Reviews for Tullio Hotel

Review 1:We loved this hotel! Great position by the side of the lake. We could see the breathtaking views from our sliding doors! Great for walking or jogging by the lake. Beautiful pool, wellness facilities, gardens. The decor was fresh .modern and very clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb, healthy and wholesome and top quality. Highly recommend a visit both in or out of season.

Review 2:Nothing

Review 3:An exceptionally clean, modern hotel where we were made very welcome by the family who run it. It has lovely views over the lake and mountains and access right onto the lake side.

Review 4:Location slightly out of town but close enough for a 15 minute walk to Gravedonna center. Quiet, beautiful view of lake. This is a modern, hotel that is efficiently managed by a family that is very concerned about the comfort of its guests. A very good breakfast, beautiful pool and surroundings, clean and comfortable rooms with all amenities.

Review 5:If I'm being ultra critical I would say the Internet needs sorting but considering where the hotel is how can you really complain about that?

Review 6:location, owners lovely, facilities awesome for a 3 star!, cleanliness, views, spacious bedroom, modern bathroom, the best nights sleep I've had in about 20yrs!, followed by an amazing breakfast, when I had to leave at 7am they prepared me a basket! Fantastic owners and what a great hotel for only 2.5yrs old!

Review 7:Location was difficult to find via Navigator, but was able to follow plenty of signs on the road. Look out for them.

Review 8:Very friendly, clean, nice breakfast and great location.

Review 9:A restaurant would have made this hotel even better. Having to walk into the village to eat at night could be a drawback.

Review 10:Loved the room and bathroom - well-equipped and had tea-making facilities- a plus for Italian hotels! Public rooms beautifully decorated and welcoming, excellent buffet breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful swimming pool and excellent parking. Quiet location right on the lakeside.

Review 11:Everything was perfect.

Review 12:Beautiful, well situated right on the lake side, welcoming and comfortable. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. Each and every one of the hosts was friendly and full of information and good recommendations about where to go and what to do, where to eat and what is the best way to reach places. Breakfast was generous with great selection and beautifully set, and could be eaten on the terrace overlooking the pool and the lake. Our room was beautiful and spacious overlooking the lake and was kept meticulously clean. A perfect place to stay.

Review 13:Liked the atmosphere and feel of the hotel. It's in an excellent location and very well kept. Everybody very helpful & attentive. Hope to return next year.

Review 14:Wonderful staff at a beautiful hotel. The views are stunning!! They did everything they could to make our stay as perfect as possible. Best showers ever and great breakfast selection.

Review 15:Stylish and modern family hotel, very friendly staff (all family managed), relaxed atmosphere, a lot of space around and a big spacious terrace with the room, deck chairs, a lovely pool area, still quiet and a short walk into the little village (not very touristy). We enjoyed it a lot and will come back

Review 16:The Hotel Owner was most disappointing he had Zero customer services,We were a party of 10 celebrating my 50th birthday, so in all we had 5 rooms booked for 3 nights. He failed to notice that I had reserved 2 rooms booked for myself & my friends so upon our arrival I was told he didn't have a room available for my friends & told me the would have to stay in a B&B up the road but they could use his facilities & hopefully he would get a cancellation which thankfully he did for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there for but the hole time we had no apology!!! Another friend was arriving the night before us so they called the Hotel a week before their arrival date to say they were on a late evening flight & would be arriving at Hotel around 10pm but their flight was delayed so my friends called the hotel to let them know that they wouldn't arrive till midnight owner then told them that the hotel would be closed & they would have to find somewhere else to stay for the night (very upsetting!!!)

Review 17:We like the style of the Hotel very modern, Fresh looking, Swimming Pool was lovely, Location & views were amazing.

Review 18:The swimming pool could have been a little cleaner - not bad, but not pristine.

Review 19:Very good location for short walk to centre of Gravedona. Staff very polite and friendly. Room was very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice.

Review 20:0.4 mile walk to nearest Resturant and the wifi wasn't the quickest

Review 21:Clean, modern hotel with excellent staff, free parking and inclusive breakfast that was excellent.

Review 22:The owner needs to go on a customer service course to learn how to be a bit more courteous with his guests

Review 23:The hotel is very new, so in great condition offering all mod cons. Set In a lovely quite location.

Review 24:It was perfect - no complaints

Review 25:Wonderful modern feeling. Great pool with lovely views of the lake and mountains. Accommodating staff, nothing was ever a problem, advised well on what to do and where to go in the area. Lovely spa facilities, I would definitely recommend this place!

Review 26:We had a fantastic 3 night stay, child free for a much needed break. We found the whole stay fantastic, the hotel was beautiful inside and out. The setting was perfect and the staff friendly and welcoming. It was a nice fairly flat 20 min walk to the village centre. Where there were a few bars, restaurants and gallaterias. Although we didn't have our kids with us, it seemed ideal for families too, in both the area and hotel. The rooms are quiet and very spacious and have a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Really can't fault our stay and sincerely hope we can make it back again soon.

