Reviews for Hotel Villa Mora

Review 1:Only negative is that the single beds in the twin rooms are extremely narrow and not very comfortable.

Review 2:Hotel of great charm and character close to the sea and amenities of Taormina.Wonderful balcony with sea views up to Taormina and across the sea to Calabria.

Review 3:breakfast is too simple, bread and Croissantswere not fresh.

Review 4:very special place, with old furniture, looks amazing, the stuff waited for for us cause we arrived late. it is on the beach so it is nice, very close to great places to eat and drink. it is very close to Taormina and it is a good value for the money.

Review 5:noise from trains - but very few times on day poor wi-fi

Review 6:The the lady from the reception was great she helped us with everything we need it. The hotel It's very close to the beach.

Review 7:We had 4 flights of stairs to climb with heavy bags. The hotel has no elevator. Decor is old and outdated. Wi-Fi dropped out frequently and was slow.

Review 8:The location was great and the view from the balcony over Giardin-Naxos fantastic. Due to personal reasons we needed to change our booking which was done quickly and reception very helpful. Reception speak English very well and always willing to help.

Review 9:The furniture is really old, although it aims at being fancy. As soon as we arrived, mosquitoes bit us brutally. There should be some nets on the windows as we literally did not dare to open the windows to get fresh air to avoid more flying monsters. In overall, the place is really overpriced, unless you enjoy sleeping in old furniture. The breakfast is German style (the owner is German) and when we paid the owner tossed my card over the counter after I paid.

Review 10:Staff was really friendly and kind, besides the owner. We even heard some loud having sex sounds around 9 pm. :)

Review 11:Breakfast was the same every day. It would be nice to have more variety and availability.Same pieces of watermelon were served a few days in a row as it looked and tasted funny.

Review 12:The location is fantastic to go to lido or a public beach. There are numerous restaurants and tratorias nearby.Excursions could be organised by the hotel receptionist.Friendly staff.

Review 13:Parking a nightmare and very expensive! Bed rock hard and no extra pillows. Air con not adjustible. No fridge to keep water cold when it was so hot outside.

Review 14:Location and staff fantastic

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:Staff are super lovely and really helpful, rooms are large with cute balcony. Everything local is at walking distance and easy to get a bus or hire a scooter if you want to travel up to Taormina etc

Review 17:Giardini Naxos is a lovely relaxed beachside town next to Taormini. It is a tourist town but closer to a typical Italian feeling then Taormini. Easy to walk around, lively at night (in summer) and a great place to wind down. Villa Mora is a charming hotel with pleasant staff and full of a lifetimes collection of art and bric-a-brac. Lovely atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying a beachside break.

Review 18:Lack of seaside view, space of shower

Review 19:Location, stuff friendly and helpful, various kind of interior and exterior things which gives a lovely atmosphere

Review 20:the noise from the trains passing, very poor Internet and the breakfast could have been richer.

Review 21:a beautiful, historical hotel, good location with the walking distance from the beaches and restaurants.

Review 22:Hotel is situated in the center of Giardini. Everything is near - the beach, bus stop, restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean with distinctive atmosphere. I like to return there.

Review 23:Wi-Fi is barely usable, bandwidth is very poor & connection drops often.

Review 24:Pretty good location. There are few small nice beaches nearby (70-100m away). Staff is helpful (w/ booking excursions, explaining how to get around, etc).

Review 25:It would be nice to have a tea and coffee facility available in the room. TV has only 2 stations, one in English and one in German.

Review 26:The hotel has a very convenient location. It is just a short walk away from the beach and all the shops and restaurants. The bus stop is just 5 minutes away too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all the necessary basics and the hotel is very nicely decorated.

Review 27:there was no indication at the time of the booking that the hotel was very far from the train station, and we were not given any advice with regards to shuttle service, etc. Room was very dark (view over a narrow alley) and the en suite was quite small

Review 28:nice building with a hoard of local paintings and ceramics, good basic breakfast with excellent cup of cappuccino & cornetto to go with it, it was very hot outside but the air conditioning in the room did the trick

Review 29:There is nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

Review 30:A very pleasant atmosphere, people were very hospitable, kind, helpful, it was a true pleasure to be there. The hotel itself is very charming, tastefully decorated in Sicilian style. Location is perfect, front row to the sea, center of Giardini Naxos, not too loud though. An incredible place overall. Excellent value for money. Everything was just perfect.

Review 31:Unfortunately we had some ants staying in our room with us. Also, there is no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.

Review 32:Fantastic location and really friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and wifi was free and assessible

Review 33:Due to last minute changes we had to arrive at Catania airport in the middle of the night; we asked for help for transportation late on the day before arriving and we had it - in a half an hour, at a very reasonable price! Thank you, Villa Mora, you are real professionals!

Review 34:Breakfast was so-so, especially the cappucino was miserable (it was poor even by the German standards, and we were in Italy!). It's not the hotel's fault, but we didn't like Naxos at all and would not recommend it - the sea and the beach were very dirty.

Review 35:The hotel was nice and very close to the seashore and promenade. Although we were not getting any light from the window (the street was very very narrow), the room was clean and the bathroom recently (partially) renovated. It also had a great looking lobby - it was really a pity it was closed in the evenings. Also the staff was very helpful.

Review 36:Brilliant location: -2 minutes walk to bus stop: linking Catania airport direct/Taormina and local organised tours -2 minutes walk to sea front ,clean beach -Good choice of restaurants along the sea front A Family run Hotel: -Excellent service from Staff very helpful -Good breakfast Perfect for those not wanting to pay for all the other extras a 4 or 5 star hotel has to offer specially if you are touring all day long I would rate this hotel a 4 star

Review 37:The triple room was a little small for our group of 3 adults but suited are needs just fine. In the future, we would probably book two rooms, but we will definitely stay again!

