Review 1：Nothing negative at all.
Review 2：Fantastic small appartment complex with beautiful seaview from most of the appartments. Very friendly staff. Spacious appartment with good quality beds. Only a hundred metres to the Gorge Boardwalk, a lovely trail were you can spot dolphins, seaturtles, kangaroos and many birds.
Review 3：Mobile reception is poor and can't get wifi in the units.

Review 9：No air-conditioning, unpleasant humidity and sticky floor during summer stay. Very bad telecommunications signal and 3G coverage, nothing at all actually when inside our room (garden floor), SOS only.

Review 11：We had a lovely stay at Samarinda Jewel. Staff was very accommodating and the apartment we stayed in (Unit 1 downstairs) was spotless. Lovely pool and barbecue area. Just a short walk to shops and walking tracks.
Review 12：Bed was a little sunken, and privacy in the bathroom was affected by the positioning of the windows below the carpark. Wasn't sure about use of the laundry as it was part of another bathroom that was closed off with a warning about a possible cleaning fee.

Review 14：Firstly the location, very quiet and peaceful, I know it was during the week and it can get busy on weekends, but it was very enjoyable. we had a lovely view of the beach and the sound of the surf was magnificent. The rooms were great, decorated with surfing themes and were well equiped. All in all, very enjoyable.
Review 15：We arrived a little early off the barge and Sharon and Peter were happy to give us an early check-in, we also paid a small fee for a late check out. We stayed in Unit15 and the views were incredible. The beds were also the most comfortable we have slept in during our many travel. The hosts could not have been more helpful and we can't rate it highly enough.
Review 16：We were on the ground floor and could hear the people above us walking around in their room. I would suggest a top floor room for more serenity and a better view. No salt and pepper supplied!
Review 17：Very private rooms, very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Large private balcony. Friendly staff. We had a little big of an ocean view from our garden view room which was a pleasant surprise and we also had access to the pool straight from out balcony.
Review 18：Dust found on lamps and skirting board was unacceptable. Poor reception for our own telephones and Wifi. Minimal Wifi options. A note was left on one of the bathrooms advising we would be charged for the use of an additional bathroom (later advised this was an oversight). An additional laminated page was found in one of the drawers advising additional charges for use of supplies. There was no information booklet provided for local services.
Review 19：Great location for whale watching which we could do from the balcony of our apartment. Beds were very comfortable as was the apartment overall. Two rooms were provided with two bathrooms which exceeded expectations.
Review 20：I felt the provisions were stingy- eg only one towel for three days, not enough washing up liquid to last our whole stay. It seemed a little like the owners were struggling to maintain a standard to match what we paid to stay in the apartment.

Review 22：Dirty couches and old kitchen stuff was a bit yucky. We threw the throws from the cupboards over the couches for our entire stay as we didnt want to sit on the couches - throw rugs smelt fresh as if they were just washed thank goodness. Mould in the grout in both bathrooms too was yuck!

Lots of old looking mismatched crockery, cutlery etc. lotsof it with old food on, only one dishwasher sachet supplied. Not themost comfortable of beds, the apartment wasn't to the standard I wasexpecting considering the cost and it being labelled as"Deluxe" on booking.com. Got "upgraded" to threebedroom apartment from one bedroom, but signs on the second bathroomsaying it would cost $70 extra if we wanted to use it despite the factthat the website clearly states that all one bedroom apartments comewith two bathrooms. I mentioned this in person but was told it wouldstill cost $70 if we wanted to use it and that the website was wrong. Iemailed proof from their own website, then they said we could use it.Didn't even really care that much, but felt the way this was handledwas unnecessarily defensive. Window in bedroom had no curtain, no choicebut to wake up at dawn as it was so bright in there. Couldn't useother bedroom unless a $70 surcharge was paid. Building work directlyoutside our door at 8am on the first day, including hammering anddrilling that we weren't informed of. Very small space for parking,might be difficult for larger cars to fit and manoeuvre in and out.Ensure you bring soap / shampoo etc. as only supplied two small barsof soap. Pretty trivial in the scheme of things, but trying to beexhaustive with the feedback here. Bbq is in communal area, not perapartment, could be made clearer. Asked to continue to hire thebinoculars after check out (would have been happy to pay more) as wewere on the island the rest of the day, but were told no. One airconditioning unit in bedroom only, separate fan heater which could beused in main bedroom, but very old and noisy to use. Would be good tohave plug sockets next to the bed to allow you to plug phone chargersinto them.
