.
Review 5:The position is great with beautiful views and perfectly kept garden and pool. There are many other villas on the hill but scattered, you will feel isolated. Basically no traffic nearby, no disturbing bell ringing (there is some coming from both up the hill and down, but not too loud, and trust me I have a very light sleep), no dogs barking and the rooster mentioned by another reviewer is no more there. The tranquility matters in Villa Rosmarino: it obviously depends on other guests' behavior. Some walls are not really noiseproof, but we were there while all rooms were occupied and had no issues. Be ready that you might not be accepted with kids. On the other hand be sure there will be no screams and pool splashing early in the morning. The breakfast is served on one long table for all guests. Much fruits, croissants, cereals, yoghurt, bread and homemade jams, focaccia bread. There was no salty choice but I guess you only have to ask for it. There were no fridge in the room (the minibar is shared in a common area). I didn't see a TV around. But you'll not need it: there is a beautiful parlor with sea view, balcony, sofas and about 15 length meters of books of all kinds, many of them being photography volumes. The descend to Camogli by foot is a pleasant walk, the return is not a problem if you don't have mobility issues. In Riviera often the most beautiful places are ruined by train passage. Here you'll not notice it as the train enters in a gallery in Camogli and exits only over the Portofino hill.
Review 6:Slight lack of privacy, as one of the windows into our bedroom didn't have a curtain.
Review 7:Villa and the surroundings were beautiful. Pool area, gardens and view over Camogli were lovely. Breakfast was delicious and service was exceptional, akin to a 5 star resort.
Review 8:A perfect villa break in what is a very busy area of Italy - the villa is located up above Camogli, but it is easy to access the town by foot - and walk off some extra calories on the way back up! Views are fabulous and the Villa itself is beautiful - the decor is wonderful - design with function for a change. Mario and Francesca go out of their way to assist with plans, restaurant bookings etc.
Review 9:We booked at the very last minute and couldn't have been more delighted by the welcome that we received from wonderful Mario and the rest of his team at Villa Rosemarino. The people and the place are in perfect harmony: high quality design and perfect taste are matched by all-embracing thoughtfulness and courtesy. Villa Rosmarino is a beautiful home in a special location. Do you stay in and lap up all that the villa has to offer or set off to enjoy the wonderful Monte Portofino peninsula? What a wonderful choice to have. One small suggestion would be to provide facilities for making tea and coffee in the rooms....though we fully appreciate that Mario has probably thought about this and decided not to...with good reasons!
Review 10:Friendly efficient service and a stunning location
Review 11:It's chic, quiet, pretty and a wonderful place to be in. More like a home than a hotel. Great owner and staff.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Mario!!! What an amazingly lovely host -he made our stay memorable with his care and knowledge of the area. The villa is beautiful and very individual. The breakfasts gorgeous. The attention to detail was outstanding. We felt as though we had found a 'gem'!
Review 14:It is not easy to find the villa once you are in Camogli.
Review 15:The decor , the comfort of the bed, the view from our room, all of which made our stay very special! We met wonderful and interesting people. This villa is exceptional!
Review 16:- Villa Rosmarino is definitely overpriced and not worth the money (e.g. no blow-dryer). - The two owners and their staff were friendly but could not transmit the feeling of "being welcome". - We have been much nicer places for that price.
Review 17:- Very beautiful property with beautiful garden/pool, and tasteful design interior.
Review 18:Difficult to find. Needs clearer marking at driveway for any guest traveling by car.
Review 19:The location & view are magnificent. Staff very helpful and the accommodations very clean and comfortable.
Review 20:Quite a walk to Camogli and back and needed to use taxis frequently.
Review 21:Fantastic, beautiful property with excellent personalised service.