Review 38:We loved our stay the Villa Mora and would definitely book again! The staff is very friendly and the location is perfect. (Close to transportation, restaurants, the sea.) It was clean and great quality for the price!

Review 52:Good location Design and atmosphere

Review 53:The view!

Review 54:Reception staff great. Easy to find. Away from the madness of Taormina.

Review 55:Great breakfast.

Review 56:- noise from trains (but very quickly:)

Review 57:+ fiendly staff + excellent location (very close to the sea:)

Review 58:Location, view, breakfast, interier

Review 59:The train goes speeding through giardini and could wake the dead

Review 60:50m to the railway tracks

Review 61:30m to the beach

Review 62:Shower is too small. very noisy at night (because of train)

Review 63:Breakfast is good, but everyday is same. Very good location.

Review 64:No room safe Parking was an absolute nightmare !!!! Close to railtracks

Review 65:Close to the seaside. Quiet at night Breakfast to suit all taste

Review 66:Lovely accommodation, we had rooms with balconies which were perfect. Very clean and well decorated. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

Review 67:problems whit the Wi-fi

Review 68:Great location, 50 m from the beach, super nice hosts, lovely room and delicious breakfast.

Review 69:The beds were not too comfortable

Review 70:Good location, friendly staff, the breakfast was good.

Review 71:Toilet door was a little hard to close and open.

Review 72:Great view of the beach from the balcony of the premium room. Excellent help and service at the front desk, they let us borrow their personal iPhone 5 charger when we forgot ours. So sweet and appreciated! The whole hotel was very nicely decorated, It was also very close to everything from the beach to restaurants. The parking for our rental car was a public parking and we always found a spot very close to the hotel. But I imagine that in july and august, it might be very hard to find parking.

Review 73:Really difficult to find parking slot during bank holiday (probably in high season also). Hotel located close to railway trucks - noise of passing trains from time to time.

Review 74:Rooms are clean. Service speaks English fluently and is very helpfull. Awesome breakfast.

Review 75:I stayed at the hotel at the end of September. I received exactly what I expected: nice, small, family run hotel, 5 min. walk from the beach. Many thanks to Anne, Gambacurta and Cettina for their hospitality and friendliness. I definitely will stay their again.

Review 76:Friendly helpful staff, cosy atmosphere, great location. Had a wonderful 6 night stay with easy connections to Catania, Taormina and Messina. Good breakfast with attentive service. Would certainly recommend to friends

Review 77:Typical Sicilian family run hotel.Good breakfast.Close to all amenities. Just a short walk to the beach. Bus to Taormina stops just around the corner.

Review 78:Villa Mora has its own, very special atmosphere, combining beautiful sicilian design, narrow streets and the owners sicilian temperament - attractive and very welcoming! Very good beach in 5 minutes, low prices in supermarket and restaurants, very good public transport opportunities. Recommend room with balcony.

Review 79:The other staff could've spoken better english, but for Sicilians their english was good too.

Review 80:We got more than we hoped for for our money, service was excellent, especially the young lady that worked on evening shifts. She spoke good english and was always super helpful and friendly. Also the hotel was on a good spot, in the middle of the beach of Naxos. We also had a little balcony with ocean view and also the bus stop was very close. Hotel room was clean and good size, a little noisy when motorbikes or trucks passed by under the window, but it didn't bother me and my friend too much.

Review 81:We liked everything! This is one of the best hotels (in my opinion). Wegot a friendly family-like atmosphere, clean room, very good breakfastand the location is perfect for good holidays (the beach is across theroad, plenty of restaurants around, bus stop just 3 min away). There isalso Wi-fi downstairs. We had some problems during our trip, and thehotel staff was always willing to help and they really helped us a lotwith everything we needed. Another great thing: the staff speaks verygood English! Next time we'll definitely stay only in Villa Mora.

Review 82:Nothing,all is great.

Review 83:Very cosy and nice hotel, with great location and friendly and helpfull staff. Interier is in tradition Sicilian style, really unusual and beautiful.

Review 84:Well the only things that i don't like is that there is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs and sometimes difficult to find a parking space as it does not have its on parking

Review 85:At Hotel Villa Mora It has an excellent position just opposite the sea, the staff was very helpful and the rooms although a little bit small were always clean with clean towels breakfast was also good .

Review 86:Not really negative- but WiFi works only in the lobby. However there are plenty of space and comfortable seats there for Internet addicts :)

Review 87:helpful staff, public beach is just across the road, bus stop to Taormina and Catania is in 100m proximity

Review 88:The location of the hotel is in Giardini Naxos but 15 min away ( by bus)Taormina is way more beautiful and romantic town with more sofisticatedcrowd and beautiful beaches like mazzaro and isola bella beach. Thehotel is on à very lousy street so make sure to have ear plugs with youif you want à peacefull sleep. The hotel stuff is not that helpful withdirections and recommendations around the area. The breakfast is verysimple à bit boring.

Review 89:The rooms are clean. The hotel is almost in front of the beach. Thereare à lot of cafe's and restaurants around.

Review 90:They need to improve the quality of their website service

Review 91:The owners, Anne and Nando, are great, very anxious to make your staypleasant. The location is perfect, across the street from the beach.

Review 92:Thin walls and the beach at Giardini Naxos isn't great compared to Taormina

Review 93:Friendly staff and easy walk from the bus stop.

Review 94:Very very cute hotel, nice staff perfect location.

Review 95:Beds not very comfortable. No lift. Breakfast same every day (eggs, crossaints, jogurt, few fruits, coffee)
