Reviews for Hotel Miramare Stabia
Review 1:the parking garage is quite narrow
Review 2:got a free room upgrade, very clean, nice staff, spectacular view from the room, good breakfast. All in all a very good experience.
Review 3:The hotel is on the waters edge at the beginning of a planned promenade, the old one having been dug up..so area is a little bit like a building site ino parts..no noise from the work tho and shouldn't put anyone off , I make the comment to encourage the authority's to get on with it. I understand work has been slow, people coming to the area will expect a more organised clean experience.
Review 4:All staff so helpful..nothing was too much trouble. Balcony in room and in dining room very pleasant for afternoon read and waking up at breakfast .the swimming pool after a warm day walking around..very welcome.
Review 5:No bad experience. However it appears the town is heading towards revitilisation with the promenade being upgraded. Great potential and the hotel has the best location. Not a sunbathing beach, but the pool looks directly out to sea anyway.
Review 6:The breathtaking view from the back of the hotel looking out towards the volcano. Wonderful sunsets every night. A wonderful, calm atmosphere. Excellent location near train station. An Italian city that has not been taken over by tourism yet.
Review 7:the advertising is misleading. the furnishings are not like they are in the marketing imagery. the location was dire and there was literally a building site outside the front door. the pool "bar" was supposed to be open until 6, but there was never anyone there after 5. the pool closed at 6, when it was still warm and the sun did not set until 8... so if you had been out sightseeing, there was no chance to relax by the pool.
Review 8:not much
Review 9:The location is awful. Dirty city with bad surroundings. No private parking in a 150€ per night hotel. You have to walk 300m from the park...at night it is better to sprint to avoid risks.
Review 10:The hotel and the facilities were fair for a 4 star hotel. The view is Nice only if you ignore everything except the sea.
Review 11:The beach is covered in garbage making it unpleasant to for walking and because of garbage in the sea it was unpleasant for swimming.
Review 12:The location is excellent for a day trip to Capri or Pompeii. All rooms have a great view of the sea and Mount Vesuvius. The pool area was very nice.
Review 13:This hotel is located in what is possibly one of the ugliest towns in Italy, Castellammare di Stabia, ruined by decades of bad administration, criminality, and negligence. I would recommend to drive a bit further to Sorrento to enjoy what is Italy at its best. The hotel itself was also much below our expectations: the room could have been cleaner and the staff a touch friendlier. But the biggest disappointment came with breakfast: one of the poorest buffets ever seen, with old and rotten fruit, indecently bad coffee, very cheap fruit juices and yogurt. Extremely bad value, as it is a rather expensive hotel. Would definitely recommend to stay elsewhere.
Review 14:The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view towards the sea and a small balcony.
Review 15:Me and my husband were backpacking around italy for our honeymoon and stayed here two days. This is a gorgeous hotel right along the water. We had dinner right on the water with Mt Vesuvius in the background. Beautiful! The staff is helpful and booked us a boat excursion around the Amalfi coast which is a must!
Review 16:nothing
Review 17:The staffs are quite friendly and the dinner in the restraurant is delicious. The city itself is almost nothing. But if you want to explore the Pompei and Sorrento or the Amalfi coast,it's the right place to stay.
Review 18:No parking. Dirty beach at the front but they cleaned it on our 2 days before our departure. Only one lift for guests. And could do with toilets in dining area and bar, too far to go in the basement. But didn't spoil our stay.
Review 19:Lovely and clean hotel. Swimming pool is superb. Good breakfast but could do more cooked breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location right by the beach. Feels luxurious staying in the hotel. Very happy to return and will definitely recommend this. On arrival they offered us free drinks, fantastic.
Review 20:The staff were so accommodating & friendly, really appreciated the service we had a great stay! The location was perfect for us because my fiancé was based in Marina di Satabia
Review 21:No complaints. The kids reported that the swimming pool was cold at times!
