Reviews for Drumcreehy Country House B&B
Review 1:This was the most welcoming place. The people were so nice and inviting and the breakfast and food were incredible. So comfortable and beautiful even when It was raining in Ireland. wonderful stay.
Review 2:A bit further out from Ballyvaughan than expected - we had to drive in to town for an evening meal as the road was too busy and dark to walk, and had no lighting or pavement. Only really a problem if you want a couple of drinks with your meal
Review 3:Comfortable bed, spacious room, good variety at breakfast, peaceful location, lovely view and a warm welcome
Review 4:It was a pretty B and B! Lots of character. Just outside of town. We enjoyed the rural setting, friendly and helpful Innkeepers, and the breakfast was superb!
Review 5:Not enough pillows for two people in the bed. Pillows very small and thin. Couldn't sleep right with them. I don't understand any Irish B&B in the countryside like this that doesn't have a full Irish breakfast. I mean with sausages, rashers, egg, pudding etc. The breakfast was a buffet type of thing and then a menu but the portions on the menu were tiny. If you're a big guy you're going to be hungry. It's the only thing that really annoyed me. For €95 I want to leave with a decent fry up.
Review 6:The room was very nice. Nice and clean and most things were fine.
Review 7:Only one small issue - blankets were rough.
Review 8:Wonderful staff - even delivered a left-behind article to a tour bus! Incredible breakfasts. Lovely sitting area with coffee, tea, and an honor-system for other drinks.
Review 9:We were very fortunate to have stayed in the separate cottage and it was fantastic, spacious and private. Easy parking and a location away from the village hustle but a hop into town for excellent food choices.
Review 10:Beautiful house, clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee and pastries available complementary, which were very welcome. The breakfast menu choice excellent. Lovely view of the beach and close to the town.
Review 11:Nil
Review 12:Absutely fabulous people running this house. Very knowledgeable and attentive to every detail. On our list a places to return to. The accommodation and breakfast was excellent.
Review 13:Everything was beyond excellent, a wonderful stay, I was just thinking about it today. Fantastic breakfasts and Bernadette is a very kind innkeeper.
Review 14:The breakfast was superb, a buffet table full of homemade delights & a hot choice. Room was spotless & quiet. An excellent choice for a stay in this wonderful corner of Co Clare.
Review 15:Excellent B&B! Everything about it was perfect...comfortable room and bed, beautiful house and furnishings, excellent breakfast, very nice mini-bar with complimentary tea, coffee and cookies, on-site laundry at a reasonable price, great advice from owners on restaurants and things to do, beautiful view and setting. Very delicious breakfast...especially their house muesli and creamed mushrooms on toast!
Review 16:The only thing we didn't like was the fact we were 1 km from the village. The walk was not the problem but the lack of pavement made it unsafe to walk.
Review 17:We liked the whole atmosphere of Drumcreehy House. The staff were marvellous, especially Bernadette. We will be back.
Review 18:Up in the bedrooms-noise really travels from other guests.
Review 19:The breakfast was wonderful and the sitting areas, charming. The hosts were helpful with restaurant suggestions.
Review 20:Lots of comfort, lots of food, help getting wherever I needed (I came by bus from Galway, and was let out at the door of the B&B). Beautiful weekend.
Review 21:Play area could be spruced up a bit.
Review 22:The location and view. The play area. The wonderful shiny clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. The fantastic breakfast.
Review 23:Not a single bad experience
Review 24:Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and very obliging. The breakfast was excellent and the three night stay was a very good choice. Nothing but the highest praise for the whole experience.
Review 25:Nothing to dislike
Review 26:The breakfast was superb, the proprietors friendly and it was quiet. Every detail was accommodated. Cotton buds, a spare toilet roll, body lotion , specialist teas and even Easter eggs .
Review 27:Drumcreehy Lodge is an absolute find for this traveller and her dog! Armin and his family share their positive energy in all aspects of the house. I was made to feel welcome as was my dog, the room was so comfortable and warm and the breakfast was delicious. The attention to detail like proper napkins and a personal Coffee/Tea pot to name but a few was lovely. It was an absolute joy to find a Guest House in Ireland that is progressive in terms of accommodating guests who may have a dog as a companion. I would have gladly stayed longer however will return for sure this year. Top marks to Drumcreehy Lodge.
