Reviews for Fattoria La Tavernuzza

Review 1:You really need to apply repellant in evening as mosquitoes.. Not just here in Italy generally.. Especially in October after rain.

Review 2:This lovely accommodation was extremely rural. It's Location wAs not on out Sat Nav making it very difficult to find. A tip ....find it's location prior to travelling... Contact the management for points... Up to date Sat Nav. What i thought would take 2 hours from Bologna Airport took some 4..5 hours over some Mountainous terrains, foggy and very dark!!! The management of fattoria were extremely patient with us. They even made sandwiches for our arrival. They were kind, generous and genuinely enjoyed showing people their country. I would go here again, no hesitations. II would return to this apartment, it's the knowing that it's location is magical,, silent and quite a long way out in Italy's wonderful countryside. We loved it!!! But it's location is not everyone's choice. Although the views are awesome over Florence. Florence City is also awesome!! A small tip!! The local shop some 3 miles away was expensive.. Travel a little further to the edge of Florence use the Penny Market. ...

Review 3:Great suruondings. Great appartement, with all the equipment you need. Great hospitality and a lot of willingness to help. Very nice garden to seat and drink your wine.

Review 4:Nothing

Review 5:Everything! Stefano, friends and family couldn't have been more helpful when our car broke down. We arrived late but where still warmly welcomed by Stefano. They all helped massively with communications between the Italian garage and myself during our 3 day stay That's the type of host Stefano is! The apartment was massive with stunning views over Florence and the surrounding countryside. Very clean with all the things we needed on our stay, towels, pots, crockery, glasses etc. The bed was large and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The family cats where friendly and adorable. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend you give them a try.

Review 6:there was no kettle in the kitchen - otherwise, perfect.

Review 7:the owner, Stefano, is a great host! he'll make sure everything's alright plus he can tell you amazing things about the history of this place (hint: it starts in the 15th century!). the beautiful garden terrace has an amazing view on Florence, it's a perfect spot for having your morning coffee or either spending hours there having dinner, drinking Tuscan wine and enjoying the landscape. p.s. booking.com doesn't say it but there's wi-fi around the terrace and there's also a small pool, perfect for cooling down in the summer heat. in short: my family of 4 absolutely loved the stay and we'll likely return someday. not to be missed!

Review 8:No mosquito screens before the windows

Review 9:Great location, beautiful view on florence, perfectly maintained surroundings and pool, wonderful family that is friendly and doing everything to make your stay perfect. The kitchen is very new an fully equipped.

Review 10:Nice quiet place. Very convenient to reach Florence. Very friendly landlord speaking several languages. There was a bottle of wine as a compliment on arrival and an instruction (on paper) about free parkings around and in Florence, buses routes to Florence center and other useful information. Spacious apartments with great view to Toscana valley. There was a problem with the sink, but it was solved immediately upon request and during our absence. The place can be reached by car only and it is very desirable to have a navigator.

Review 11:- it would be nice to install some mosquito nets into windows

Review 12:- great location - view of Florence - pool - little lake with frogs - very attractive for kids - nice owner, speaking perfect English

Review 13:We spent 9 awesome nights at this place. We found the place with GPS very quickly although it was late at night.Stefano was waiting for us. We found an amazing, kind and very intelligent person.During our stay he was always ready to help and advise about any issue. The apartment is very cozy and authentic- we felt really at home during our trip and were always excited to come back in the evenings. The garden around the apartment, the lovely view at Florence, the olive trees valley and the lake - all of these сharmed us and our toddler daughter. Our daughter is 1.4 years and was totally happy there. We left the place with taste for more.We would like to thank Stefano and his family for a warm atmosphere during our stay. We highly recommend this property!!! It definitely will become a part of your future perfect Italian vacation:)

Review 14:We have a family of 10, including 4 children, and everyone has enjoyed the stay here. The house is located on top of a hill, surround by vineyards, olive trees, valleys, and endless hills; the views are gorgeous from many angles at each time of the day. Night scene of Florence is beautiful viewed from the yard. The house from both inside and outside is beautifully renovated that accommodate antique furniture and modern facilitates. Our host is such a nice person that we enjoyed very much to chat with. He offered very helpful advices on touring Florence that made our trip to the town so smooth and enjoyable. Driving to Florence takes only 30 minutes, and it is close to other Tuscany downs. For experiencing Tuscany, specifically Florence, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Review 15:* Beautiful location with skyline of Firenze in the background * Spacious apartments with good facilities for cooking * Friendly family with warm welcome and lovely stories to share about history, culture, cooking

Review 16:There was no lounge/dining room. The third bedroom could perhaps be turned into a lounge to have a place to sit comfortably. My father could not really sit anywhere and be comfortable inside the house so he went to bed all the time when he felt tired.

