Reviews for Peppers Salt Resort & Spa

Review 1:breakfast was good But our table and other tables every morning we were searching for a filled salt shaker One morning we asked a staff member for a full one By the time she delivered we were finished our cooked breakfast Also the pool gates theres about 3 Of them When your relaxing by the pool and they are constantly being opened and closed, they should have some rubber or something installed to stop the banging noise That was our only negative part

Review 2:Very relaxing Great in house restaurant for dinner Food was excellent

Review 3:Breakfast was best had before 8 am, otherwise a big queue developed, so we went early.

Review 4:Resort full at peak holiday time but never seemed too crowded, fine location near beach, shops, undercover parking. Staff all were good, which with the number of guests there, is great.

Review 5:There was nothing I didn't like

Review 6:It was close to the beach It included its own beach. The general layout of the resort was brilliant The staff were very helpful The food was sublime

Review 7:Too crowded & not enough facilities. No room/chairs by the pool, 25 min wait to fit in for breakfast due to small restaurant. Room size is not worth the cost. Tiny & overlooked the main driveway. When booked, I said we were on our anniversary & not 1 staff acknowledged this at any stage. I worked in hotels (Hyatt & Sheraton) for almost 10 yrs & this is pretty standard to make an impression to your guests. Was very disappointing.

Review 8:Seasons restaurant, service quality just ok (not that attentive & no attempt to up sell~ ordered 1 drink, never asked for a second over 3 courses ?!?!) but the food was faultless! Absolutely fantastic food!

Review 9:Room was tiny and was a disabled room being part of another unit. Airconditioning directly outside of bedroom window was very loud. Television worked intermittently (loss of sound), amongst other things.

Review 10:The location was the best thing.

Review 11:We were not happy that there was no servicing over the Xmas period, also that despite booking for 3 we did not have a 3rd bed setup in our 1 room apartment. We had Xmas lunch at Mantra and did not think the service was good and it was obvious that kitchen staff had tried hard to make the food nice we did not think that at $180 a sitting it was good value for money compared to other 4-5-star resorts that we have stayed at over Xmas in Queensland. Eg. only 1 free beverage, no crab or oysters - sweets were nice tho :)

Review 12:Property is beautiful and staff great.

Review 13:Maybe because we have now been here 3 times, the hotel and Salt in general is needing some pizazz. It is getting a bit bland and same same.

Review 14:Always pleasant here. Main pool is excellent especially for children. Seasons breakfast options needs variety. Good location.

Review 15:Watch put for the birds in the underground carpark. They crap all over the cars.

Review 16:The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was amazing and everything was perfect.

Review 17:Immediate environs were fabricated...shops etc. Very commercial. No sense of being on the coast/ beach.

Review 18:The way the design incorporates nature. Melded well into environment Suite was very nice.

Review 19:It was like a shabby motel room. Dusty - bathroom grout - filthy. ceiling in bathroom falling down. whole room needs a make over. Very disappointed.

Review 20:The location

Review 21:Messed up friends booking. Aspect: my ground floor balcony overlooked a car park. Breakfast crowded and queues.

Review 22:Lagoon pool, bar and cafe next to pool was nice.

Review 23:Check in was very brief compared to others around. Requested late check out but nothing was mentioned so ended up rushed out due to daylight saving.

Review 24:Good pools including heated pool. Drink service by pool. Good surrounding restaurants.

Review 25:Price of bike hire is ridiculous They charge a delivery fee for cocktails to come to your room

Review 26:Loved the relaxing atmosphere free in room movies and facilities

Review 27:We were very impressed by the facilities, excellent breakfasts, our room, service, courtesy & friendliness of all staff, ease of parking and location too. The pools were excellent as was access to restaurants and the environment was utterly relaxing and stress-free. We will be back & also recommending to friends & family. Thankyou for a delightful stay.

Review 28:The air conditioning unit outside the door was very annoying. When trying to relax on the patio the conditioner made it very hot.

Review 29:Very pleasant surroundings.

Review 30:The nearby restaurants were average considering the prices. We liked the one bedroom apartment - the only improvement would be some more comfortable couches as they were pretty bad

Review 31:Loved the lagoon pool for our son, plus buffet breakfast and proximity to beach. The apartment was great for us - we would go to the beach or pool in the morning, come back for a bath/shower, have lunch and all have a midday nap

Review 32:I would have a towel section at pool bar so once you have finished at pool you leave towel there. Little thing but works well in hotels around the world.

Review 33:Staff,food,facility was all sensational

Review 34:When we first arrived, there was no one at the reception desk. Then a young blond woman came out, didn't make eye contact and spoke on the phone, still looking away. After quite a while, another lady came and also answered the phone, but luckily, after a few moments she made eye contact. We had to wait till her phone conversation ended before she attended to us. Is phone answering more important than the actual guests you have?