Review 28:We were only able to stay one night over the Christmas break, but I would definitely go back! This house is lovely and the rooms are large and comfortable. Food is great, staff is so welcoming, recommend!!
Review 29:We never got to meet the wife of the couple who own Drumcreehy House. Would have liked to have met her as well.
Review 30:We were at Drumcreehy house for one night and it was a lovely B&B. Will definitely return if in the area again.
Review 31:The proprietors were beyond cute and accommodating; they were a joy. Everything at Drumcreechy House is everything you'd ever want out of visiting the west of Ireland. Its location was perfect to visit Kinvara, Lisdoonvarna and the Cliffs of Moher.
Review 32:We have stayed at this beautiful country house a few times now and hope to return again. Always a warm friendly welcome for all of their guests and you are made to feel very at home. Also a great location with lovely views of sea and mountains.
Review 33:would have liked kettle in room but opportunity was there to go down and make a drink in lounge
Review 34:all service house catering excellent plenty of tea and coffee and pastries free in lounge
Review 35:We liked the area and enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable room. The breakfast was the best ever and staff were friendly and helpful. The honesty bar worked well and offered us a good choice of drinks.
Review 36:Can't think of a thing. Even the weather was great while we were there.
Review 37:The house is great and the hostess was very welcoming and helpful. The view over the bay at sunset is priceless. Breakfast was gourmet. Plenty of room for a family of four.
Review 38:slippy shower - i fell & landed on the door jam, sharp as a knife - I'm still limping! Maybe a case for non slip mats?
Review 39:very comfortable bed, great facilities - a tea/coffee room & honesty bar. Lovely buffet breakfast.
Review 40:Drumcreehy House was wonderful. The breakfasts were the best we had during our 10-day stay in Ireland. The location is amazing - in the Burren, near Doolin, Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. The owner was helpful and very nice. We did not have children, but this seems a family and dog-friendly place. Our room faced the back so we did not have a view of the water, but a lovely view of the Burren. I would highly recommend this (n fact, I have already) to anyone visiting this area.
Review 41:We realized that they needed cameras in some locations but it was a little less of a friendly feeling.
Review 42:Owners were very helpful with our questions about our daily destinations. They provided tasty breakfasts that were presently thoughtfully.
Review 43:Beautiful home in a nice location across from the bay and just a 5 minute drive to town for food and drink. Owners and staff are very friendly and accomodating
Review 44:A lovely place to stay - lovely people and a beautiful house.
Review 45:We had a great time, we were taken care to ensure we enjoy our stay.
Review 46:Hospitality, friendly, helpful & welcoming people, beautiful location, quiet & nice/tasteful & clean B&B
Review 47:Our room was spacious light and overlooked garden at rear so escaped the road noise... walk to town enjoyable and breakfast great.
Review 48:Best B&B breakfast we have ever had. Lovely house and hosts.
Review 49:Very friendly hosts, great room, excellent breakfast and facilities. A great place!
Review 50:The people
Review 51:We just wish we had booked a longer stay.
Review 52:It is exceptional.
Review 53:Breakfast
Review 54:Very disappointed to find that the room we got had a very strong smell of smoke in it. This really affected our impression of the entire stay.
Review 55:small TV
Review 56:friendly atmosphere superb breakfast soft pillows facilities
Review 57:Nothing
Review 58:Everything was so wonderful and professional.
Review 59:Very well set out throughout. Excellent breakfasts. Helpful suggestions from Bernadette regarding walks.
Review 60:Would have preferred a place closer to village.
Review 61:Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food. Comfortable spacious room with sea view.
Review 62:The setting, the accommodations, the hospitality
Review 63:Farther in time to points of interest along coast.
Review 64:Warm and inviting house, super staff and owners, great breakfasts!
Review 65:Reading Room. Honesty bar & tea and coffee when required. Lovely staff & hosts. Brilliant breakfast.
