Reviews for Hotel Palladio

Review 1:The beach across from the hotel was very untidy with lots of RUBBISH<and no sunbeds , you had to walk the other end of the bay for decentbeaches . and as the hotel was near the hospital ambulance. And policesirens were sounding all the time day and night, and the hotel is notplaced in the nicest part of the resort, the buildings and shops in thesurrounding aria had not had much love and care also there was nothinggoing on everything was about 10 minuets walk.

Review 2:The hotel was quite different in decor, with lots of color, every were, our room (24) was lovely lots of space and a good view of the sea fromour small balcony the shower room was very spacious, and the linen andtowels were very good quality. The staff were lovely, nothing was tomuch for them . the hotel had a very nice family atmosphere. The busfrom the airport stopped across the road from the hotel and also otherplaces of interest. The roof restaurant was very nice but it was mostlyfish and shell fish

Review 3:A stay at the Palladio is a unique and memorable experience. The staff, the style, the location, the views and, most of all, the food are amazing. You simply cannot go wrong with this place.

Review 4:Centrally located and private parking only 200m from hotel. All the staff were very friendly & helpful (thank you Fatana). Good selection of home made items for breakfast, great dinner on roof top terrace with unobstructed sea views

Review 5:This is the noisiest hotel location imaginable and impossible to enjoyas it is like sleeping on the highway, despite the double-paned glass. Two busy roads envelop both sides of the hotel, making for constant loudvehicle noise. It is a very unrelaxing situation overall, as while thehotel is nice enough, it is right on the road in this fairlyunattractive beach town. The beach is close by, it should be noted. Therooms are pedestrian and the beds are not comfortable.

Review 6:They are very kind, helpful and good people who work at the hotel. Theroof terrace is lovely and the breakfasts are great.

Review 7:The staff were exceptionally helpful, polite and kind, the food was utterly delicious, as a woman travelling on my own I couldn't have wished for anything more. The terrace was a perfect spot for dining, the size of the hotel meant all the guests were friendly so I never felt lonely or uncomfortable when eating on my own. I felt safe and comfortable and look forward to returning.

Review 8:Nothing to say, great location for the interbus with a hint of local culture on the doorstep and a walk away to the tourist haven that is Taormina.

Review 9:The people were very friendly and even though Italian was not on the tip of our tongue it wasn't required as the hosts were ever welcoming and met all of our requests. The evening tasting menu was out of this world with the young chef sizzilling up a new delight at every gasp.

Review 10:Whilst the room did have a kettle, the hotel only provided tea bags - not helpful for coffee or chocolate drinkers.

Review 11:The staff (in particular Roberta) were extremely friendly and helpful. As a base for visiting Taormina this hotel is superb, as the bus stop is right opposite, and takes only 15 minutes to get to Taormina terminus. Also a good choice of well-priced restaurants in vicinity.

Review 12:Noisy road between hotel and sea.

Review 13:Gluten free meals. Good ecologic kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful sea view. Well maintained antique furniture. Sorting of recyclable rubbish.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:Staff, location right by the shore (and bus stop to Taormina), view, breakfast (fresh scrambled eggs to order), room superb, fridge, kettle, well appointed bathroom. We turned up too early and the staff were incredibly accommodating providing us with a drink on the terrace overlooking the bay while we waited for the room.

Review 16:Position of hotel was great with bus stops in both directions within 20 meters of hotel. Beach outside both private and public. Terraced area for breakfast was superb and we came up here for odd pre dinner drink too. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Review 17:Ordinary bed and pillows

Review 18:Fantastic home cooked breakfast on the terrace. Beautiful Terrace overlooking the sea. Staff who were very helpful and knowledgable about local area and facilities.

Review 19:Location is perfect! Just a couple of steps away from the beach and also the bus station. A lot of cafés, restaurants around. You can swim and you can also visit some other destinations by bus, like Taormina, Catania... Breakfast is excellent, the room was very clean and comfy. Above everything the staff is perfect. The village Giardini Naxos is also very nice to walk around. Overall it was a perfect decision to stay in Hotel Palladio. Thank you!!

Review 20:the town itself is a little shabby and the beach near the hotel is quite small but there is a good beach within 10 mins walk.

Review 21:really friendly and helpful staff. lovely open air buffet breakfasts with great cappuccino, and early evening drinks on the balcony were a treat.

