Reviews for CDH My One Hotel La Spezia
Review 1:At the front of the elevator there is a portrait with 'Welcome' written in various foriegn languages. Would like to have Indian laguage included.
Review 2:I found the alloted room size small. Requested the front desk for change of room. Ms Liselotte who was at the front desk was ver courteous to help me out. Appreciated.
Review 3:Shower is tiny. Nearly fits a fully grown person in it. Lift was broken but for some reason they removed the signs saying out of order. Staff were not all that knowledgeable on public transport that wasn't related to the cinque Terre boat or train.
Review 4:Nice room with balcony. Good air conditioning.
Review 5:Hotel advise already reserved the car parking for us before we arrive hotel. first day, we got a free parking in front of hotel. 2nd day when we back to hotel, the free parking is full, we check with the staff about our reserved parking, they ask us just park anywhere on the street if you see there are free space. End up, we receive the bill of the penalty about parking on the street.
Review 6:Breakfast not bad
Review 7:Breakfast was good but very busy busy coz of school holidays
Review 8:Location was good and the staff very helpful. The hotel was fairly new so everything was modern and also clean
Review 9:The room had tiles, I was missing some kind of carpet for a warmer feeling. I was also missing a four star hotel feeling.
Review 10:The location is great if you are going to Cinque terre, like we were, a straight 10 min walk to the train station. There is also an elevator and stairs next to the hotel to go down to the city, really convenient. Helpful staff, great selection for breakfast, parking space in front of the hotel, free wi- fi.
Review 11:Our room did not face the water - we were facing other buildings, but we did have a nice patio off the room.
Review 12:Clean, comfortable hotel with wonderful staff. Excellent location for seeing La Spezia and traveling by train to Cinque Terre as well as other cities. La Spezia is a great little oceanfront town and has more to offer than the 5 small villages. This hotel is right in the middle of the action. It's a short walk to the train station and trips to Cinque Terra take less than 10 minutes by train. Can also get to Pisa easily from here.
Review 13:There was absolutely nothing that we did not like.
Review 14:The room had a lovely semi-private terrace. The hotel was very well situated. Wifi was fast and reliable. The breakfast was superb, and the staff in the breakfast room, notably Andrea and Barbara, were friendly and accommodating.
Review 15:The breakfast provided was not up to standard. When breakfast is offered from 7:00 to 10:00 the supply of food should be replenished over this time. Also in our travels this was the only hotel that did not provide a range of coffees.
Review 16:The wifi was hopeless and kept dropping out every few minutes making serious use impossible. Breakfast staff standing at my shoulder having a private conversation with friends whilst I tried to eat. A lift that rarely seemed to arrive.
Review 17:The large balcony area. The central location The choice at breakfast The quality and cleanliness of the rooms
Review 18:It was ok considering we find an offer with 50% discount from the original price. Full price is too much for what is offering. Poor breackfast. Great location. Extra: we had parking place in front of the hotel,.without any extra cost.
Review 19:No air conditioning and staff didnt do anything to help my pregant wife. The hotel even charge me more for one night than the fare agreed in booking. Terrible experience
Review 20:location
Review 21:Nice hotel with a futurist, modern design. Friendly staff, good English speakers. Breakfast was nice, Comfortable room, lots of toiletries. Hotel is 5 min walk to the maritime port and 5 min walk to the main street with pubs and taverns and 10 min to trains station. Hotel is perfect for trips to Cinqueterre.
Review 22:Breakfast just OK and the dinner room, ground floor, obscure room. Lights in the bedroom were not working .
Review 23:Hotel location is great , friendly staff, clean
Review 24:air conditioner wasn't powerful enough to keep the room cool but openable window was an alternative
Review 25:location convenient for town and to station for cinque terre
Review 26:Breakfast was average, however, by the time we got there (at 8:30AM) most of the coffee, tea, and hot water was gone, and it was very difficult to get anymore as the kitchen staff were always running around. Location of the Hotel is a bit difficult to get to with suitcases, as the streets around are very rough (but this is not the hotels fault.) A little bit of information about what is in the area, such as restaurants, supermarkets etc, would have been appreciated.
Review 27:The staff at the front desk were great - probably the nicest staff I have experienced before. Not sure of her name, but I think she was the manager - she was very accommodating, answered our questions with no hesitation at all. The room was a good size.
