Reviews for Hotel Villa Linda
Review 1:WiFi worked acceptable only in a lobby.
Review 2:Located near a beach and in a short distance from bus station. Good view (from some rooms). Good breakfast. There are food store and a lot of restorants just near the hotel.
Review 3:although specifcally instructred to wake me up...the front desk simply ignored...barely made to airport...and as if that was not enough...during a 4 am checkout the frontdesk guy asked for 2 euros for water while I was rushing to make it to the airport...totally sicilian attitude...
Review 4:The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Our room had a great view and a good balcony. Very central to transport and amenities and close to the beach.
Review 5:Those who are super picky or cleanly will find the hotel has "old building" problems (kitchen was spotless though!)..and everything worked (yes, inc. AC).
Review 6:Staff was great...super friendly and helpful. Great alternative if you have an event at the Hilton but not a "Hilton budget" while also having standards too high for the real budget places.
Review 7:- Checkout was very chaotic but nothing really bad - Very average breakfast. Tasty but boring if you stay longer than 2 days - Seaview means on the side of the sea rather, but the hotel is a bit further away from the sea, so it is a bit stretched
Review 8:- friendly service, nice welcome - good air conditioning - nice cute balcony - great private parking nearby
Review 9:The first night the toilet was running! But they did fix it the next day promptly, so all was good!
Review 10:Especially the receptionist in the morning was helpful and very knowledgable! The owner was friendly and present most of the day! So was his Dad, that was still supervising and giving his Son his five cents, which I found very cute! The Hotel was apparently named after his wife Linda! I also liked the fact that they had lunch with their staff at the same table every day!
Review 11:No negative experiences. While the location was good for us some people might prefer to be in Taormina itself although there is a good bus link there.
Review 12:A small-scale hotel; friendly, helpful staff; pleasant room with balcony overlooking the water and Mt Etna.
Review 13:Breakfast is good but it is boring to eat eggs and cereals for 10 days.
Review 14:Location is close to the beach, our room was very clean, they clean it every day.Staff was nice.
Review 15:The carpet outside our room in the hallway was a little stained - I was a bit alarmed by this on arrival. Thankfully the room was clean and nicely presented. Also the outer glass windows in the lift were very dirty - I appriecate it most be difficult to keep it clean as access might be a problem but it is a shame as this would be a lovely feature in the hotel if it were kept clean.
Review 16:This hotel is facing a local beach - very handy for swimming and relaxing. There is a local bus for 1.80 euro around the corner which will take you to Taormina - very handy. It is a 10/12 min walk to local promenade. We found the guy working reception when we arrived to be very friendly and helpful. Also we were delighted to be able to observe Mount Etna erupt from our balcony at night - very special. Really enjoyed breakfast - hot breakfast/ continental breakfast/ yummy cakes!
Review 17:Mattress was so hard and uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep. Took expensive taxi to reach place initially, got a less expensive bus on return.
Review 18:Location to beach was close, but far from Taormina train station, needed a taxi to get there. Breakfast was plentiful with scrambled eggs. Restaurant was just a short distance for dinner. Staff at desk was helpful and welcoming.
Review 19:Minor annoyance only: dodgy wi-fi in room
Review 20:Great staff, very helpful. Very clean. Excellent location. Good breakfast. Wonderful sea view. Fine value. I'll be back.
Review 21:Ants in the bedroom. AC only worked sometimes, it almost seemed like there was some sort of timer. One night i refused to come on even though the controller was working. It was hot and we were forced to leave the window unlocked and open which we really did not like. The night staff didn't care and didn't even try to help. There was another man at the front desk which I forgot his name but he was generally uninterested and very unhelpful with questions and concerns (not Alex). The mini fridge barely kept anything cool at all. The owners (an elderly couple) hang around the property all day and evening and are rude and do not even try to be welcoming
Review 22:We were extremely pleased with the one host at the front desk named Alex (Allessandro in Italian) He was very nice and helpful and gave us great recommendations around the area. He was probably the only really good thing about this hotel. Breakfast was ok nothing too special but there was a decent variety at least.
Review 23:The wifi wasnt great in my room, but it wasnt a problem for me and i could use it downstairs anyway
Review 24:The staff, very friendly and helpful

Review 35:I wouldn't say we didn't like anything. Shower could have been bigger but it wasn't an issue. No real negatives
Review 36:Excellent location. Very close to beach and bus station for trips to Taormina. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast that was included was good. Room small but comfy with great view of ocean.
Review 37:The Buffet Breadfast was ok but we stayed at the hotel for seven days and it was the same items every day. A little variation would improve the service.
Review 38:The location was perfect. Very near to the beach and to the bus terminal. All the Staff especially at the Reception area were all helpful and very good english speaking. Whenever we needed anything or any information they were always eager to help promptly.
Review 39:The clearing personnel several times entered the room when we werehaving a rest at about 2 P.M. (daytime), taking into account that wewere out of the room till 1 P.m and they had time to do the cleaning. The breakfast is every day the same, however, we had a chance to havebreakfast event at 5.30 A.M. before departure!
Review 40:We've stayed at the hotel for 8 nights.Hotel staff was very helpfulland helped to solve al the problems we hd with transfer andexcurcions. The hotel is located next to the beach. We had a big roomwith balcony with two sunbeds and a nice table. The Room needs some newfurniture, however, the bed was comfortable and there was a hair drier, safe and a fridge.