Review 27:swimming pool pump creat terrible noise all night long handicapped facility in the room makes us very uncomfortable

Review 28:Wonderful breakfest, the best i even seen

Review 29:just about everything: nice, clean rooms, ours had a little terrace by the pool. The poolarea is just very relaxing, and is next to the lake. It's only a short walk (about 5 or 10 minutes) to the town for dinner at night. You can also get a snack or a pizza/pasta/salad in the hotel. It was a perfect little getaway and we would love to go back someday (and stay a bit longer.

Review 30:Nothing to dislike.

Review 31:Great position overlooking the lake, with pool and well maintained gardens and building. Modern and clean throughout. Superb breakfast.

Review 32:Portrayed on line as a lakeside resort. It's more of a family owned style motel. They do not have a restaurant but have limited selection of pre made pastas and pizzas that they warm up. No real "spa". Just a steam room and jacuzzi. No opportunity for massage, etc. all activities related to the lake are provided by I dependent vendors.

Review 33:Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included. And while a hot breakfast was not offered, it was fresh and clean with tradion salume e formaggi and fresh fruits and pastries.

Review 34:Gravedona is a quieter area at the northern end of lake Como. May not suit if you want a buzzer holiday.

Review 35:The location next to the lake was outstanding with views from the rooms extraordinary. The breakfast was exceptional and the facilities with a good sized pool made it a great place to stay in summer.

Review 36:There is not much choice for dinner. We ended up eating in the same restaurant for three nights but you can get the boat to como and stay there for the day if you wish.

Review 37:Lovely relaxing hotel. View from our balcony was amazing. The pool is really well looked after and very clean.

Review 38:Everything from start to finish was just perfect! My only regret was that I wasn't there for long enough. Staff at check-in were just brilliant and spoke perfect English. Very smiley and welcoming (which is what you want after a 6hr drive!). The rooms are beautiful! Big, spacious, modern, very clean rooms. The bathroom has a big walk-in shower with Dove products. The complimentary bikes are a great offering and allows you to explore Lake Como and the surrounding towns, so if you get the opportunity then do make use of them. They were good at giving dinner recommendations (and making the reservation for you) and giving a detailed map showing how to get there. The nearby town is easy to reach by foot (15-20min walk). Breakfast in the morning was good - nice selection of cereals, fruit, meats, cheese, pastries and yoghurts. The car park is part of the hotel and is great. Wifi could be better, but i've never been to a hotel that has brilliant wifi anway. All in all, this place exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended!

Review 39:Gravedona is quiet and peaceful if you are seeking a restful holiday but is a long way from the other resorts and any good bars or restaurants. We had a long drive through many tunnels to be able to visit Como, Bellagio etc.

Review 40:The hotel was gorgeous, with the most amazing breakfast spread. Our modern, clean and comfortable room overlooked the lake with fantastic views of the mountains. The setting was quiet and peaceful.

Review 41:The staff was very friendly and helpful in telling us about places to go and things to do around the area. An amazing view from the hotel with the walking trail right out in front. If we ar ever in that area again, we will definitely go back.

Review 42:We wanted somewhere to relax after several hectic days in Venice and this hotel was perfect. Modern facilities, pool and quiet lawn area beside the lake to sun or enjoy a drink in the evening, and great breakfast. Bikes available for ride along the lake shore. One of the best hotels we've stayed at in Europe. Located near a sleepy village with a couple of good restaurants nearby.

Review 43:A lovely welcome from the owners, even though we interrupted their lunch ! They also pointed out a wonderful little restaurant for our evening meal.we were only there for one night, a couple more would have been fantastic!

Review 44:Definitely the best hotel we've had in Italy. The room, the bed, the facilities and the breakfast were all we we could ask for, at a great location - not far from Menaggio, right on the lake shore. But best of all was the staff. Great recommendations on restaurants and places, thank you!

Review 45:The location is in a magnificent setting away from the crowds. The hotel has a good layout with very pleasant common spaces as well as private balconies.

Review 46:Everything deserves top rating. Breakfast is delicious and you can hardly find any of that quality of food in any other Italian hotel, no matter how many stars it has.

Review 47:First day there were a couple running things. And they were not very kind to our kids. They were not that nice to us as well. However the next days, other people were in charge and they were extremely nice.

Review 48:1. Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast - it was yummy!!! 2. The staff was also great, you can tell they do care about the property and the guests. 3.The size and room decor was excellent

Review 49:We paid for a lake room (and on the website, the picture of the room had full view of lake) however the view of our room was not lake view, we had view of neighbours court yard, pool and a tiny bit of lake - for the amount of money, this was extremely extremely disappointing. Also, don't ask the staff too many questions, they become a little unpleasant.