Review 35:Breakfasts included in the deal were great!

Review 36:Last sentence above

Review 37:Extremely welcoming staff, beautiful lagoon pool, very comfortable rooms. The only negative was we had to walk past the smelly bins to access our room. Fortunately the smell didn't impact us at our outdoor area.

Review 38:Was disappoint , they did not have the position of my requested room I booked for, but they did every thing to change the error and we were happy, well done

Review 39:Staff were very attentive to your needs and happy

Review 40:Loud hum heard from room. Fridge froze all of our food, we were kindly given a discount on check out for this. Beach was a let down- not overly enticing with the warning signs and dumpy waves.

Review 41:Very clean and comfortable, great pool areas. The cleaners were brilliant, they brought a very happy atmosphere to the place and provide a great service. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Review 42:We paid more money than our friends and was given a basement room with no views and no spa pool, our view was the road. We were told last room left but this wasn't true the other rooms were empty. Fridge leaked, exhaust fan didn't work and bed was two singles pushed together, not impressed won't recommend to anyone. Should not have been charged exorbitant rates for this room.

Review 43:Fantastic location for the beach and resturants.Great pool area and rooms were modern and clean. Staff very polite and helpful. Will be going back soon.

Review 44:Couch is a little sterile and not very comfortable. Totally understand that the vinyl is for practical reasons but just lacks a comfy feel for relaxation

Review 45:Love the location and view of the park

Review 46:No bad experience at all.

Review 47:Loved the location, in easy reach of the Gold Coast or Byron Bay, beach within walking distance. The Staff were great, breakfast every morning was lovely, restaurants to walk to nearby, great pools and quiet rooms with comfy beds.

Review 48:Nothing comes to mind

Review 49:Luxurious surrounds , amazing comfy bed , room services A1 and breakfast presentation and service very good and staff very friendly ...

Review 50:Check in. Our room wasn't ready until 30 mins after check in time (2pm). The light coming in from resort lights through toilet window and then through class pane dividing bathroom and bedroom was very annoying for sleeper who likes a dark room. Bedroom had lovely blockout blinds onto balcony, toilet blind needs to be a blockout one also.

Review 51:Close proximity to Kingscliff. Bed was so comfortable and buffet breakfast was very enjoyable too!

Review 52:you need a car to get around, without a car your choice of eateries is limited

Review 53:The ability to relax away from the "crowd". The beach is sensational. The views over the pool were great.

Review 54:Our room was near the socialising area for a conference that was being held and it was quite noisy until late into the evening. This was only a problem the first night that we stayed. As our air conditioner did not work we had to keep our windows open. But the second night we could close the windows and we could not hear the noise

Review 55:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and well equipped. The pools were wonderful. It was easy to find a quiet area where we could relax. It was also great for families. From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent. Reception were so helpful. Restaurant staff were very attentive. The maintenance man that repaired our air conditioning was quick and friendly. There is ample undercover free parking. Would recommend highly for overnight or extended stay

Review 56:Fourth time stayed at Peppers Kingcliff, this time for leisure (only 1 night stay). The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean. Staff are helpful, highly recommend this for business and holidaying.

Review 57:Asked for a shower chair and was told to use chair out of unit. Not suitable. Tiles in shower were slippery and nothing to hold onto. Dangerous having such a big lip between hall and bathroom entrance

Review 58:Easy to get to room, nicely set out

Review 59:We were annoyed that our room was not ready when we arrived and took an hour past the scheduled time. We then had 15 minutes to get ready for a wedding we were attending that afternoon.

Review 60:the friendliness and courtesy of the staff was perfect. the room was bigger than expected. the two pools where amazing and a surprise pond to hang out at was a nice little treat.

Review 61:Private pool was way too cold! These should be slightly heated so visitors can actually use what they pay top dollar for. Also the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Sun beds are very uncomfortable also.

Review 62:Tropical pool was lovely and size of room was great. Kitchen facilities in 1 bedroom were good.

Review 63:The only down fall being in school holidays, there was no room at either pool to sit and have a drink.. It was all overtaken by families!

Review 64:Location to beach and restaurant options close by. Buffet breakfast was very good, even though there was a line up because of school holidays they were polite and moved everyone quickly to get seated. Staff were friendly and efficient on both checkin and checkout.

Review 65:Very dated hotel, packed breakfast, wait for 30 mins to get a table, TV was broken, ordered ice to the room, was told to go to the IGA because their machine broke.

