Reviews for Ranbanka Palace

Review 1:Every thing is perfect for this property.

Review 2:Location is great because it is in the city itself and all palaces are near by. This type of cleanliness I have never seen in five star property also and of course food is with great taste, overall worth for money.

Review 3:White walls now grey. Shoddy grey towels. Spa is a joke. probably best to stop this and channel resources and finances into doing the place up. Rooms are dull and dingy.

Review 4:Felt like this was once a great place but unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. Nice courtyard. Decent location. Staff we found, contrary to most reports on here, were super helpful and very accommodating.

Review 5:Staff is ok, but could do with a bit more training. Front Desk needs more work for sure.

Review 6:Great location, good restaurant. We were upgraded and had a great view of the umaid bhawan palace

Review 7:Terrible value for money, dirty floors in room, mattresses left out in the corridor outside our door for the duration of our stay, compulsory £100 new year gala dinner, exceptionally poor breakfast an entirely inattentive staff.

Review 8:Excellent shower

Review 9:Charge for wifi (albeit minimal); the rooms could do with some maintenance checks, as various things were not working on arrival (but staff fixed them without hesitation).

Review 10:Lovely staff, nice Club category rooms with some history, excellent breakfast, good location.

Review 11:None

Review 12:Within an authentic indian palace, you can appreciate the gardens, thearchitecture, the quieteness and mysic you can hear, the rooms withbeatiful traditional furnitures... Restaurants serves goid food, andpeople is always eager to service you, smiling. Yu find many cornerswhere relax and dreams about india

Review 13:The hotel appears to be lacking in almost all fronts! The staff do not seem to be a motivated lot. The breakfast served was pathetic. A tariff of of Rs.8K for this is most unjustifiable! To top it all, we see a massive multi-storied shopping mall taking away any sort of view from our room of stay (No.135)

Review 14:A little far from the main sights of Jodhpur, not a lot to do within walking distance. But after all by Rikshaw ok.

Review 15:Nice hotel. Clean. Comfy beds. Nice staff.

Review 16:bathrooms are very dated, bathtub was dirty and towels are very old, frayed and grey-ish. the mattress was terrible, ours collapsed in the middle so felt more like a hammock and pillows were on the cheap side. can be pretty noisy but maybe this was due to a wedding but the piping music early morning was not great. most of the staff seemed pretty unhappy. payment at the end of the holiday was terrible. none of the card machines worked and we got delayed by 45 minutes - please sort out your issues.

Review 17:convenient location close to the fort, some decent shops and a couple of bars and restaurants a minute's walk away. the building is nice with a gorgeous courtyard . rooms are huge!

Review 18:Floor in room was dirty and pool could do with a good clean- felt that it was more of a 3 star hotel with 5 star prices

Review 19:The hotel is set in really nice surroundings and grounds -Fantastic slippers bought on site for reasonable price- staff efficient and friendly

Review 20:Food and drinks are a bit more expensive than in the rest of the city, which of course makes sense since it's aimed purely at tourists. No special treats, even though we mentioned we were on a honeymoon.

Review 21:Very spacious rooms. 2 complementary bottles of water each day.

Review 22:No Facilities in general .We had 4 rooms 2 Club and 2 Deluxe and thus had to stay in 2 different blocks .

Review 23:The ambience of Lawns with Food Service in Candlelight . Food was Good. Staff was courteous. Location was also Good.

Review 24:The therapist at the spa are not well trained, which was a disappointment as I had spent more than 3000 rupees on the therapy. On all 3 days that we stayed at the hotel, there were outside events at the courtyard which was a disturbance to house guests and we were not able to enjoy the property in quite the same way as we would have liked.

Review 25:The location is excellent. It's a quiet property with lovely heritage building and ambience. Loved the courtyard. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Review 26:Not much to see around... The forts were quiet tiring for older people in my group.

Review 27:Excellent rooms all together.. Could see the beautiful Umaid bhawan from our rooms

Review 28:we loved everything. No question of disliking anything.