Review 28:not find yet.
Review 29:Stuffy very friendly. The room was supper big with living room and bed room. Big bathroom. All clean and comfortable. With private parking. Breakfast was well. The price acceptable. Recommand.
Review 30:The air conditioning did not work properly. With the temperature outside 30+C it was about 28C in the room. The AC had more of a fan role than cooling. It was unbearable to stay in the room and impossible to sleep without the AC but so loud with it that I had to use ear plugs all the time. The breakfast was very poor. Plus the impossibly high temp melted food. It was unpleasant. The room itself was not good enough either.
Review 31:Location
Review 32:The shower space is really small. One of the receptionist indicated to us an awful restaurant nearby, Pepe Nero.
Review 33:It's located in a good area, near shops, food market, with easy access to buses and to the marina, where you can get a boat to Cinque Terre or Portovenere. Good breakfast. It has parking spaces.
Review 34:I don't think smaller shower exist, than the one we had in this hotel. No way you can take shower and not flood the entire bathroom. On top of it shower handle was spraying water in all directions so it was a bit challenging to make normal shower. Bad was quite hard so not that pleasant to sleep in. Breakfast was very poor, without any variety. Staff on the breakfast was extremely noisy, throwing forks and knifes in the sink which is immediately next doors, so not quite enjoying after waking up and coming for breakfast. Breakfast room was extremely hot, no AC in there. One of the staff on the breakfast took croissant plate and rearranged it with his bare hands and before that he was cleaning other tables, not that nice to see. Extremely expensive hotel for what they offer.
Review 35:Location is good, in city center close to train station, 10 min walk. Free parking on site, but you can not find available place always. Very nice lady on the breakfast, very polite but wasn't there all the time.
Review 36:Good location, with parking available at the front of the hotel. Easy access to the pedestrian area of La Spezia.
Review 37:Nothing I didn't like
Review 38:good location, friendly staff, and central to wherever we wanted to go
Review 39:Far from the train station
Review 40:Modern place Close to the saefront
Review 41:Parking,parking,parking!!!
Review 42:This Location was great! Easy access to the town and the room was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was also great!!!
Review 43:The hotel was modern and the staff very friendly. Although the room wasn't large by US standards it was comfortable for the two people
Review 44:Minute shower, and hot water geyser positioned right above the basin in the bathroom
Review 45:Excellent location and very helpful staff
Review 46:The staff was excellent. Lisolette was too kind in helping us with our plans and very informative. Location is pretty central.
Review 47:The breakfast was very basic and the same selection every day
Review 48:The location is very central to the shops and cafes
Review 49:small rooms, very small bathrooms. all hotel looks like a honest 3 star hotel, not 4
Review 50:Central location, helpfull staff
Review 51:Parking is a little bit difficult
Review 52:Breakfast with a lot of choice
Review 53:Shower head support does not work well
Review 54:Hard bed and low pillow for good sleep
Review 55:Good location and helpful staff.
Review 56:We didn't like breakfast
Review 57:Clean, very helpful staff, nice location.
Review 58:Property not as nice as advertised and pictures provided
Review 59:Breakfast was decent
Review 60:Breakfast need to find a way to keep the hot buffer hot, very small bathrooms and showers.
Review 61:location, room size.
Review 62:Short walk to everywhere.
Review 63:Location and friendly helpful staff. The rooms are very clean.
Review 64:Friendly, very helpful and wonderful staff at breakfast to talk to as well as receptionists.
Review 65:Lift was very slow with long wait Beds were too hard
Review 66:Location was close to piazza and to railway station Breakfast staff very helpful and friendly
Review 67:Had no hot water the entire time, mold in the shower, ac didn't work, and they didn't fix anything when told them of said problems.
Review 68:In town
Review 69:Fantastic service and location. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 70:Location was great!
Review 71:Adjacent buildings and therefore the views are trashy and full of graffiti.
Review 72:Rooms were in good condition. Comfortable. Good price. Easy to walk from the hotel to the train, restaurants, piazza, etc.
Review 73:No view from bedroom.
Review 74:Very convenient to town centre and railway station. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with new towels and bed linen most days.