Review 66:Location was ok

Review 67:On arrival Our fridge had opened bottles of drink still in it. Used body wash left in bathroom. Bathroom was not cleaned properly. Dirty dishes put in dishwasher- not washed!! Coffee at breakfast is undrinkable!

Review 68:Great surroundings and restaurants.

Review 69:Unfortunately we had a few maintenance issues in our rooms and moved to three different rooms over a three night stay.

Review 70:Whilst staff were friendly they could do a little better to help resolve problems a little more promptly.

Review 71:Wasn't there long enough. Our only issue was that we required a twin room not a king size bed. As our time was limited and we were only sleeping for a few hours we choose to leave as it was.

Review 72:It was a friendly resort and staff. Rooms were clean and tidy and function room had a great atmosphere and excellent food

Review 73:the food in restaurant by the pool was disappointing. The entree in particular (prawns was dry and cold) , was returned and replaced with a new entree.

Review 74:staff are amazing, very helpful

Review 75:Bed and pillows fairly poor, plunge pool and lagoon pool not heated was real dissapointment.

Review 76:Setting, food in Season restaurant, presentation of resort. Spa bath nice.

Review 77:Unfortunately the only thing that needs working on is the breakfast the hit buffet selection was not hot enough that was not good

Review 78:Peppers was stunning quite and peaceful

Review 79:Very nice, the bed was so comfortable didn't even miss my pillow from home, room was clean and lovely and quite. Breakfast was great just have to get in early, as they were starting to line up to wait for a table to come vacant

Review 80:It was dated, we paid extra for a room with the plunge pool and was filthy and overlooked a building wall. They had a coffee machine in the room but you had to pay for the pods. Room was so noisy, walls were made of paper and when we asked to move the rude girl at the reception basically said to bad! Breakfast was terrible. We hired bikes with a child seat but on returning to pick them up they had given them to other people. its like they got the 4 and a half star rating a few years ago then just gave up! Definitely nothing flash about this place.

Review 81:The size of the room was good.

Review 82:Chanelle on the front desk was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was so helpful and explained everything in great detail. On top of that she went out of her way to change our room for us and it was no issue for her at all. Every time I spoke with her, everything was received with a smile, all while appearing to be training another colleague. I travel at least twice monthly for work and Chanelle is an assets to your resort and definitely one of the best staff I have ever dealt with. Please see that she gets these comments as she made our great stay even better!!!

Review 83:Breakfast buffet was average, especially the eggs (both scrambles and poached). Bed sheet didn't cover the foot of the bed - could touch bare matress with my feet.

Review 84:Amenities were clean. Really close to the beach. Staff were friendly.

Review 85:Check whether the resort has a wedding planned at the time of your stay - then avoid that date. The wedding we had the misfortune to encounter impacted on the facilities and peace of us and other guests. Greater separation of weddings and guests on the part of the hotel would be a great idea.

Review 86:The staff in particular were wonderful. Friendly and very polite. Great pools also

Review 87:great breakfast buffet, especially loved the bircher and the homemade baked beans - but the coffee was not hot. I was glad of that espresso was available to buy, but would have preferred that the included coffee was really hot with good flavour.

Review 88:super comfortable bed. very friendly staff lovely pool area

Review 89:Only 1 thin blanket in the room. Desk/Bureau needed a power point above the desk, not beneath. Private plunge pool had cigarette butts in it.

Review 90:The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Free movies were great. The pool area was an idyllic paradise. Apartment room was very clean and spacious.

Review 91:bed was made with short sheets! so they about 120 cm from the foot of the bed, leaving mattress protector and bare mattress exposed. I dont think even a 2 star establishment would let this pass BIG Black mark for having to strip the bed myself and remake it at 10pm

Review 92:great floorplan of the 1 bedroom suite and spa bath

Review 93:That we had to leave!

Review 94:The perfect place to get away. There is lots to do if you want to but we just relaxed. Room service was great and so was breakfast. Perfect weekend away

Review 95:Breakfast was a little dated in choice and not that fresh. We chose to eat elsewhere after our first breakfast.

Review 96:Perfect location. Convenient to kings ole and casaurina.

Review 97:our bags weren't delivered to our room when we got home form Splendour In the Grass at 3.30 am

Review 98:The girl at check in was very helpful and we met Jamie T at breakfast!!!!!!

Review 99:Everything was great!

Review 100:Amazing poolside beach. The bed was super comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful with directions. They even gave us a bag for our muddy Splendour gumboots!

Review 101:The booking.com app misdirected us to a nearby hotel. That was rather unfortunate at check-in.

Review 102:The breakfast (complimentary) was simply amazing. The gluten-free range was awesome.

Review 103:Cannot fault anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Review 104:We love the location of Peppers Salt with the beautiful beach and the restaurant's at salt village. The buffet breakfast was delicious.

