Review 1：The hotel was a short walk from the town. The room was cleaned every day and linen changed. Breakfast was excellent served till 10 a.m. fruit juce,cerials, breads, yougerts & friut with sausage, bacon,egg,black & white pudding ,beans & tomato, toaste and tea all you could want to start the day. I would recomend this hotel we had 4 days in Ballina and I would stay again.

Review 7：This hotel was a last minute decision for a group of friends for a night out. If you are looking for something luxurious this isn't the hotel for you, but it was perfect for our stay. Very reasonable and It had all we needed, it was clean and the staff were friendly and they accomadated us with a late check out without any problems. Will definely be back.

Review 8：You should take this hotel off your list. The bedroom was fusty. The bed covers were very very faded. The single socket beside the bed had an old fashioned round headed plug! There was no hair dryer or iron in the room. The Irish coffee was the worst I have ever had.. .sloppy! Wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy

Review 9：Very close to town centre. Advice and directions offered about where to go and things to do and maps loaned to get us there. Breakfast was very good; we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Review 27：3 single sprung matress beads, 2 join together not comfortable to sleep middle part very hard. Old style tv, remote control not working, to change a Chanel needs to get out from the bead every time, no internet in the room available only in the main public area beside reception, blankets only, no duvets available in the room, not nice smell in the lobby. Our family paid €72 for 3 people, good price do. Our friends got a same size room at the same time, better TV, battery was heating in the evening our didint worked. Not happy, would not recommend to anyone at least no more option.

Review 29：The hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment! Very dated, blankets on the beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom was rotten with flaking chip board and a tap that only trickled!

Review 36：The location of the Downhill Inn is ideal for exploring the lovely town of Ballina. Check in was fuss free and our room was clean and spacious with a great big comfy bed. At €47 for the night, I couldn't fault it! Cheap and cheerful and I would have no hesitation staying there again!

Review 43：When I entered the hotel I found it very plain and simple and not athree star quality hotel. When we entered the room the carpets weredirthy and so was the batroom.As the bathroom was main facility of mystay it was not very pleasing. I also found stains on the bed covers andhad to ask to get them changed. While we were down stairs waiting on ataxi one night to go to the town a member of staff(looked like owner)passed us and never even said hello or asked us was our stay ok. Thiswas highly rude. Over all my stay was not of a three star quality and Ifeel I did not get my moneys worth. I would not recommend the downhillinn hotel to anyone either.

Review 65：I tried to book breakfast online, but there was no option. I tried to book breakfast when I got to the hotel. I was told to come down in the morning, no time specified. We arrived down at 10.30. We were told by the unfriendly manager that breakfast had finished at 10. She went on to point at the clock to show me the current time. I found this particularly patronising as I am able to tell the time. Signs around the hotel encouraged guests to come for breakfast before 9.15, but there was no sign around reception to say when breakfast finished. I think it is crazy to finish breakfast so early at the weekend. It is as if serving guests breakfast gets in the way of the running of the hotel. Anyway we found an amazing spot to eat at The Post House nearby.