Review 75:The elevator was not working when we arrived. Luckily we only had to take our suitcases up one floor. The exit from the back of the hotel led to an alley which, while it may not have been unsafe, made me feel uncomfortable.
Review 76:I found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. The separate sitting area gave us plenty of room. The included breakfast was very good as well. There were a number of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Review 77:Was initially assigned a very small room, compared to our friends who received a larger and better room for the same money, under the same reservation. After complaining to the hotel staff, and despite initial resistance on their part, we were moved to a better room the next day.
Review 78:Location - close to port, shopping, restaurants, and train station (10min walk).
Review 79:Stayed on the main floor - was a bit noisy and the pillows were not the most comfortable.
Review 80:Great staff and service, location was perfect in the center of the city and a close walk to the train station, ferry terminal, and many restaurants.
Review 81:We are a mature couple who have traveled a lot around the world. I must say this hotel was one of the worst hotels. If you are a big person there is no way you can have a shower in this place. The shower cubical is only 650x650 and you can't get through the shower door. When they finally found us a room with a air con that works, it spat out a lot of black dirt every time we turned it on. They serve orange cordial for juice at breakfast. I would never recommended this hotel to anyone. disappointed.
Review 82:there is nothing we liked about this hotel.
Review 83:Bathroom was dated and a little dirty. Walls and doors were thin - noise echoed despite guests' efforts to be quiet. Pack of young people hanging out in the plaza below the hotel made me uncomfortable.
Review 84:Central location within walking distance of shopping and parks. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 85:Parking really unconfortable. If you have a big car forget about this hotel. They have a parking for 12 euro a night not really close to the hotel. Wifi non really working and room without any view. Air condition not working at night and room was cold.
Review 86:near the center, hotel was ok but 60 euro in two was the right price 109 euro was really too much for this hotel
Review 87:The breakfast could be better. The city itself is very quiet.
Review 88:The hotel is located in the center, close to the railway station (10 min walking). Modern style, quite big rooms, clean. Friendly English speaking staff. Good to stay in the city if you want to visit 5 lands, Pisa, etc.
Review 89:We had to turn off the shower several times during each shower as the drain was not working properly. The mattress made for a poor nights sleep as you could feel the springs digging in. Very thin walls, could hear neighbours conversations Could hear all noise from reception area as our room was just down the corridor
Review 90:Room 402 below the breakfast area and from about 4.55 am every time they made a cup of coffee you could hear 4 bangs as they disposed of the used coffee, also the stools or chairs were scrapping along the floor as people sat down or got up to help themselves to food. Not a great area, but saw no trouble lots of graffiti on walls.
Review 91:lots of nice restaurants and shops, 3 mins away, 10 mins from train station. We used it as a base to go to other smaller towns for walks. Nice festival atmosphere last weekend plenty to do for kids playing as pirates, colouring, boating theme.
Review 92:The breakfast options were limited.
Review 93:The staff were very friendly and were able to help with every request we had. The facilities were modern and comfortable.
Review 94:The beds are a little bit hard after a few days it is difficult
Review 95:The location is prefect. You go down at the hotel and you are right in the middle of the action stores, restaurants. Walkable distance to the train station and to the boat. very good experience. I'll be back.
Review 96:The hotel was nice and clean with a good access. The location provides easy reach up to the center of the city and also to the main facilities like port and railway station that might lead you to Cinque terre. The staff was really helpful and offered us a great support during the stay.
Review 97:The hotel is set on a hill with our room looking on to a central light well which made me feel a bit claustrophobic. You could also hear every flush of the toilet in the adjacent room.Hotel modern but no atmosphere
Review 98:Great location to explore cinque terre. Towns restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Train station a ten minute walk or short cab ride. Town not as attractive as cinque terre towns but saves on lugging cases on busy tourist crammed trains working there way between the five villages. If had less luggage next time would stay in cinque terre
Review 99:Small shower but I guess I was only spending 5 minutes a day in there so it really didn't matter all that much.
Review 100:Very friendly staff always keen to help. Hotel was kept very clean. Very good breakfast, lots of options. Right in the heart of shopping area
Review 101:The. Smell and street was not clean or pretty
Review 102:Staff very nice helpful they recommended the absolutely best restaurant. The breakfast was wonderful. Hotel was nice and clean staff was wonderful.