Review 22:Our room was above reception so very noisy late into the night and early morning. Plus the church bells start from 7am so no lie in!

Review 23:Each room is different and unique, lots of beautiful antique furniture, lovely staff, amazing snacks with refreshing Prosecco!

Review 24:Our bathroom and room may need a bit of redecoration but nothing major.

Review 25:Wonderful Hotel in perfect location. The staff was amazing. Girls in the reception helped us with everything we asked, they helped to book excursions to Etna, Alcantara Gorges and etc. The food in the restaurant is really nice as well. Breakfast with amazing view was more that we could asked for. The location is perfect. Its just next to the bus station that takes you to All the bigger towns around in the area. Restaurants are just few minutes away and the beach as well (privat or free).

Review 26:The Esso sgn right outside our bedroom balcony.

Review 27:Really helpful staff!

Review 28:Bad beds, heavy traffic

Review 29:Clean room, nice staff

Review 30:nothing

Review 31:cute and clean, spacious attic

Review 32:Exceptional willingness to assist and serve

Review 33:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location for visits to Taormina without the hussle of staying in a touristcly crowded town.

Review 34:Food at dinner, not the best! Good for drink and appetizer...not best meal.

Review 35:Location and room decor.

Review 36:All the staff were excellent, very helpful.

Review 37:The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious ,served on the terrace overlooking the sea.

Review 38:Bathroom drain smells - particularly in the morning

Review 39:Friendly staff, dining room terrace, comfortable bed

Review 40:Breakfast was amazing as well as food at lunch. Fantastic view from the terrace. Staff was helpful and kind. Would definitely recommand!

Review 41:IF you are worried by traffic noise, ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floors.

Review 42:Everything - very friendly, very convenient, lovely people, great food.

Review 43:...the restaurant staff were well intentioned but disorganised, and overbearing. More than once they exausted my patience. As well the breakfast buffet and tables lacked maintenance. With a properly trained team this chef could achieve serious culinary heights. BTW I am a restaurant professional with over 25 years of experience in Italian food.

Review 44:The chef is a terrific cook, and her dedication to quality and local producers is outstanding, however...

Review 45:there was no swimmingpool the rooms are a bit over aged no fridge on the room very loud the rooms next door

Review 46:the breakfast room was great . But to much sweet food at the breakfast No warm food or you had to ask for it !

Review 47:That we had to continue our travels and leave this great place with great staff.

Review 48:Even before we arrived, Antonela, the receptionist send me an e mail with directions. This is the best service we have received in any hotel in Italy. She even went outside to stop traffic and help us park right in front. She speaks great English, always pleasant and helpful. We splurged for an ocean view room and are so glad we did, We listened to the ocean all night. The rooms were immaculate. In the morning breakfast is served in a terrace facing the ocean. Fresh squeezed orange juice is available and delicious! We ate hard boiled eggs and a big selection of hams and cheeses. So good! Fresh cappuchino coffee and homemade cakes. The other receptionist in the morning was just as sweet as Antonela, she also spoke great English. When we return to Sicily....this is where we will stay. Highly recommend.

Review 49:Parking was very tricky. This will almost certainly apply to all hotels in Giardini-Naxos though.

Review 50:The food was amazing and affordable. Both breakfast and dinner was outstanding with local and fresh ingredients. Usually we don't eat at the hotel restaurant, but at Palladio this is recommendable. The surroundings also superb for enjoying your meal - a rooftop terrace with a splendid view of the sea. Further the service in general was really good.

Review 51:All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous, sunny and clean but the views from our balcony and the sun terrace were amazing.....we will most definately go and stay there again.

Review 52:It was a bit noisy being on the main road with petrol pump right in front.

Review 53:It was in the City centre close to everything. the hotel had character and we were given an upgrade with a sea view because of my husband's birthday. they also prepared an incredible feast to celebrate his birthday with champagne and cake with no extra cost. The staff was very cordial and friendly. The dinner they prepared was so fresh and tasty. it was difficult to eat the breakfast the next day after the massive and tasty dinner. It was inexpensive for the amount of food and the quality of the food. The sea view was lovely.