Review 22:An incredible view over the Bay of Naples and of Vesuvius. Stylish design and decor throughout. A large and very comfortable room.
Review 23:Alot of traffic heading into Sorrento, can take a while. On firstarrival, the beach is a mixture of grass, some rubbish washed up, blacksand due to volcanic ash, but don't be put off, this hotelsbalcony's and pool is great, evening meal and breakfast on a privatebalcony in the restaurant is awesome
Review 24:The location, although not Naples or Sorrento, has a great local feel, friendly, some nice bars and restaurants down the front towards to port. Hotel stands on its own, the beach a not maintained, but don't beput off - this is a great location for Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Amalficoast, with a great cocktail bar 250metres away!! Get the highest flooryou can, makes the views even better...
Review 25:Nothing.
Review 26:Swimming pool, staff really friendly and full of ideas for trips. View across the bay. Restaurant excellent in food and prices. In all could not fault this excellent hotel. Will be back.
Review 27:A hidden gem!Booked this hotel as a base to explore the sights on the Amalfi Coast. It's in a town which when you arrive at the station you may think is dead and wonder why you picked it! However the town comes alive at night!Get the train from Naples to the station and it's a 15 minute walk along the beachfront (this is currently fenced off as being regenerated but didn't ruin our experience of the town!)The hotel offered us a great welcome - we arrived about 1pm and were offered a welcome glass of prosecco while they photocopied passport etc. Our room was ready before the stated check in time so we were really pleased. Our room was on the corner so we had a "partial" sea view, but really it was a great view of the bay of Naples. The room was a fair size - great rainfall shower in bathroom (but also had small shower on wall so you didn't have to get hair wet!!)The reception staff were so friendly, going above and beyond their call of duty! Even rescuing my bikini bottoms when they went flying from our balcony in a storm! We had dinner in the hotel on our first night, and although it was more expensive than most meals on town it was worth it!Beautiful food and a great restaurant location - each couple / group of 4 has their own balcony over looking the sea! Book to guarantee one of these tables!!Breakfast was pleasant with a cold buffet - there was a large gluten free section as well. The pool is great and has views into the sea. Beach towels provided. The beach isn't for sunbathing but that didn't bother us.Free quick wifi for as many devices as you wish!Perfect base to get to Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri & Herculanum. The hotel booked us a boat trip around the Amalfi Coast and provided a free shuttle to the port which was great (we walked back in the evening - about 12 mins walk). As we were being collected at 7.20 they put on breakfast from 7am for us (7.30am was the usual start time).
Review 28:There was a great deal of litter on the beach and in the area around the hotel, and large hoardings put the town's promenade out of bounds due to renovation work.
Review 29:Stylish and superclean and comfortable hotel with great facilities. All staff are efficient, friendly and very helpful. Magnificent sea views. Conveniently situated for trains to major attractions.
Review 30:Beach around hotel is closed now for reconstruction.
Review 31:Personnel is very friendly. Although the town is pretty noisy, hotel rooms are quiet. Train station is close, so it is very easy to get to the Pompeii or Naples. Parking garage workers are very friendly and careful, so don`t worry when you will be asked to leave there car keys. Also there's wonderful pizzeria near garage.
Review 32:A bit stark in its modernity. Beach volcanic but hotel pool lovely. Also not close to shopping or other restaurants.
Review 33:Every room and all the common areas have unobstructed ocean view. Large, modern room with spacious bath. Very accommodating English speaking staff. Good food over looking the ocean. Only 12 minutes from Pompeii.
Review 34:Really a minor detail, but the local house wines - the only ones served by the glass - were not really up to the standard. Also, as everywhere in Italy, the wifi-connection was a bit slow.
Review 35:Fantastic stylish modern interior in a prime location for Capri, Pompei and Vesuvio! Excellent attentive service and nice dining in the restaurant.
Review 36:There was nothing
Review 37:Great hotel. Reception staff of Fabio, Francesco and Pietro were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. A refreshing change of some of the service encountered in France. Many thanks for making a very short stay a pleasurable one.