Review 103:The hotel is three star at its best.I have stayed in much nicer three star hotels. Hotel and rooms are bit used, rooms are very basic, shower very small. Said this the price was too high.
Review 104:The location for exploring cinque terre. Close to port, close to railway station, right in the middle of town. The staff that welcomed us was really excellent and helpfull.
Review 105:Hotel provided two twin beds and didn’t have any doubles or queen or king beds, shower was a joke if you are a large person the demission’s were so tight my shoulders hit the sides. Exit to the bottom of the hotel is very dirty outside and please don’t take a left or your be smelling and seeing raw sewerage.
Review 106:Hotel was clean inside and breakfast was good.
Review 107:Location was a ten minute walk to the harbor or to the train station. Hotel has parking, so it is easy to make day trips to the coastal villages by ferry.
Review 108:small and poor room. i stayed in a lot of hotels , it's like in small rooms in hong kong. in my opinion it should be less than 4 stars
Review 109:most of the staff is very helpfull.
Review 110:Efficient, helpful staff, nice area, within easy walking distance of major sights, train station etc. and a stone's throw from the pediatrianised shopping street with good restaurants.
Review 111:Not negative but being located in an old town views are limited as neighbouring buildings are somewhat run down.
Review 112:Modern hotel, very convenient to transport for cinque terre. Nice to be in a comfortable hotel in an old town. Good eating all around.
Review 113:Allocated bedroom next to reception and lifts the first night. Very noisy. Hotel could do nothing the first night but did move us the next morning.
Review 114:Reasonable location. Fairly modern hotel
Review 115:everything was fine accept maybe that shower cabin was so small.
Review 116:It`s a nice hotel in city center in walking distance to railway station where you can take a train to Cinque terre. The room is large, clean and comfortable. If you are lucky you can park your car for free in front of hotel (they have a few spaces reserved).
Review 117:Good location to walk to the port for a boat tour the Cinque Terreand return by train. Also a bus to Porto Venere. Close to pedestrianarea of La Spezia. Parking available. Pleasant personal, English andFrench speaking.
Review 118:The bathroom smelt strongly of urine - we had to close the door at all times otherwise it stunk out the room.
Review 119:Lisolette(?) at the front counter was very friendly & helpful. Her suggestion to take the ferry at Cinque Terre improved our day & was a highlight of our trip.
Review 120:Only the lift which go out of order for 2 days
Review 121:Very near from shops and 10 minutes from train station . I adviseto visit portvinere which by ferry need only 20 min, andcinquterra ''5 islands" very nice small islands withcolorful buildings
Review 122:No serious comment, perhaps only that the shower in the bathroom isquite small.
Review 123:The friendly and helpful staff, excellent location for viewing thefamous village (10 min walk to the main train station). The problem withthe light in the bathroom was abolished immediately. According to theitalian situation excellent and rich breakfast. Reception staff adviseda great family restaurant ten minutes walk away from the hotel.Hoteldefinitely worth the money we paid for it.
Review 124:Excellent service and location. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we required. Tremendous staff to assist with anything we wished to know or want. Car parking at the door (free) to. Excellent choice to stay and enjoy the City and surrounding villages from.
Review 125:- Parking ca 150 m away- poor breakfast, croissants had been made days ago - view from the room = dirty courtyard - I would definitely categorize this hotel as a 3*, not 4* hotel. - bathroom small and dark
Review 126:+ Friendly receptionist+ close to railway station and mainstreet of the city was behind this hotel
Review 127:Hear noise from next rooms
Review 128:the location is great and the possibility to parking is very important. the hotel clean and you get exactly the value for money
Review 129:We booked a non smoking room, during the night the smoke from theadjoining room filled our room. We were extremely disappointed and wereoffered no compensation for our sleepless night. The showers was toosmall. The bathroom door didn't close.
Review 130:when i drive, i can't find the directly way to the hotel by GPS without getting lost. when i walk, the location is quite near the train station but not as you think. you have to walk uphill from the train station to get through hotel.
Review 131:the room design is quite different from most of italian hotels. it is modern and colorful. the breakfast is as good as it should be. the most outstanding of the hotel is one of staff, i can't remember her name, is very nice and her english is very good!!