Review 54:Our room was next to the lift which we could hear. The toilet seat was cracked and the wardrobe smelt of old the hangers were all odd they look like the ones you get from the cleaners

Review 55:Buffett breakfast was good

Review 56:The only criticism I have was simply because we were there out of season. On several days the breakfast was a little limited and repetitive, but I appreciate that it would be difficult to create a magnificent spread when we were the only guests at times. What was there was fresh and delicious. My low score for facilities is based on the fact that neither the bar or restaurant were open, however I had known that when I booked.

Review 57:The staff were excellent-very courteous and helpful. I had mentioned that our visit was for a special birthday and we were delighted to find our room up-graded. The hotel was spotlessly clean.

Review 58:Extremely helpful and pleasant staff who lent us a map and also umbrella. Wonderful to sit on balcony overlooking the sea. Excellent and interesting Sicilian cuisine breakfast

Review 59:1) Gas station under the balcony, 2) No tennis court though it's declared by Booking.com

Review 60:1) Excellent staff and cuisine, 2) Big comfortable room, 3) Clean and convenient beaches

Review 61:We were asked to pay local tax of €2 per day at the end of our stay. This was news to us as we were not informed when we checked in. Lucky we had enough money on us.

Review 62:We stayed at this hotel for one week to relax on the beach after touring Europe for two weeks. The hotel photos on the website matched reality. Very clean, great location, friendly and helpful staff. After our Europe tour we needed the laundry service. The hotel offered to do our laundry for free and even had our ironing done as well. This was a relief for us and made our stay more enjoyable by not having to worry about dirty laundry. The breakfast was as good as what other reviewers had said. It was actually the best breakfast we had in Europe. The home made jams, biscuits and cakes were amazing. The fig jam was the best. Really enjoyed having breakfast up on the terrace with a beautiful view each morning. We would like to thank all the staff at hotel Palladio who went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. We'll be back!!!

Review 63:The nicest people you ever want to meet, warm and kind always looking to do more for you. Break fest was great and dinner as well. Can't say enough about this place and the staff.

Review 64:The helpfulness of staff, the attempt to communicate with us in English. The tours they recommended were excellent. Breakfast was delicious up on the top balcony with great views

Review 65:Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room with splendid views. Delicious meal in roof terrace overlooking the sea. Easy access to Taormina (bus stop right outside hotel)

Review 66:On arrival at reception we were greeted with a big smile and a very warm welcome. This continued throughout our stay from all the staff. Helpful, attentive, and cheerful. They arranged a tour of Mt Etna with Truvatura which was the most amazing day and comes highly recommended. Breakfast was a feast of local, fresh and tasty treats devoured on a terrace overlooking the bay. Our room was kept spotlessly clean and the hotel decor was amazing incorporating antique furniture into a brightly coloured interior. The hotel is located just across the street from the beach and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants and only a bus ride to Taormina. If you stay here you can experience Sicilian community life in this small town. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and thank them for a wonderful holiday.

Review 67:Our room was small. The road is noisy. Our friends were late for breakfast and they would not agree with our opinion of the best breakfast in Sicily.

Review 68:Charming receptionist. Central location. Stunning breakfast on beautiful terrace. Oozed character.

Review 69:I left this hotel one week ago and I am still dreaming .... what a worm room sea view, deliciouse buffet breakfast served on a beautifull terrace that offer an inimaginable show of the sea that "lays at feets " of the hotel .I can"t express by words how lovely staff!!! A real treat, as was the delicious food served at dinner time up on the roof-top dining area. Fabulous. The staff were wonderful as well. Bed comfortable and rooms clean.

Review 76:Excellent staff Spacious room with city view Good food Wi fi access in room

Review 77:Bathroom was small and shower was very tight. Could use AN update. Everything else was great! Location perfect for seeing Taormina! Bus stop right across the street! Food superb!

Review 78:Cityside room was small and noisy. Bed was uncomfortable with unstable headboard

Review 79:Friendly and helpful staff. Location and restaurant were excellent. Rooftop terrace and dining areas overlooking water were very pleasant. Flexibility to cater for diet needs was very good and restaurant staff were outstanding . We were fortunate to be able to park opposite hotel on beachfront .

Review 80:A bit too noisy as we could hear noise from the kitchen every morning. Also there were a cockroach in our room which was a bit of put off.

Review 81:Excellent friendly and helpful staff, nice ros, good organic and fresh breakfast.

Review 82:Breakfast could extend a little later and a little butter provided wouldbe welcome. Better quality and uniform clothes hangers.