Review 38:The location of the hotel wasn't what we had hoped for, although no fault of the hotel.
Review 39:Amazing staff! Views were wonderful and the food was perfect!
Review 40:Miramare is a very good hotel, which is decorated beatifully. It's located to a good place - right to the beach of Castellamare di stabia. Hotels employees are well trained and really helpful in any cases.
Review 41:The only complaint is that there is no parking on the premises. A covered garage is several blocks away, but it is safe and hotel guests get a special rate.
Review 42:It was a wonderful surprise to arrive at the Miramare after driving through a working class town. The hotel is right on the beach and we slept with the window open, to the sound of gentle waves. Although it seems to cater to groups, the hotel was excellent in every way, including the restaurant, which serves high quality food (the best octopus I have ever eaten). Highly recommended - a good choice if visiting Pompeii, as it is only ten minutes away.
Review 43:There is no parking of the hotel, though there is a nearby private parking.
Review 44:The room was big and clean. Great view of the sea. The stuff was very kind and helpful.
Review 45:There wasn't much going on around the hotel so not ideal if you want something to do on a night.
Review 46:Absolutely spotless, staff very friendly and helpful, fabulous sea view. Highly recommend
Review 47:There is no ramp outside to get in the hotel, only stairs.
Review 48:Staff is very polite and professional. The view from the Hotel toward the Gulf of Naples is breathless.
Review 49:This was our second stay here and, if anything, it was even better than the first! The location is perfect, as are the welcome (with upgrade :) ) and the welcome glass of Prosecco. The room had a full sea view with a good-sized terrace ... and was absolutely beautifully furnished, with an enormous bed with crip white linen. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection from which to choose. I really cannot fault this hotel!
Review 50:There is no beach in Castellammare di Stabia. But this fact was obvious. So, that is not the disadvantage of the hotel itself. This hotel is a good variant if you want to explore Pompei, Sorrento, Ercolano, Napoli etc There is only one thing we don't like:often in the evenings some people rented a place near the swimming-pool or the restaurant for celebrating some event, so we were sure that at 11 p.m. the music would be switched off but we were mistaken. It did not happen at midnight...so I think in this case the guests of the hotel should be the priority for the hotel rather than the people who were renting the places for some events.
Review 51:A very nice hotel! Great staff! All of them are very helpful, espesially the guys in the restaurant and staff of the reception! Amazing view! The room is very cosy, everything is white and clean. I love the interior. Good italian breakfast:different kinds of cheese, ham, vegetables and cappuccino:) Swimming-pool on the terrace is good, also from it there is a marvelous view. Our stay was unforgettable!
Review 52:Exceptionally friendly and motivated staff. Unique location directly at the seafront with an excellent view. Great rooms with very comfortable beds and a nice balcony overlooking the sea. Very good breakfast too.
Review 53:Our bed was a twin set up as a double but with nothing to hold the beds together they moved apart.
Review 54:The balcony almost over the water; the serenity afforded by the extremely effective double glazing; the proximity to secure and affordable parking; 15 Minutes by train to Pompeii; the beautiful decor and the extremely helpful staff.
Review 55:Town itself is dirty and beach, sadly though efforts being made to clean up beach!
Review 56:Staff, number 1 Comfortable bed Sound of ocean pool Location for day trips
Review 57:The view from our balcony was lovely. The staff were very kind, helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean and modern. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
Review 58:Very dirty beach outside hotel, although that's not the hotels fault.
Review 59:Stayed here for 4 days whilst attending a meeting at the Vesuvian Institute. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. I was put in a fantastic room, with the most amazing views. It was hard to leave each day. Nice breakfast, particularly enjoyed eating on the balcony outside the main room. Lovely swimming pool too, really enjoyed my stay here.