Review 29:Awesome hotel, excellent service, great location. The best hotel in jodhpur to stay. I was traveling with my wife and it was an amazing experience.

Review 30:I thought the staff were a bit lost. Some training can sharpen the skill level

Review 31:The rooms were comfortable and food decent. The experience was overall quite good

Review 32:Safe didn't work and couldn't be fixed after it was reported. WiFi had to be paid for.

Review 33:Great setting around swimming pool and garden area. Outside restaurants/bar areas. Helpful staff - booked train ticket for us. Great lime water.

Review 34:Everything

Review 35:The Worst hotel during my stay in India. Wearing beautiful dress doesn't make you professional at all. At my arrival the Receptionist was very rude: I was trying to make her understand that I should have paid more then she was requesting to me so Even though I was talking against my interest the Receptionist behaved as she was doing a favour to me. Paying 300 rupies per day for Internet connection is a scandal and it means taking advantage of the guest. You see a lot of staff going around without knowing exactly what they are supposed to do. In this hotel probably the manager thinks that can take easy money from the customers but cleaness is bad, staff very rude and not well trained. Food is expensive and awful.

Review 36:The suite provided to us. There was no coffee-tea bags provided and the tables were too small. The bed linen was very dirty and seemed like was not changed.

Review 37:The location and the garden

Review 38:Internet charges were a surprise for a hotel of this standard, they should be complimentary

Review 39:This hotel is exceptional. The staff are wonderful, NOTHING is any trouble to THEM. Having stayed in the Taj hotels across India,I didn't think anything could compare. But this is a real delight

Review 40:My wife and I stayed at the hotel on Christmas Day. The manager told us about the history of the hotel as he showed us to our room. The room was nice and clean, but the terrace overlooking the courtyard was fantastic! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Review 41:There is no heating system in the room for winter. So the room is quite cold even though there is a heater unit on request. The hotel only give one key per room and have to pay an extra if you need a second key.

Review 42:The location of the hotel is good, not far from the centre. Room are big and clean.

Review 43:Staff service attitude can be further improved. Staff should always greet hotel guests and should not be distant. Technical staff who helped us with the TV in the room was good .

Review 44:Excellent Club Double room. Design and layout were beautiful, very comfortable and spacious.

Review 45:The dinner is very expensive with wine In fact buffet is 13 euros but with tax, aperitif and 2 bottles of wine ( we were 5 and bottle was 35 euros, cheapest one on the menu) the cost was 50 euros each of us, tax, cost of alcohol.....bad surprise. Wifi is chargeable as it should not be in this kind of palace

Review 46:Very Nice and pleasant garden and architecture, a paradise A calm area that it s very welcome after walking inside the city Very friendly and helpful staff Nice rooms Very good location with 5 mn far to the old city

Review 47:It seems a pity that an expensive hotel charges so much for a bottle of water and for wifi, when in many of the much less expensive hotels both these things are free. Also cheap, tea bags and powdered milk in the rooms was disappointing. Why cut corners on such inexpensive things.

Review 48:Comfortable well appointed room. Nice garden and pool.

Review 49:The WIFI should be included in the room prices for a hotel of such category. The laundry is very expensive. The restaurant is also very expensive and the food served does not worth such prices.

Review 50:The rooms are confortable and large, the hotel is very nice and the breakfast is very good.

Review 51:Very smelly rooms and linen bathrooms too were very smelly

Review 52:Nothing horrible experience the rooms smelled

Review 53:That we didn't have longer to enjoy the city and hotel!!

Review 54:The hotel was beautiful with friendly and wonderfully accommodating staff

Review 55:food.

Review 56:The ambience . The location . The weather . Good could have been better with less oil and spices.

Review 57:coffee machine not working water not included during the buffet breakfast

Review 58:place, igene, charm, evening cultural program

Review 59:Nothing

Review 60:The Place is the best hotel i have stayed in.

Review 61:Cleanliness was a bit uneven.

Review 62:Lovely courtyard space for having drinks and meals and enjoying cultural events.

Review 63:I would have liked to access more information on the area- there were no brochures available

Review 64:Local flavour hotel. Live local music.

