Review 1：The linen in the room was all damp, likely related to the height of the area above sea level. Also, our room involved going down 87 stairs to the room.

Review 2：We had dinner at the restaurant there, which was excellent and a good value. It is a lovely location, though a bit scary to get to with the narrow roads.

Review 3：Once you accept the access road and try to enjoy it - no reservations. Bear in mind that you don't have a view to the lake Como, but instead you get a magnificent view to the mountains which was equally exciting for us.

Review 4：The access was a challenge but once you get used to it it's OK and exciting, however it takes about 20 minutes to get to the bottom of the mountain. Very quiet location, off the beaten track, good homemade food, lovely family atmosphere, nice and very clean room, tidied daily, small but sufficient breakfast in the morning, snack to take away provided (biscuits and jam, juice). Location to the north was OK, good starting point to trips along both shores.

Review 5：Beautiful location, spectacular access road but easy accessible even with a coupe. Wonderful views, excellent home made food, nice and friendly staff, warmly recommend the location to anyone who looks for an escape for the classical 4-5 stars hotels.

Review 6：Very relaxing place, chilled out. You can really get away from the world here. Very hospitable and friendly staff. Homemade dinners were simple and extremely delicious. Walking in the hinterland mountains. The closest public beach on Lake come is a 20mins drive away up and down the mountain, lots of steep, narrow roads and hairpin bends but you get used to that.

Review 8：This is quite simply the best place to stay on lake como if you like peace, tranquility, fantastic views, rustic lifestyle and unbelievably delicious cooking. Having said all that you need to be prepared to travel for around 20 minutes up progressively steeper and narrower mountain roads. In fact, this is also an advantage because all the lakeside towns suffer from terrible traffic and the noise is appalling at almost any hour of the day or night

Review 10：The warm welcome, beautiful room with stunning view of Lake Como. Made us feel one of the family. Because of long walk in bad weather arrived 8pm and had a wonderful meal waiting. Next day a hearty breakfast and owner kindly offered to take us to catch boat to Mennagio

Review 14：La Fonte di Marielle is about 7 km up in the hills from Gravedona. The location is wonderful and during summertime, the climate is more comfortable than down by the shores of Lake Como. All the rooms have private entrances and you can come and go as you please. There is parking by the house, but the last 100 metres from the road and up to the house are very steep. Wifi is free, ask for the password. Dinner was lovely and the vegetables were from our host's own garden. Let the know if you have food allergies.
