Review 1：Our flight was delayed a day we arrived 10am the next day and was toldwe could not check into our room although we had already paid for it andwas told there would be no refund. We have asked for a receipt for ourroom payment for insurance reasons to date we have still not receivedit. The swimming pool way too warm like a bath. Restaurant service wasnot the best. I wouldn't stay here again

It is a fairly large facility but you would never know because the design is so well done. The landscaping and pool area is very beautiful. Also, I like how the pool is right next to the restaurant.

Review 15：We loved staying here, the staff are excellent, location is great, the resort is stunning and clean, only 15 min walk to discovery, with lots of shops, markets, spas and restaurants along the way and right next door to Lippo via back entrance.

Review 16：Front staff are not knowleable about hotel bis. in general. in US & Canada and Europe one can talk about mistakes. ie: Billings mistakes, such as what hapenened to us. Booking. com and myself counted incorrectly the amount of stay days because of dateline affected our stay by one day more and came out to 26 instead of 27 total. i tried to make sense with staff upon arrival as previously discussed with Booking.com to no avail. Could not be understood and staff were no willing to adjust billing. You made reservation and you pay, that was end of discussion. Poor management in their part...

Review 17：The nature rear of hotel and surounding.

Review 18：Took an hour and a half to check-in even though we booked well in advance...as Risata initially didn't have a room that we paid for with a bath-tub and king bed, even though we mentioned that it was my wifes 50th b-day..That said, after viewing three rooms we were upgraded to a studio room that was very nice. Part of the problem may have been due to the hotel thinking that our request for a room on the first floor meant we wanted the ground floor, as in Bali, apparently, the 1st floor means ground? In the end the Manager did come through for us which we appreciated, and the only down-side was we were put through unwanted stress and lost time.

Review 20：Hotel is very close to airport and the beach which why I choose it. The hotel does not have a shuttle to the airport. The taxi ride was suppose to be 20,000, driver demanded 80,000, with no small money I was forced to argue with the driver or move on.

Review 24：Fitness centre could be better - quite small and the only decent cardio equipment was the treadmill. But it's enough, for what you pay. Tried to rent a DVD player (as is supposedly on offer), but they didn't have any. The rooms themselves are a bit old - most evident in the bathrooms - but you get used to it quickly and it's not a problem.

Review 27：Great location - only a couple of minutes to the beach. There are shops and bars right outside the hotel. Very safe outside, even at night. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with lots of lush plants. There are even squirrels in the trees. Breakfast is a buffet with salad, an egg station and lots of different western and Indonesian food. The pool has a swim-up bar with a happy hour. A small part of the pool is usually in the shade, should you need to avoid the strong sun. Transfer time from the airport is about 10 minutes. We had no trouble getting a taxi for 60000IDR each way (£3/$5us/$6aud) though I do suspect that if you enjoy spending your time haggling, you could probably get it cheaper. The main road is just round the corner from the hotel and it's possible to easily walk right into the centre of Kuta but taxis are very cheap also.

Review 28：I have been traveling to Bali 2 or 3 times a year for the last twelve years and this is the worst value I have experienced. Granted it was high season, but things got off to a bad start when I informed the manager that I had sprained my ankle and needed a room closer to the pool and restaurant. He refused to move me using high season as the excuse. Our room was at the extreme back end of this large aging property. I spent 11 days limping back and forth to the entrance. The room itself was dark and had only one window and no balcony. I love sitting on a balcony enjoying the famous Bali mornings. At 1.2 million rupiah a night, I should have had that. In addition, the sink in the room was partially plugged and was slow to drain. I reported it to reception and as far as I could tell it was never fixed. They have a bizarre policy on the internet. The first 100mb is free. After that, you have to pay for additional time. Incredible in this day and age. I vehemently refused to pay it since I was staying 11 days and they agreed not to bill me. Finally, the food was mediocre at best. Even though the clientele was mainly westerners the breakfast buffet was mainly Indonesian dishes and was somewhat limited. My biggest food disappointment however, was the Christmas dinner. They advertised roast turkey. It turned out to be some kind of turkey casserole consisting mostly of bread and seasoning and then cut into slices. I'm sure there was turkey in there, but it was difficult to detect. The New Years buffet was unimpressive. With all the new construction going on in Bali, I'm sure there are better places to stay for the same money.

Review 29：Short walk to the beach. Eat at the Pantai Restaurant on the beach instead of the hotel restaurant. Most of the staff displayed that genuine.Balinese kindness.

Review 30：The gardens are lush and maintained to a high standard. The staff are friendly, and make sure that everything is too your liking. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is excellent, with a range of dishes to suit any palette. Great family resort.

Review 35：In 30 years of traveling, the worst hotel I have stayed in. Even a 3 star hotel in Shanghai China was better. Both our rooms were stinking of pong, cupboards dusty, food disgusting and air cons not working properly. The beach nearby is black and dirty and smells of dead fish. The high 8.1 rating was totally misleading when we booked and we had to checked out after the first day resulting in us losing about R16000.00 we paid with the booking. Your company must review the non-cancellation policy with poor hotels. This is the first time your company has failed us dismally and I will not trust your reviews in future.

Review 37：Just about everything...there isn't much not to like about the Risata Bali. Staff are very friendly a great swimming pool with swim up bar (but not attended) rooms are slightly damp smell but you get used to it and it is a humid climate anyway and are very clean. I actually have no complaints at all that are worth mentioning. "A Bali's Hidden Gem!"

Review 40：The location is far from the center and from the interesting part of the beach. The wifi is limited in the bedroom, and after a while you need to pay an extra. First time I see that in a 4 stars hotel... The staff is the biggest problem. And talking about the staff, I include the manager. They don't do their best to make you a pleasant journey when the problem is coming from them.

Review 41：Beautiful facilities with lots of space and plants. The lights and ambiance during the night are lovely. The swimming pool is very nice and the bar is pretty close. The breakfast is also very good. The cleanliness is good too.

Amazing, soigne garden. Daily thorough cleaning. The magnificent, varied and very tasty breakfasts. Restaurants food is yummy-yammy . Big clean pool, uncrowded, quiet atmosphere. Unsurpassed interior of lobby, excellent flower decoration, convenient parking for vehicles. There is a spa salon, which are professionals doing a fantastic massage. Separately, about the staff. ALL very friendly, welcoming, sympathetic. Here, there is a feeling that you're at home, like one big family. Want to come back here many- many times.