Review 65:Facilities and service were not good.

Review 66:Property, ambiance and the room we stayed in (suite room on ground floor) were beautiful.

Review 67:There was not Wi-Fi

Review 68:Beautiful and peaceful place to stay

Review 69:Restaurant overall overpriced items.e.g. cold drinks

Review 70:Ambiance very good

Review 71:Wifi not included in the room price

Review 72:Beautiful garden, very nice room

Review 73:Wi fi should be free.

Review 74:Staff is very cooperative. Breakfast is also very good.

Review 75:Hotel has good environment. Nice rooms and toilets. Classic open courtyard.

Review 76:Paid Wifi

Review 77:Great place to stay...we enjoyed the stay, spacious room, tasty food, good location.

Review 78:Staff could be more efficient as we asked them to give a message to other guests and they didn't. Wifi wasn't that good

Review 79:Pool, breakfast

Review 80:It is just one-night hotel.

Review 81:Not far from Jain temple.

Review 82:Service & food is good

Review 83:As a matter of fact there was nothing that displeased us.

Review 84:The behaviour of the staff was excellent . The location was ideal too.

Review 85:Food Quality specially breakfast is good, neat clean property..

Review 86:They advertised wifi and there was none and as this was a business trip this was very bad

Review 87:Gardens were nice , outdoor eating , close to shops

Review 88:Check-out time of 10h00 is alittle bit too early.

Review 89:Nice place, very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 90:the extra bed was a camp bed, I would have expected more for the money I spent

Review 91:the location, the room and the service

Review 92:to pay in advance to charge for wifi

Review 93:Everything was really great except paying in advance for the room and that there is no free wifi!

Review 94:Very loud music from the disco next door during most of the night. It is really bad service that Wifi is not include at that rate.

Review 95:Nice room

Review 96:Cannot have fort view

Review 97:No WFI in rooms

Review 98:Breakfast in the courtyard , relaxing swimming pool and garden area, well trained staff Who speak good English

Review 99:too expensive compared with similar hotels in Rajasthan.

Review 100:nice garden and pool

Review 101:One of the best places to stay in Jodhpur!! great place with excellent staff!!

Review 102:Lady on reception rude

Review 103:Over all good stay

Review 104:Poor Service.

Review 105:Location was good.

Review 106:I dont know as i couldnt find one .

Review 107:Absolutely fantastic . Loved the stay and will return to stay if i get a chance to be at jodhpur again in future. Food is lovely and so was the courtesy of each and every staff.

Review 108:nothing

Review 109:This hotel was a haven of luxury and comfort. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The gardens and the pool area are calm and quiet, a wonderful contrast to the noise and bustle of this fascinating town.

Review 110:Regrettably, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Amongst a number of issues the driver/ 3 day guided tour booked through the hotel's travel desk fell far far short of what was promised and paid for - thereby ruining the vacation. Please avoid. That's my advice.

Review 111:It was very cold while we were there and although that is not the fault or responsibility of the hotel, they only provided an inefficient one-bar electric heater which never warmed up the room. Also, they charged Rs 250 per day, per device for internet access. It was tedious to input all the codes and passwords twice a day as they changed every 24 hours. A hotel of this quality should have provided free internet access with one password for the whole time.

Review 112:The Ranbanka was beautiful, well designed and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were both excellent and well worth the money.

Review 113:Service, Quality, Cleanliness and Location

Review 114:Every thing was perfect that was nothing to say what i dint like

Review 115:Located centrally good hospitality

Review 116:TV programmes not covering important channels

Review 117:Good size of rooms.Friendly staff

Review 118:See abowe

Review 119:Maintenance all over is not good.

Review 120:Location,hospitality,warmath,way of greeting etc etc . Clean place.

Review 121:Worst pillows in India!

Review 122:Very pleasant gardens. Food reasonable; varied buffet style. Good traditional music.

Review 123:A bit tired and complacent. Very noisy at night...but where isn't in Jodhpur...

Review 124:Right side of town for the Fort