Review 50:The rooms were very nicely decorated.

Review 51:We visited late in the season but I was quite surprised to find they did not have a restaurant and whilst they had a bar it did not appear to be open. It was quite a walk to the town especially at night as the road and footpath path were not well lit.

Review 52:The hotel was very clean and had a lovely location. Our room had panoramic views of the lake and the mountains. The swimming pool looked very inviting and the terraces enabled us to take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings. It was peaceful and ideal for a short break. I believe it was a family run hotel and all the staff were polite and very helpful.

Review 53:The hotel is in a beautiful location with 365 degree views. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice little patio to sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake with a glass of wine. The shower is very spacious. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. There are bikes to borrow to ride along a path on the lake. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip to Lake Como.

Review 54:Althought the showers are excellent and oversized, the water isn't hot, no matter how long you wait it to come.

Review 55:The location by the lake was charming. Perfect for a bike ride in the morning, provided by the hotel. Rooms are spacious and modern. Good breakfast.

Review 56:Would have been nice to have had somewhere to lounge and have a drink in the sauna and jacuzzi area. We were also surprised to walk in and find naked girls in the sauna. A warning would have been helpful!

Review 57:Lovely room with balcony. Beautiful views of lake and mountains. Very welcoming atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Excellent place overall and would certainly recommend it

Review 58:No restaurant so if you want evening meal you have to walk to the town and not much choice there, very remote although on the lake there are no shops nearby in fact there is nothing nearby except a lake! No comparison to Lake Garda! Won't go back unless I'm recovering from an illness as there is nothing to do but relax.

Review 59:Room and breakfast

Review 60:lovely hotel. Only stayed for one night so didn't get to use the pool but it looked great with great views over the lake. The breakfast was fantastic and we used the hotels hire bikes to do a bit of exploring but would not recommend using them on the main road.

Review 61:Rather complacent staff. (Not the cleaners they were brilliant)Think they may have been family members. A smile and a good morning goes a long way!!!!!

Review 62:Clean comfortable hotel located by Como. Good sized room in lovely grounds.

Review 63:Location directly on the lake, fantastic view, quiet and relaxing hotel with great staff. Doesn't do evening meals but it is a 10 min flat walk into Gravedona which has some very good resteraunts. Modern hotel, free parking, liked walking alon the lake side.

Review 64:Thanks so our gps we found this gem at the end of the road. Not theeasiest to find - maybe some more signs may assist future travelers.

Review 65:A family hotel with very friendly staff. This hotel is run by a familywho are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.Sadly we only booked one night.

Review 66:The personal service is to be recommended. We got Great advice On Places to go especially restaurants. The breakfast is to die for. The On premises restaurant Is a highlight. All Round I recommend You will Have a wonderful stay at Tullio.

Review 67:Nice location on the lake Good pool and garden with super sun beds Village is sweet very well maintained and has good choice of restaurants where you can have a great meal for not so much money

Review 68:A bit too much of a resort type of hotel for us but fine for a couple of days. The balconies were not very private.

Review 69:Fantastic swimming pool that stayed open late so ideal to use after a long hike in the mountains. Sauna, steam room and hot tub were great

Review 70:our room was directly over the plant room and the droning from the pumps was not nice - especially as every thing else was so quiet. We would go again but insist on 1st floor room.

Review 71:Everything except the droning from the pool pumps under our room. Views amazing, rooms excellent, very clean - spotless, spectacular location, great décor, almost perfect!

Review 72:Nothing at all - great, relaxing stay. Will definitely be back.

Review 73:What a find. Fabulous new hotel right on the lake side with great, friendly staff. A happy hotel with nice informal atmosphere. Easy walk to shops and restaurants and an easy drive to other visitor attractions. Easy access to the hills to the north also, great for walking and lunch at St Moritz!

Review 74:If you value being in the midst of the most wonderfull nature; sourrounded by the mountains and overlooking the Lake Como - this is the place for you. Owner, Giovanni, had this hotel built 1 1/2 years ago and has put the best features from the various hotels he had been working for beforehand into this very special retreat. The rooms are modern and spacius and the floor to ceiling windows gives you the full benefit of the view. I also really like the fact that he has chosen wooden floors and that every room has either a terrasse or a balcony. The fact that there are only about 20 rooms makes the experience of staying very homy and relaxed. The breakfast is varied and features high quality products; the best hams, different kinds of cheeses, fresh fruit etc. Leave the car at the hotel and go for a bicycle ride along the Lake Como. (The bicycles are avaible free of charge). I could actually go on with my praises - but don't take my word for it - go and visit the Tullio Hotel and see for yourself :-)

Review 75:Wellness centre with jacuzzi Lovely fresh breakfast Really clean, nice furnishings in the rooms and on poolside Stunning lake views Really attentive and friendly management and staff Bikes for hire for pedalling around the area

Review 76:Leaving. Easy to find if you just use their directions on their site; your GPS will just get you lost.

