Reviews for Caravella
Review 1:The continental breakfast was fine but we would rather the milk be cold not room temperature. The staff did not appear to care for speaking English.
Review 2:Location, location, location. Room was spacious and the bathroom was family size - a nice change from many Italian experiences
Review 3:We had the only room with a balcony and the view was fantastic. Once you get past the owners "quirky" ways you can then enjoy a great stay at this hotel. Both the owner and the hotel are a bit "quirky" but I have to say, we will be back.
Review 4:Nothing.
Review 5:The staff and owners were very nice and helpful. Location was perfect , the restaurant was great value and great meals. Can recommend positive.
Review 6:Rooms with window to the street are noisy, I would recommend to take a sea view. Staff does not speak English, but still are friendly and try to help you always.
Review 7:The hotel is straight on the beach - you can jump into the sea almost from your bed. The restaurant is really nice, good food. You could have great time in marina every evening.
Review 8:Caravella is a wonderful place to stay! Right on the beach and close enough to the Cinque Terre to enjoy the five main cities, but far enough time to avoid crowds and higher prices. Staff was very friendly and helpful.. Sara speaks English very well. Food at the restaurant there was absolutely wonderful as well, I would recommend the spaghetti with seafood. I cannot say enough good things about Caravella, great place and a great value!!
Review 9:The staff were very friendly and helpful; I travelled with my dog and he received a lot of attention as well. The location was excellent for exploring Cinque terre and there is a small public beach directly in front of the hotel. Very nice breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.
Review 10:Location, great beach on doorstep, easy train ride to cinque terry
Review 11:Great location. Clean place, comfortable bed. Also Sara was very helpful and friendly.
Review 12:The see view was spectacular.
Review 13:Very good location with the sound of waves ringing our ears all the time. Parking is free and the railway station is also walkable
Review 14:Such a nice and friendly place.
Review 15:The wifi
Review 16:The view, the sound of the ocean
Review 17:Bed could be a bit softer (I like a hard mattress, but this one could give me bedsores after another day)
Review 18:Location is great
Review 19:Breakfast
Review 20:Friendly staff
Review 21:The food in the restaurant is very bad. Nothing fresh. Also, the buffet in the morning is very poor.
Review 22:Beautiful location near the beach
Review 23:The locationin is excellent: very close to Cinque Terre which can be reached by train in 10-15 minutes. The hotel is located just in front of the sea so if you open a window in your room you have a splendid view. The owner of the hotel is a very nice man as well as other peaple working there - thank you for very pleasant atmosphere :-) In the beggining of June it was a calm place and not so crowded beach. It was helpfull to rest after sight seeing of Cinque Terre cities.
Review 24:Shower was very small
Review 25:Gréât staff very helpful and accomodating. Travelled with my dog and he was warmly welcomed to the hotel. Gréât base for exploring cinque terre and there's a small Beach on front of the hotel.
Review 26:It is a little far from the train station.
Review 27:The staffs are really sweet. Only one lady speaks a little English, but everyone tried really hard to help me with my problems. The hotel is located right on the beach, which is awesome.
Review 28:Breakfast was not that fresh (but still don't take it as negative). Place is not exactly one of cinque terre beaches, but that also is not a problem as you can take 20 min train ride to any of the beaches nearby. Trains are scheduled till late at night.
Review 29:Excellent place just along the sea shore.
Review 30:Noise from the street early morning Towels Food in restaurant not value for money.
Review 31:Price Friendly and helpful Receptionist Location and view Good wi-fi connection Parking close by (during low season)
Review 32:The hotel is on the promenade which overlooks the beach and the rooms have a sea view. You sleep to the sound of waves. A five minute walk gets you to the railway station with trains to Cinque Terre. In September C.T. was insanely busy. Deiva Marina was peaceful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved it here.
Review 33:The location of this hotel might well be the best in the whole seacoast in the nearby area. The hotel stands practically on the beach (it is impossible to be closer to the beach), and the windows of our room opened to the sea. The beach is partly sandy and partly consists of very fine pebbles (they feel like sand when you walk or lie on them, but are much easier to shake off), which is a rarity in this region. There are several restaurants and bars nearby (and one inside it), a supermarket, a pharmacy, and the train station -- everything is within 5 minutes of walk. The hotel has a very interesting and pleasant design with unique features, such as a large collection of pictures and painted plates hanging on the walls, and a talking parrot in the lobby. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. We are particularly grateful to the receptionist Sarah who speaks English and was always keen and able to give a very helpful advise. Our room and all parts of the hotel which we could see were very clean. All equipment in our room (air conditioner, ceiling fan, TV set) was working properly, the shower and sink were running easily, there was a small fridge and a safe. The bed was comfortable, and the bed linen was soft and fresh, and of high quality. There were two spare pillows and a blanket in the room. It is worth mentioning that there was plenty of storage space with many shelves and two wardrobes, which was very convenient. Breakfast was nice. Generally, the hotel is perfect for a holiday on the beach and is an excellent value for money.
Review 34:We were really suprised! Very kind staff and amazing location- almost on the beach. Distance to train - 5 - 10 min. I recommend this hotel to everyone!
Review 35:Just a little disappointing that the major works to renovate the seafront seem to have come to a standstill, Current recession problems no doubt. The finished part in front of Hotel Caravella looks lovely!
Review 36:This hotel was particularly helpful and friendly to us. We were in need of extra nights because of problems with earthquakes further south in Lunigiana. They accommodated us, a group of 4, at very reasonable rates. rates.
Review 37:The hotel was a bit difficult to find and we didn't get responses to our emails on directions.
Review 38:The rooms were really clean and large! Breakfast was good!
Review 39:The staff were not very good at communicating. I had to ask for every single thing including starting from the times for breakfast and check out. Language was not an excuse.
Review 40:The location is fantastic, right in front of the beach.
Review 41:Room is a little small for 4 people and location of toilet is rightnext to sink.GPS had trouble finding the place after exit from highway.
Review 42:Location was right on beach and walking distance to stores and trainstation. Clean toom, Staff was very friendly but only one Englishspeaking staff. So make sure you arrive before she leaves. She went outof her way to help. Only a Train ride to Cinque Terre so area has lesstourists which is nice.
Review 43:Small bugs on bed, but sheets changed on request.