Review 60:The rubbish on the beach. This is not the hotels fault, but if Castelammare is to make it in tourism the town really needs a good tidy up. Housekeeping staff needed to be a bit more diligent in replenishing room supplies. The hotel needs to complete a guest information folder as quickly as possible, and get the television sorted, as we were only able to get an English speaking channel on 2 of our 5 nights.
Review 61:Great waterfront location. Staff were excellent and most helpful. Nice breakfast with a choice of fruit, meats, cheese, rolls and pastries. The only hotel where we stayed in Italy over 3 weeks that provided tea and coffee making facilities in ten room. Great views of the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. A nice clean swimming pool A reasonable 15 minute walk, or €10 taxi ride from the train station. The hotel did allow a small discount for inconveniences with the TV.
Review 62:The only thing we didn't like was, when the wind was in a certain direction, the smell of sewerage coming from a small stream nearby, was quite bad. This in turn affected the beach and the sea water, neither of which we could use! Great shame as we loved the hotel. I hope this problem is sorted out soon.
Review 63:Loved the hotel. Great staff who were all very friendly and helpful. All the staff could speak good English. The hotel was very clean, with a nice pool. The views were really good, overlooking the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, with very beautiful sunsets. Only short walk to town which has some nice restaurants on the front. Catch the train to Sorrento, or go the other way to Naples. Sorrento was lovely, with bustling streets and a huge choice of restaurants and cafes. Pompeii was well worth a visit to. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Miramare. Thanks
Review 64:The beach was dirty and had lots of rubbish on it.
Review 65:The hotel was very clean and spacious. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The views from the balcony were superb.
Review 66:If you have a car, free parking is non-existent. You need to use the paid parking areas for €1/hour or the nearby car park for €10 per day.
Review 67:Clean hotel, good central location. Excellent sea view. Good WiFi. Friendly staff. Good location if you want to travel to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri.
Review 68:I could not criticize anything about the hotel.
Review 69:The hotel was perfectly positioned for getting out and about - it was close enough to town and right on the sea front. It was centrally located for sight seeing in the area too. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very modern but comfortable. Excellent sea views. The staff could not have been more helpful in giving local advice.
Review 70:Parking arrangements
Review 71:Staff who see things from the perspective of the customer Very good food Views of Vesuvius Outstanding cleanliness Comfortable, relaxing environment
Review 72:Parking is separate at 10 euro in a car parked owned independently of the hotel. Staff at car park were also very helpful but I was mistakenly overcharged. The hotel staff recovered this for me with no problems, but the experience would have been better if the hotel had control of the parking and it was included in a single charge.
Review 73:Great hotel, with wonderful views and excellent staff who could not do enough for us.
Review 74:There were no beach facilities but the hotel informed us there had been a problem with rubbish on the beach. This was being cleared while we were there and the hotel said they would have beach facilities next year.
Review 75:The hotel was beautiful and right next to the beach with amazing views. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! We were given recommendations for different excursions, which were fantastic. The hotel was modern and very clean. The town is not really touristic so you get the feel of a traditional Italian town. The food in the hotel was delicious.
Review 76:Location was excellent as its located in a village central to exploring the Amalfi coast, Pompei, Vesuvius and Naples. (30mins from everything) Quality of the hotel overall was excellent. The authenticity of the people taking their leisure walk on the village sea promenade, located next to the hotel.
Review 77:Unclean beach, not private, you have to move to another private beach if you d like to sunbath. The rooms were big, nice, but not very clean. No wi-fi connections in the room. Just few of stuff speak english.
Review 78:Good sea view. New furniture. White design.
Review 79:The town of Castellammare di Stabia has a number of industrial facilities on its waterfront, and these are visible from the hotel. The beach in front of the town and the hotel is not all that attractive as there is driftwood, empty plastic bottles, etc on it. On the other hand, there is a lovely wide pedestrian paved promenade that leads along the waterfront from the hotel to "downtown"-- nice to stroll on that.