Review 66:Since the weather was so chilly it would have been nice to have the wood burners lit in the evening.
Review 67:Friendly staff and comfy able surroundings.
Review 68:Nothing.
Review 69:Everything but especially the breakfasts.
Review 70:Nothing!
Review 71:All was superb, the breakfast, staff, location, views and the house itself.
Review 72:I love the tranquillity and simplicity of clare
Review 73:Comfortable, warm room. Excellent breakfast : great choice of dishes. Friendly welcome, great staff.

Review 79:Excellent breakfast, espcially lovely buffet
Review 80:Extremely friendly and informative staff. I would without hesitation, recommend Drumcreehy House to my closest friends.
Review 81:One in our party was unwell and the kindness shown to the both of us was outstanding. Cannot thank them enough.
Review 82:Care of any detail to make people feel comfortable
Review 83:The people were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent !!!
Review 84:Made very welcome by all. Facilities outstanding.
Review 85:Had to drive several miles for restaurants and pubs.
Review 86:The room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was top notch.
Review 87:The whole experience of staying at Drumcreehy House was absolutely the best, from the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms to the extraordinarily wonderful breakfast table, to the honesty bar and really comfortable guests sitting room...Great
Review 88:double bed created from two singles with the mattress margins creating an uncomfortable double ridge down the centre of the bed - an inevitable result of the mattress design.
Review 89:professional enterprise run with a crisp efficiency; breakfast outstanding both for choice and quality of cooking and presentation; Lavender room well-appointed and generally comfortable, however see 'what didn't you like.'
Review 90:The town is tiny and feels deserted. The b&b is about a mile from town, and the roads are only big enough for one car, yet cars go both ways. One is named 'corkscrew hill!'
Review 91:It is in the heart of the burren and a great base for exploring. Most beautiful sunset on the coast I have ever seen. The food in town and at the drumcreehy was excellent.
Review 92:There was nothing I disliked but the location so far out of Ballyvaughan made evening occupation difficult. It wouldn't stop me revisiting however.
Review 93:In every way it was very good, reasonably priced and a lovely place to stay. Standards were very high which added to the experience.
Review 94:I loved everything.
Review 95:We actually stayed in the cottage because my husband could not do the stairs. It was a beautiful house and the cottage was so quaint. We had a wonderful stay and the next morning the owner and guests sang happy birthday to me. How thoughtful.
Review 96:There is an upcharge for squeezed orange juice and special coffees.
Review 97:The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 98:nothing.. I highly recommend this establishment
Review 99:B&B was so beautifully decorated. Breakfast delightful and service was exceptional. Room was sunny with daffodils planted out side in view.
Review 100:Poor lighting - but this seems to be country wide.
Review 101:This is a lovely, accommodating place with friendly faces and fantastic food. The honor bar was a really nice addition to the amenities, too. Wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend Drumcreehy House to friends.
Review 102:It is almost too perfect, that is, the interior design lacks that invitation to "relax here". The same is reflected in the team from top to bottom. It is too business like and that approach tends to compromise the essential warmth that characterises service and welcome.
Review 103:The highest standard and fit out that I have experienced.
Review 104:Lovely bed & breakfast, excellent breakfast, nice view from front of house. The coastal drive from Cliffs of Moher to Ballyvaughan was breathtaking.
Review 105:We couldn't find how to switch on the tv, but not really a problem as we were out most of the time.
Review 106:The hosts, rooms, breakfast and cleanliness were all top quality. Probably the best guesthouse that we have stayed in. Would definitely recommend this to our friends. The Honesty Bar was a very good idea and most welcome.
Review 107:Loved Bernadette who was so helpful in planning the next leg of our trip and in recommending hiking and restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent, room was comfortable and clean, and the house itself is beautiful. We loved the rural setting with grazing cows out the bedroom window and Galway Bay across from the house. The honesty bar is a neat idea also.
Review 108:Attention to detail. A sitting room with a variety of beverages available. Beautiful surroundings- both ocean front and rural surroundings. Helpful with providing safe food for a gluten free daughter.
