Reviews for Hotel Eden Riviera

Review 1:Unfortunately i cannot add the photos of that hotel. But it was terrible. Conditioner was dripping directly on the socket. Another socket was sparking. The shower room...i have no words. U take the shower and u wash all the toilet at once. Change the soap please. It is stinky. The towels had spots.the ceiling and walls were cracked....it is not good price for that hotel. It is too expensive

Review 2:The hotel was advertised as having a restaurant. This was never open at lunchtime and only open in the evening for our last 3 days, the menu was also limited. As the hotel is a considerable distance from any other places to eat (including a steep climb back) this was an inconvenience. Breakfast was only a cold buffet.

Review 3:The hotel was well situated with regards to views, it was clean but needed some TLC. The staff were friendly and everything was very reasonably priced.

Review 4:Its decor was slightly jaded but not unpleasant.

Review 5:Hotel Eden Riviera was well situated for Acitrezza and the nearby city of Catania. We also travelled to Noto from there.

Review 6:Older and hasn't been updated in a long time. Beds were bad, we had some huge bugs on the walls (no idea what they were but looked like large centipedes?

Review 7:Great view and decent price is about all it has going for it

Review 8:That I did not stay longer!

Review 9:The staff at the hotel were warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The owner and receptionist speak English so were able to help me with information. French and German are also spoken. The hotel has a comfortable, relaxed feel to it. With someone on reception 24 hours you can have refreshments at any time. There is also a fridge in the room and a safe. The room was clean and comfortable and I slept really well with no noise as it is a short distance from the main part of the village where there are many bars and restaurants. The view from the front bedroom balcony and also on the main terrace is simply stunning and very relaxing. There is also a pool set in nice gardens. The hotel itself is worth a visit and is in a good location for visiting the many attractions around and is a short distance from Catania and the airport.

Review 10:We was meant to be staying in another hotel however that went bust and as we had been travelling for 6 days from the uk hadn't realised booking.com had tried to call us and let us know the hotel had gone bust, so the sorted us a room at this hotel. Main problem for us was we were driving a freelander with a trailer and a van on the trailer so getting down tight roads and parking was hard. Here at the Eden though parking was good. After torrential rain and having to park the trailer and car separately...we was given our room, we aren't smokers so rooms smelt so strong of cigarettes. That's was the only downside, however just wanted a beer and a bed so was a nice hotel for that and friendly staff was great.

Review 11:the bathroom was a bit run-down and there was no showerplate just a sinker. the hotel is situated in the hills at the end of a curvy road that is a bit dangerous for pedestrians. the beaches at Acitrezza are rocky, not convenient for families with little children

Review 12:the breakfast is great, the view is fantastic, the pool is perfect, the town is really atmospheric

Review 13:the shower!

Review 14:the view!

Review 15:Old AC, small bathroom

Review 16:The beautiful view from balcony

Review 17:cleanliness,no means of access to anything after breakfast food etc.etc.

Review 18:view of acitrezza & the cyclops islands, pool with garden

Review 19:small bathroom

Review 20:the place and view from the hotel balcony. Fantastic

Review 21:Needs an upgrade everywhere.

Review 22:The view from our balcony was stunning and the town was typical Sicilian on a Saturday night.

Review 23:Absolutely nothing

Review 24:We booked this hotel for all our wedding guests (including us) for three days. Everybody enjoyed the stay thanks to the amazing location and view, to the swimming pool in the beautiful garden and to the staff that is very friendly. We could not have made a better choice.

Review 25:place needs a bit of updating I think they need to present themselves better - the place needs someone friendly and helpful on reception the pool is not as clean as it could be and very heavily chlorinated. I wonder how often the water is replaced.

Review 26:location is good for visiting catania or Etna area is quiet, small town close by with nice harbour breakfast was perfectly adequate and better than expected

Review 27:dirty carpet, smelly cushions, disgusting shower curtain. no idea where the pool is from the picture...??

Review 28:good location (if you like climbing up a hill), nice breakfast, we booked a room without a see view but got one with it and with a balcony which was great. great see view.

