Reviews for Hotel Edelweiss

Review 1:Very convenient for the slopes, excellent ski storage room. Quality and quantity of meals were superb. The cakes and fresh bakery was extremely good.

Review 2:The Edelweiss staff are exceptional, from the first greeting at checkin until the final departure. Cheerful, relevant, and professional service prevailed through every facet of our stay. These people know the ski mountain very well and shared the local knowledge to help us maximize our ski potential. Convenient ski/board rentals are available across the street from friendly, accommodating, and competent staff. The ski-in, ski-out location at Edelweiss is PERFECTLY SITUATED. The charming decor and classic Alpine construction of the lodge adds to the Austrian experience. Dining is sublime with superb attention to detail by all restaurant staff and a delectable, multi-course cuisine. A large, convenient, ski room is provided for equipment management (storage, drying, easy-access).

Review 3:2 single beds as a king size which was not comfortable at all along with normal mattresses. Dinner and snacks were below average, breakfast was average, nothing special. We ended up eating in other hotels. Indoors pool was cold which is contrary to what is expected in such locations.. And nude sauna.. No thank you!!!!

Review 4:Nice rooms and beautiful view

Review 5:Bad wifi conection, hotel is ageing and owners dont invest that much in to repares in old part of the building. Food is one day good and next day average. At the dinner thay charge us for non botled watter.

Review 6:Nice location, I was there second time. Next time I propably chose from other newer hotels in Hochsolden for the same price or cheaper.

Review 7:The pillows were not very comfortabl

Review 8:The staff, location and facilities.

Review 9:Ski area vast

Review 10:Fantastic Family welcome Mrs Fender Beautiful Host Do not miss this Edelweiss one in a Thousand in Austria

Review 11:wifi

Review 12:Sebastian

Review 13:Low temperature in room in the night!

Review 14:Possition, hotel, staff, swimming pool...

Review 15:Only that you are reliant on the hotels for restaurants and bars in the evening. No other entertainment here in Hoch Solden and taxi trips can be expensive to Solden at night if you need a bit of variety.

Review 16:The hotel is cosy, my second time there and the family Fendor are lovely people. The ski in ski out is great although the slope gets very slushy in March near the ski lift. This was due to the incrediable beautiful weather and warm sun. The higher slopes were amazing powder. Going back next year!

Review 17:Pillows were terrible which meant for restless sleeping. While there was some understanding of my wife's dietary needs (Coeliac disease) unfortunately this wasn't completely understood within the kitchen as she suffered from gluten poisoning during our stay.

Review 18:Position, position, position. Car safe undercover, meals and buffet were fantastic. Staff (particularly Julia) were always friendly and accommodating. The pool and sauna sections were beautiful and unexpected. Room was of a good size with lovely balcony right on the snow and great bathroom facilities with huge bathtub.

Review 19:Having to take our clothes off in the sauna! The very slow chairlift near the hotel linking to the main ski area.

Review 20:The friendly staff, great food, nice room and excellent spa area

Review 21:We found the resort rather cut off from everything. There was nosupermarket or general shops only two ski shops. Although we were theonly two english people in the small village it was great as everyonespoke english. The downfall was that in order to get to Solden fromHochsolden, there was a very limited shuttle service to Solden the maintown. Most visitors to Hochsolden are either from Germany, Austria orother europeans who drive. In fact most people we met had driven there. We took a day trip to Solen which by the shuttle bus was only about 25minutes down the mountains. The town of Solden was very different andseemed to be aimed more towards younger people and snow boarders. Soldenseems very lively for apres ski, bars and even go go type bars, just notour scene, to old for all that. Also Solden itself means alot of walkingto the various gondola stations at either end of the town. Definitelyfor the young and fit.

Review 22:Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. It was our mistake as wehad planned to stay at a hotel with the same name but it was inObergurgl, some 45 minutes away. When booking we did not realise therewere so many hotels with this name. It was quite a shock to discover onarrival that we were in the wrong resort and the wrong hotel we hadoriginally planned. However, we went to Obergurgl the next day andalthough the hotel was better, the resort was mainly english and veryfish and chips. We were very happy to go back to our hotel atHochsolden. The remainder of our stay was lovely. Although there is notreally any entertainment and no restaurants outside of the main 4 or 5hotels, the food was always excellent and service extremely good. Theski slopes and snow condition was the best I have ever experienced. I amalready planning a return to Hochsolden although probably not to thesame hotel. Some of the other hotels were more modern and a little bitmore alive.

Review 23:Distance to apres ski

Review 24:Excellent location, Ski inn/out. Gourmet dinner every evening.

Review 25:Big swimming pool, very clean rooms, situated on the slope

Review 26:Poor bath room, no shampoon, body lotion, condicioner.

Review 27:Very good food, kind waiters , very good massage.