Review 80:The hotel is well situated as a base for visits to Pompeii and nearby sights. The hotel itself is quite new and features an almost all-white and very fashionable decor. Most of the furniture and lobby is made from recycled materials, and is very tastefully designed. There is a lovely pool which was uncrowded the two times we used it. The included breakfast is decent. We stayed two nights and we dined at the hotel both nights. We were quite pleased with dinner. There are undoubtedly other good dining options nearby, but after a hard day of sightseeing, we appreciated the ability to dine in our hotel. Each night we sat outside on the terrace of the second floor restaurant, hearing the waves and enjoying the excellent views of the sunset and Mount Vesuvius.
Review 81:Arriving late we were greeted by staff who were welcoming and extremely helpful. They were brilliant! The hotel was amazing.
Review 82:Not many anenities in town for tourists
Review 83:Spectacular views
Review 84:Friendliness of staff and use of maintained pool.
Review 85:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were good and Caslellamare Di Stabia is an excellent base for discovering that area of Italy.
Review 86:Excellent service Great food
Review 87:Not the best location
Review 88:Interior, pool, staff
Review 89:Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The nicest hotel in the area
Review 90:The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
Review 91:No entry to the beach.
Review 92:Nice hozel, modern design. Very helpful staff.
Review 93:Watching the sunset on the balcony
Review 94:Prosecco for welcome, nice swimming pool, helpful staff
Review 95:Location. Watch where you step. Dog poop , garbage, all over Castalammare di Stabia.
Review 96:Loved the staff, the decor of the hotel , the situation right on the beach, the stunning rooms, fabulous resturant with wonderful views of the bay.
Review 97:Great view, excellent location, friendly staff
Review 98:people were very nice, the localization was awesome, just close to the sea, and with the Vesubius vulcan all the time looking at Us
Review 99:beach outside the hotel was very dirty
Review 100:position of premises, view from the hotel, staff were helpful, breakfast was fair.
Review 101:The area around doesn't come up to the standard of the hotel
Review 102:Wonderful light clean ultra modern hotel, right on the seafront
Review 103:Hotel was kind of hard to find.
Review 104:The staff was very polite, nice and helpful. Did everything to get us comfortable.
Review 105:Envarioment is terrible. Long beach with garbidge.

Review 115:Very nice Boutique Hotel. Very Clean and Very Friendly Staff.
Review 116:We did not dislike anything
Review 117:We like the friendliness of the staff and how clean the hotel was
Review 118:This is an amazing hotel, thanks to all the staff. My 13 year old son said this hotel is only for the stars!!!! he could not believe the view, pool and the location we had the most amazing time there and we will be back
Review 119:Just few recommendations, extend the breakfast and dinner timing, add more dishes options to the dinner menu, add ramp to the hotel enterance to facilitate luggage uploading and downloading.
Review 120:Fine setting and decoration, stunning view of the sea and surroundings, very clean rooms and hotel. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Amazing pool with sea view. Awsome breakfast service.
Review 121:There was. NOTHING
Review 122:Hotel is modern on the beach ,terraces over the sea, swimming pool .Rooms with balcony with panoramic sea views all you can hear are waves lapping on the shore. ALL the staff especially Vincenzo Raphael Fabiola and Mauricio made our stay very special. They were friendly and professional this hotel was so good we booked our next stay before we left and others find out about this undiscovered treasure in a beautiful town
Review 123:The hotel is new and so the restaurant hadn't yet opened (although was due to do so by the end of April 2014). Minor teething trouble with the wifi but quickly resolved.
Review 124:First of all, the location is amazing with great views over the bay to Vesuvius and beyond, into the setting sun. Staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay with restaurant tips, tourism ideas and transport logistics. Grazie mille a tutti! The hotel is brand new and stylishly decorated. Breakfast coffee very good!
Review 125:Location was fantastic, with fantastic views over the bay and Vesuvius. Very comfortable, spacious accommodation and very clean. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
The Fine Print