Review 105:Breakfast quality was below what one would expect from a peppers, albeit our stay was during scool holidays, however it was very rushed and was that busy we had to wait for a table... My predominant thought was: how do they cater to the school holiday crowd during the Christmas break (when there is the additional attraction of hot weather)? The same has to be said for the lagoon pool, kids dominating the spa, which is just about the only feasible underwater option unless you're a polar bear...

Review 106:Comfortable bed, good location, close to beach, staff are friendly

Review 107:location for us wasn't as good. We were there just as a couple and there isn't a lot going on there for night life.... had to travel into Cabarita. For families it is better.

Review 108:Breakfast was really good but get there early cause there can be a wait.

Review 109:My partner and I paid extra to have a unit with the plunge pool only to find out they were not heated. Also waited a very long time for our breakfast booking.

Review 110:Would have liked the room a bit bigger. Not much room around the bed and very small outdoor sitting area. Glass doors in bathroom a bit clunky and impractical for small children.

Review 111:Breakfast! Bikes available. Beautiful pool area.

Review 112:I loved everything. From the bed, spacious apartment, friendly & helpful staff who gave us a complimentary wine for my birthday, to the close & convenient shops just out the front. The Season restaurant was lovely & just a short walk from our room but it was good to see other restaurants there too if we chose not to eat at Season.

Review 113:didn't like the bathroom-although it was catered for wheelchair access, I should have a curtain or door separating from toilet

Review 114:location, room outlook, facilities, closeness to other shops/resturaunts

Review 115:The bed was a little uncomfortable as it had a divider to join the two beds together, smallish room

Review 116:Great location with excellent facilities to use and hire. About a 2 min walk from the beach

Review 117:Rooms and furniture looking a bit worn and tired, needs some paint and new furniture. Breakfast good, but cooked food often cold and undercooked. Fake scrambled eggs.

Review 118:Nice pools, great staff

Review 119:Nothing not to like.

Review 120:The resort is very modern and staff are excellent. Salt has everything you need there to make your stay enjoyable, shopping, pub, restaurants, mini mart, bike hire. Close proximity to Kingscliff about 3 minute drive. Great place for families & couples.

Review 121:Large bathroom but bad design, plenty of room but no shelves. Unnecessary toilet screen got in way of door. Long queue for breakfast. "Sunday morning" excuse invalid. No lounge open on Saturday evening. One of many bitter experiences at Peppers Resorts which seem to close down on weekends.

Review 122:Delightful pool.

Review 123:Great location, friendly staff, very clean and high standard of facilities. Breakfast was great and lived up to expectations at a premium price point.

Review 124:I thought Salt would be located in the main area of Kingscliff and I would have preferred to be nearer the general shopping/business district.

Review 125:It was very relaxing and the staff were friendly.

Review 126:Our bathroom was facilitated for a handicap person: seats in shower, adjustable shower head, no shower screen. If we were staying for more than one night we would have asked to change rooms. Also no towels in room, however when we asked they came very quickly.

Review 127:Buffet breakfast a standout as was the free in house movies! We only stayed one night but place is suited for three or more nights.

Review 128:the water leaked out after a shower, had to use the towels to mop up and still was wet , then had to use hair dryer, quite dangerous

Review 129:tthe accommodation

Review 130:We were given the worst possible room, think car park and staff smoking view, despite being a quiet weekday at the resort. After complaining (took two calls and one hour) we were finally given a better room and everything improved significantly.

Review 131:a great 3 days of relaxation, comfort and great food. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Facilities were wonderful and a great kids programme. Good soundproofing in rooms would go back there and recommend it.

Review 132:This resort crams in conferences and is so poorly laid out that you struggle to contend with the large volumes of 'Conference guests' who completely take over the reception areas and the one small bar. The hotel's design is poorly conceived. The breakfast is lack lustre with limited fruit that looks like it was prepared a few days' earlier. Then they have the audacity to charge you $5.20 a coffee. Go somewhere else. The tiny gym is hot and cramped. The stench of the garbage in the car park is awful!

Review 133:The spaciousness of the room was a positive.

Review 134:Shower was a pain, water everywhere although we turned taps on slowly, had to use beach towels to mop up water, also would have liked a comfy chair in room.

Review 135:Ease of booking in and the space of entrance and room, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 136:Our stay was spoilt by having the buildings a/c unit on our balcony this was very disappointing as we could not enjoy the balcony or leave a window open it was sooo hot as heat came out of a/c un it. On checking out and telling the booking staff she said why didn't we ask for another room!!! Would we have been moved as the place seemed to be very full!!!!!!

Review 137:Very Clean and very comfortable though only motel room