Review 29:The fridge was tiny and was designed for cooling not cold. The maidsare very loud by talking and moving furniture around everyday at 0830.The wood floors everywhere are very old and our room had pieces thatmoved, keep shoes on! No elevator. The rear access to the pool makesyou walk over a scary shaking steel bridge that is proberly fine butwhy not fix it?Everything was very worn BUT functional and I would stay there again for 99Euro in the Summer.

Review 30:The view is what this hotel is all about! We had a room that faced thesea and we could see the entire coastline from Aci Trezza to Catania. The rocks that the Cyclops threw at Ulysses were visible with all thesun bathers and swimmers on and around them. The breakfast was nice withcroisants, meats, cheese, tort, yogurt, cappucino! There is a computerand printer. WiFi was fine at .88Mbps. Huge terrace and livingroom withleather furniture. Easy secure parking. Pool surrounded by gardens.Solid Air conditioning in our room. The beach had a club and theBanacher club is 5 min.

Review 31:The room would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities. And the pool could do with a clean out more often.

Review 32:Great location, amazing view. Lovely little pool area, quite and friendly. Bedding and towels changed almost daily.

Review 33:One (main) reason for booking the hotel was the restaurant on thebalcony with wonderful views over the harbour. This is shown in all thepublicity photos and on Booking.com. But the hotel advised us that therestaurant closed 2 years ago and was not going to reopen. They shouldnot be advertising the service as it does not exist. A very frustratinghotel because it has all makings of an excellent business but lacks thewill to make it so - such a shame.

Review 34:The view from our balcony was stunning. Room was comfortable and clean.Breakfast was good and staff were friendly albeit a bit lacking inenthusiasm. Excellent pool. Very good price

Review 35:The hotel and surrounding garden area must have been stunning when it was new! Now, sadly, it gives a general impression of being tired and worn, living on its past glory. Pool area could easily have been made more inviting!

Review 36:The view is fantastic, and sitting on the little balcony with a glass of wine, watching the sunset makes up for everything else. The view and the terrasse are the absolute assets of this hotel! Walking up and down the steep road from the village was worth it, and we found ourselves growing attached to our beautiful view during the week we stayed there. The breakfast was above average with an assortment of bread, cakes and croissants. The pool was clean and comfortable enough, though it wasn't must visited. I guess the impression would be another in high-season. The garden is a treat, a fascinating feeling of entering "The Secret Garden" of childhood with beautiful flowers and birdsong. Staff is helpful and polite enough, and do their best. The village of Acitrezza is a gem, being a lively, authentic fishing village with a great variety of good tavernas.

Review 37:Our shower was tiny, and the doors for the enclosure on their last leg. The room was comfortable enough, but loud as it overlooked the hill which all the cars drive up, and the security window rattled in the wind. Would have liked to eat at their restaurant, but it was never open for dinner.

Review 38:One of our party splurged on a view room, and it was well worth the extra 20 euros, as it had an amazing view and also a sofa and terrace. Our room didn't have a view (well it sorta did as it was at the end of the building so looked out over the road and down to the sea...but nothing like the full view room). Lovely common seating area next to reception with comfy couches. Pretty good breakfast. Great area, liked Aci Trezze and visiting Mt Etna very much.

Review 39:Very close to needing investment in decor and furniture. Exteriorsurround was depressing: closed ex pizzeria, weeds, defunctswimming pool etc.

Review 40:Informality of hotel and staff and wonderful views.

Review 41:Great view, charming old style mansion, beautiful!

Review 42:Very friendly staff and were very helpful in planning our trips around Sicily . convenient parking and close to eating places

Review 43:the bed was in two mattress

Review 44:the position of the hotel not very big and not far from city if you have a car

Review 45:nothing

Review 46:the view , people dancing on the street

Review 47:No hay

Review 48:Todo esta bien!

Review 49:Room had a brilliant view.very relaxing and quiet hotel with a decent pool and lovely garden only a 5 min stroll from the town.

Review 50:No internet in room, sender weak. Pool shut(out of season) No food available apart from breakfast

Review 51:Secure car park Good breakfast
