Review 1：The hotel was in the middle of all abandand buildings. Because of that it was not a pretty site. The bathroom was dark and they tried to right it but they installed a light fixture that also left the room dark. Because of all the abandand buildings it felt like the Bates hotel.

Review 6：The hotel was a pleasant place to relax, especially so due to the large pool and abundant sunbeds. What makes this hotel so special is the owner, Francesco, and his willingness to do anything for his guests. He instills this passion for his hotel in all his staff. He is always on hand to greet you, answer any questions and help in any way possible to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. He is genuinely the nicest man we have ever met! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Review 7：Had odd experiences with staff, such as manager whose manner was a bit overbearing and condescending, thinly veiled behind a veneer of helpfulness. The only other negatives were (1) no hot water for most of the first day we were there, and (2) staff really pushes their own food and services, upselling all the time. eg. We were told we would not find any restaurants open in town on Sunday night but in fact found many and had a lovely time as the area was very lively and full of locals. One more thing: worst coffee I have ever had anywhere, in any country! Truly undrinkable, which is not good in the morning!

Review 8：We enjoyed the cleanliness, security and facilities offered by the hotel, including the pool. Lovely poolside, many areas to sit and relax, and since there are cameras and secure gates everywhere, you feel very safe. Lovely views from balcony, too. Comfortable beds, nice to have breakfast served on premises.

Review 10：We were made to feel like we are the only guests in the hotel. This hotel just did everything right, the staffs work just brilliant every one of them.we love the pool the outdoor dining area and the view of Etna in our room!

Review 11：The location is set amongst lots of derelict buildings and hotels. Not nice at all. The breakfast was served at 7.30 but not replenished so if you went after 8am you got cold coffee, watered down juice, cereal with no milk and a maybe a croissant.

Review 17：the breakfast was not satisfying especially the coffee was awful.The room was too noisy and its view was so bad that you didn't want to get out of the room even for a little while.It was located behind the bars of the fence of the hotel and it was just like a prison.

Review 18：One could say location but there are taxis and a bus. We hired a car and still managed to visit Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvuis and Caserta.

Review 19：My family and I had a wonderful time. The staff are VERY helpful especially the manager Francesco who is always there to help as well as Francesca and Carlo. They were truly like a family. The rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. We had dinner there every evening and it was very nice! My wife and I had our birthdays and we were made to feel very special. We were genuinely sad to leave and would definitely recommend this.

Review 20：Excellent hotel, confortable, clean, with domestic atmosphere, tasty food, extraordinary location to visit Pompei, Vesuvio, Ercolano, Sorrento, Amalfi coast and Capri which can be easily organized by hotel staff, friendly, lovely people whose job is not just a job but passion and everything they do is done with all their hear and soul. I would reccomend this hotel to everyone, young people looking for interessting places to see, couples with children, even older people looking for a pleasent place to relax. I hope to stay there even next year!

Review 21：Surrounding derelict buildings spoiled the views. In a very run down area,dog fouling a major problem in Castellammare. Whole area is dirty, untidy,litter everywhere and smells from waste thrown into streams etc.

Review 36：Way from city center to the hotel was driving me crazy. It's about 1,1km to the city center(where shops/bars start) and 2km to shore line. Bus in front of the hotel - but couldn't figure out it's schedule, and where in the city it can be found to bring me back. Taxi 10 euro. From other hand being uphill brings amazing view...

Review 37：Hotel is located on the hill, it has beautiful panoramic view on Vesuvius, bay and mountains around. If stuff can do anything for you - they will. Excellent service, very clean, good value of money. I would definitely recommend it.

Review 38：We had a poor meal the night we stayed but in fairness the main chef was absent and CEO offered effusive apologies & a meal on the house. Initial fears raised by the Stasi like car park & empty hotel removed on seeing H. Europa.

Review 40：We loved Hotel Europa! So helpful, so friendly nothing was too much trouble for Francesco and his team. The hotel is immaculate, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and as the weather was good whilst we were there we were able to eat outdoors. the pool was a lovely bonus which we enjoyed for a beautiful afternoon of sunbathing and swimming. I cannot wait to go back and know it will be even better by then.

Review 41：Castellammare is very run down area... A port town. If you don't have a car I would not recommend this hotel or traveling alone... Too far away from anything. Our booking was for a mountain view and was given a view of a hotel in front which is empty... As are all the hotels surrounding it. Bad location.

Review 46：Very good service, the manager cares a lot for thier customers, we actually reserved a standard room mountain view and got an upgrade for a sea Vesuvian view, it was great. It has free secure parking which is good since we were driving to get to Pompey. It has free wifi to keep in contact with your love ones and post your favorite pictures taken during the day.

Review 48：Very friendly staff ( Hello Vittorio); nice rooms with a balcony and a view to the Vesuv! There is also a pool where I spent some relaxed days! If you dont have a car and come by train, I would advice to take a Taxi! The Hotel is up on a hill and per pedes its very exhausting to get there! The town itself is a good place to stay, if you like to be amoung italians! The most tourists are in Sorrento....

Review 49：Not location, not location, not location. Since the major shutdown ofmany of thermal springs, this hotel is a solid 20 minute uphill walkfrom the Circumvesuviana train up very dark, unlighted and very narrowroads. Taxis try to clip u 10 e for a five minute ride.

Air Conditioning and Internet that work as promised (Rare in europe!!)Adequate breakfast includes,mediocre (for europe) coffee but abundant for those who need caffeine. Probably the best value and location in all of Campania. Easy to achieve your travel dreams from Erkolano to Amalfi to Sorrento to Capri all on day trips.