Review 17:The countryside and the old house that dated back to the 13th century (I think) and was built on throughout the ages. It was nice and cool in the midst of summer. It was nice to sit in the garden and have access to the very abundant vegetable garden. The owner showed us his 200 year + casks of olive oil and we were given a bottle with lovely home made oil.

Review 18:To get to the place needed to drive about 10 minutes on a rough road. There are some mosquitoes

Review 19:Stunning Tuscan views Apartments are fully equipped and large The homeowner is an amazing man and very kind Big garden There is a washing machine that is very useful for long trips. Relatively good location for touring Tuscany Province

Review 20:It was a highlight of our trip. Old beautiful house with a history. Olive oil plantation, lake... It all was just amassing!!!!! Stephane is such a great man. Huge thank you for showing us his oil processing perocess and sharing his home made olive oil. We would definitely go back there! I would highly recommend it. Location is great. Just 25-30 mins drive from the city. Unforgettable experience. Just a smal advice - for location of the property, use latitude and longitude coordinates.

Review 21:Lots of mosquitoes that we can't stay outside when it gets dark and need to close the door and windows before we turn on the lights.

Review 22:On a very quiet rural hill with beautiful view over the city of Florence. We ate a great lot of cherries in the garden....Thank you Stephano for your olive oil, your wine and everything! We all like Stephano very much. He showed us around his super big kitchen, and his newly built half-done house and his olive trees. Happened to find out that his daughter is a world champion and even participated in the 2008 Olympic games representing the Italy team...Forgot asking for taking a picture together. Next time when we come we will ask for one!!!! Super place for Florence stay, only 25 mins' drive. Very convenient for family with everything you may need in the apartment and we cooked every day. GPS and a car is needed.

Review 31:Location is great, close to Florence and with great views. We had a great time!

Review 32:1. My GPS could not find the place. but good things the owner picked me up after calling. 2. We lived in a very big house with three-rooms. But the rooms are not clean in all place. the toilet, the bathroom...the room looks like half year nobody lived, spider's web, Humid and wet, I couldn't good sleep. But there are also other smaller house nearby, from outside looks much better than the room we are lived.

Review 33:the owner of the farm is very nice. He showed us the equipments in the farm he made.Very interesting. There is a beatiful lake in the near. We were enjoy of the landscape and fruit tree, the tier and fishing...... My child had also very happy holiday.

Review 34:I've been a guest of Fattoria la Tavernuzza in more than one occasion mostly for business reasons but for leisure weekends as well. I've been really appreciating both the place and Cicali's family who always has been very welcoming and friendly. They really took care of everything to make my stay as confortable as possible. i strongly suggest it to everyone who'd like to spend a nice week or a weekend in the beatiful tuscan countryside.

Review 35:Finding a way to the house at the first time. It was a pain. There is no asphalt road. And at 10 p.m. it looks completely like road to nowhere

Review 36:All! Stefani, owner of the house, is an outstanding person. We were presented with a bottle of wine and bottle of olive oil.

Review 37:Everything was perfect.

Review 38:Awesome view of Florence valley. We had a very enjoyable stay here. Our apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. If you have your own vehicle, its a best place to stay in Florence. The owner "Stephano" is a Magic Man, we are so glad to meet him. He helped us in every possible manner.

Review 42:We stayed there for a weekend and enjoyed it very much. Initially we had some problems getting there (read: turn off gravel roads in GPS), but with owner Stephano's help (thank you so much again :) ) we arrived at really beautiful, cozy, peaceful and historic place with amazing garden and terrace in the middle of olive groves, overlooking Chianti region and Florence. Our dog also had a wonderful time running around and felt very welcome. Just perfect for any getaway to Tuscany - recommend 100%!

Review 43:Could have been cleaner.

Review 44:Spectacular view on Florence's valley, nature. Good place for not demanding travellers who like to see not only Florence but Toscana as it is.