Review 77:Hotel is located right on the lake itself, not even walk to get there. The room had a patio of its own overlooking Lake Como and the mountains. Breakfast was nice and could be eaten outside by the clean, large pool. The terrace was available to all and had amazing views off the surrounding mountains. Rooms were new, large and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and pool towels were provided at no cost when requested. TV's could be programmed for your language. Location is near to town and the lake beach in a rural setting.

Review 78:Excellent hotel, extremely good facilities. Rooms were great, with superb views of lake como. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location to the village of Gravedona was good and a short walk from the hotel. If you are considering this hotel, go for it. You will not be disappointed !

Review 79:The hotel does not have its own restaurant and so you have to walk into town for dinner. I was recommended an eatery that was busy, aggressively average and featured a German lady singing songs from Dirty Dancing. I'm sure the Hotel could do better than this. If they had a restaurant I would give them a 10. As it is it's a 9.

Review 80:Clean, modern, very very friendly, beautiful rooms, good car park and right on the lake. Lovely pool and a stunning setting for breakfast.

Review 81:The location is fantastic with the view lake and just a foot away to go around for a nice walk or bike ride (bikes available at hotel). Spacious rooms having all modern comfort and really appreciated the wooden floor instead of these usual carpets full of allergens!

Review 82:The last few kilometers of the drive to the hotel were on a road so small that we were worried that it was someone's driveway and not a road at all.

Review 83:Hotel rooms and facilities were clean, and modern. Very good breakfast. Direct access to a walking/biking trail around the lake and nearby to a swimming beach. Really nice pool area with great views of Lake Como. Walking distance from restaurants in Gravedona. One of the best hotels on our 3 week trip to Italy.

Review 84:Practically there was nothing to complain about

Review 85:The impeccable cleanliness and good organistion. The excellent breakfast. The patient staff especially with young children. The ever helpful staff.

Review 86:Nothing, maybe leaving.

Review 87:We were a little bit hesitant in booking this location, no one I spoke to had heard of Gravedona, wow that's what make this such a delightful place to visit. We did the day trip to Bellagio and other places on the lake but was wonderful to retreat away from the many tourists to the beautiful Gravedona. The hotel is new, facilities, food, staff, service etc wonderful. Def recommend.

Review 88:Our only problem was the disco noise from the neighboring campsite which made sleeping difficult, but this wasn,t every night, and it was out of the Tullio,s control.

Review 89:The rooms were bright, spacious and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. The owners were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a wonderful balcony that overlooked the pool and the lake. The breakfast was amazing with a huge choice of fruit, meatd and cheeses.

Review 90:No choice for privacy either at the pool or on our balcony. Service was correct but not welcoming. WIFI didn't work on the balcony or at the pool.

Review 91:Great view over the lake and mountains and a nice location right by the beach walk and the area was quiet with no traffic. Excellent breakfast.

Review 92:The room was on the side and had a poor view despite booking saying Lake view, apparently I should have booked a superior room for a full lake view, was disappointed. Didn't like location.

Review 93:Spacious modern room, lovely breakfast

Review 94:We only stayed 1 night so it's hard to judge but the staff were not that friendly or helpful. In other places we have stayed, the staff gave us a little information on the area. Best places to visit & eat etc.

Review 95:The hotel was lovely, set right on the lake. Rooms were spacious and tidy, also had sky tv.

Review 96:Great hotel at a great location if you are looking for a great holiday. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and kept well clean.

Review 97:Bit of a trek into town. About 20 mins

Review 98:Location by the lake Free wifi Tea and coffee making facilities in room Lovely suite well equipped with outside balcony and terrace Free parking

Review 99:Nothing to report.

Review 100:Everything is great. Staff is amazing. Kept kitchen and jacuzzi open for late guests. Very very friendly

Review 101:a bit hard to find, we recommed to contact the hotel before arrivel

Review 102:the design is wonderful

Review 103:fantastic hotel. beautiful location. great facilities

Review 104:Weak internet connection

Review 105:Location, right on the lake with plenty of parking

Review 106:You need to have a car to travel around.

Review 107:Every thing in the Hotel was al most perfect.

Review 108:Absolutely fantastic highly recommended

Review 109:Loved it!

Review 110:Stunning setting on the shore of Lake Como. Our room had a view straight out onto the lake. Clean and functional room. Very friendly staff.

Review 111:Really beautiful place direct to the lake. Wonderful terasse for breakfast. The village is nice with a few good restaurants.

Review 112:everything location

Review 113:Everything!

Review 114:Absolutely beautiful location, friendly staff and lovely local wine.

Review 115:Great stuff, lovely place. Big room with private balcony.
