Reviews for Hotel Bacco
Review 1:The local bus service/timetable from/outside the hotel is very limiting and occasionally it actually does not stop as it arrives full up. They could try to put on a more regular services during the tourist season from the hotel to the local town centre (Amalfi). Cost of car parking in the town centre is far too costly!
Review 2:Stunning location, great hotel/food/wine and even better staff.
Review 3:Having to take the bus to Amalfi to travel to anywhere else
Review 4:The friendliness of everyone in the hotel The only drawback was the lack of somewhere to walk around in the evenings the roads were too dangerous
Review 5:It's very remote, a car is important. Our room 1st floor next to stair case, all noise from reception and restaurant below, plus any noise from room above carried to our room. (Often restaurant busy to midnight plus). Wifi useless.
Review 6:Excellent restaurant and not overpriced. Free parking. Adequate balcony, plus a communial sun deck. Magic views.
Review 7:It takes quite a long ride from the amalfi road up to the hotel on the mountain
Review 8:The hotel is beatiful with a great vew of the amalfi coast. They have an excelent kitchen! Great place to come back in the evening and enjoy the quite and the beauty after long day travelling around.
Review 9:No fan or working air-conditioning in our room made it uncomfortable to sleep on the warmest nights. Wifi coverage did not extend to our rooms. Restaurant which was very good did not have a changing menu or any specials which was a downside for our length of stay (6 nights).
Review 10:Great location (especially if you have a car) in Furore overlooking the Amalfi coast. Simply furnished rooms but with good views, veranda etc. Good restaurant serving great fish, seafood and pasta dishes. Also had good wine (including wine made by the family). Friendly, pleasant place to stay.
Review 11:Nothing it was perfect, but the location might be a problem for people who do not have car.
Review 12:Excellent food breakfast and dinner, friendly staff, location was great for is as we had a car. Parking is tricky, just remember to back in and you will be OK. It was central to all the other towns around here. Best hotel we have stayed in the month we have been in Italy
Review 13:The wifi gave us a lot of trouble.
Review 14:Fantastic location with an amazing view. Delicious food in the restaurant. Great wine from the local vineyards. Nice rooms with a retro touch. The staff spoke good English. Free parking. Close to Amalfi, Positano and Ravello.
Review 15:Helpful friendly staff who went out of their way to meet special dietary needs, help organise day trips and help with Internet issues.

Review 22:They omitted to tell us that a tour to Pompei we booked through them did not include the entrance fee.
Review 23:Welcoming and helpfull staff, very good breakfast, incredible view,
Review 24:Nothing to dislike at this location.
Review 25:Verry friendly staff. Excelent view. Best values of your money. Basic the same view as Amalfi with normal prices. Excelent food at Hostaria da Bacco. Signiora Cecilia was of great help. Thank you for everything.
Review 26:In the booking page they said that they have laundry service and they didn't. Up to 1 am lots of noise coming from the kitchen. Couldn't sleep. Noise toilet. Price quality not good.
Review 27:the staff speak littel engkush/ our room was very small, the shower as smsll and uncomfortable/
Review 28:the place was great/the dinner in the restorant was nice but littel
Review 29:- very friendly staff - clean and nice room with a view onto the ocean - very good breakfast with ham and cheese - Restaurant associated with the Hotel serves delicious Food - good value for Money in the off-season
Review 30:its quite far from the beach and from Amalfi coast main villages (Positano, Amalfi, et cetera). I think it should be more cheap because of its location. iIts a trade of, you chose to be far but u pay less and its not that less
Review 31:the hotel is very nice. big rooms with a lot of windows and with a nice view. the breakfast its very nice (the food and the space)
Review 32:The hotel is kind of far from the amalfi cost beaches, the buses nearbuy don't keep their schedule.
Review 33:We had a room with awesome sea view, nice breakfast, friendly staff, vrey clean rooms
Review 34:Loads and loads of TV channels but nothing in English which is the same all over Italy it seems. Sometimes you just want to relax at night and watch a bit of telly. Drinking glasses in the room would have been nice and the facility to make a cuppa to watch some telly with as well.
Review 35:We had booked 2 nights at Hotel Bacco but on entering our room and seeing the view we went straight down to reception and booked an extra night. The room was quite plain but very clean and large with the bathroom window looking out to sea also. The staff were very helpful although most had limited English which made it a little difficult to have a conversation. The waiter who served us for dinner on the first night of our stay,a young Indian man, was particularly friendly and helpful. He had very good English and a great sense of humour. He really made our night and reinforced our decision to stay longer. As others have said Hotel Bacco is a little higher up the mountain and so a car makes it easier to get to to the highlights of the Amalfi Coast but the bus comes past the hotel several times a day to take you down the mountain to the town where you can access everything you need. Great restaurant and breakfast. We didn't want to leave and certainly put it on our list of places to return to.
Review 36:Nothing to dislike
Review 37:Fabulous family run hotel in a beautiful setting - you get all the atmosphere and grandeur of the coastal scenery but without the hustle and bustle of Amalfi town. The free hotel parking is worth its weight in gold and the bus connections to Ravello, Positano etc are so good we only used our car once in 7 days. Admittedly the last bus leaves Amalfi at 9pm but we found the hotel restaurant so good we ate there 5 nights out of 7! We loved the fact that it was so popular with the local community - just during our stay there were birthday celebrations and a 1st communion party. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food on the breakfast buffet was always fresh and the fish menu in the restaurant was superb. We particularly loved the fish of the day (in both its sauces) and the cartoccio di pesce (a wonderful assortment of mussels, prawns, squid and white fish cooked in foil and brought steaming to your table). There were lots of little extras; local canapes of fried pasta, a glass of prosecco, apricots in brandy, something different every night. A fabulous place to stay for anyone who enjoys good food and wine and wants to experience the Amalfi Coast from a more rural location.
Review 38:I was annoyed by getting some old food on one night and should have complained at the time but did not.
Review 39:This is a very good place to stay if the weather is good but......
Review 40:Parking' though available was sometimes difficult owing to restaurant guests
Review 41:We stayed three nights. We liked the staff and service. One evening we did not have hot water and when we checked out we were told thet didnt charge for that night! the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast adequate. Letitia the owner was helpful and recommended good restaurants in the area.
Review 42:We choose it because it was one of the few hotels with free parking. It was reasonably priced and we were pleasantly surprised. Although fairly basic it was spotlessly clean and the family who run it, were extremely nice and very helpful. Breakfasts were generous and the food of a good standard and not expensive.
Review 43:The location is fantastic. I loved the views!!! The people and staff were very friendly. They speak very little English but it was easy to make myself understood. There is good parking and in this area that's very important and it's not easy to find. I would recommend this hotel very highly to anyone who wants a pretty and clean place to stay that's reasonably priced.
Review 44:The view from my room and the restaurant was spectacular! The staff were very helpful!
