Reviews for Bellevue On The Lakes
Review 1:No microwave or cleaning facilities for my 5 month olds bottles and food containers. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable and i woke up with a sore back and neck.
Review 2:Very clean and modern.
Review 3:The apartment was old and very run down and needed to be renovated. The paint was peeling off the walls, the carpet was stained and there was an overwhelming damp smell. We think the apartment has been flooded at some point. The kitchen smelled like fish and we needed to buy air freshener to cover up the smell! The bathroom was also infested with ants. We were very disappointed in the condition of the apartment for the price we paid, we would not choose to stay here again.
Review 4:The location was excellent, we had a great view from our room. The location was the only positive thing about staying here.
Review 5:We paid a high price (early January)and expected more. The room needed cleaning -cobwebs on the ceiling bed skirting dirty scuff marks on the walls mould in the shower TV remote not responding and door swipe cards not working. Their restaurant was closed (Sunday) all restaurants close by fully booked.
Review 6:Bed was comfortable location was good view from room overlooking boats was nice.
Review 7:I did not know the type of accommodation whether it had coking facilities or not. some patron made noise around 2230pm
Review 8:position as was within walking distance to many anemities
Review 9:Like most accommodation outlets, it is overpriced over Christmas. The relationship with the restaurant, and the lack of room service, require attention.
Review 10:Lovely spot. Professional approach.
Review 11:Do not think 4 stars. Rooms need updating. Shower head useless, very little storage which is taken up by iron board and spare pillows, sofa chair very worn. Shower tiles and sink had hair and gunk on it. Room service consisted of removing rubbish and change towels, no cleaning was done. Pool only kids pool. Given price paid would be nice to have breakfast included.
Review 12:Good location, good size room, parking, had bbq area, various types rooms and units available. Bed comfy and clean.
Review 13:Everything!! Expecially the rude untrained staff, they had no communication with each other, touched out belongings, the room had no kitchen, they have booked us a totally different room then what we booked, we rang the night before to make sure still didn't get it right, the room didn't even have water, payed so much money, I've payed for a $50 motel that had more then they did, there bed was absolutely horrible we pulled out sofa couch, I could keep going on.
Review 14:The indoor pool
Review 15:Nothing we didn't like. But it would have been handy to have a list of good eateries.I asked some housemaids and they didn't know where to eat.Luckily we googled it and found a fantastic french restaurant! The best! Now that should be told to guests instead of the usual (average)fish and chip joints and bakery.
Review 16:The room was lovely, bright, modern, comfortable and had everything(except a shower cap). It looked brand new.The decor was a lovely neutral palette. We loved it.
Review 17:No compendium in rooms Wifi lousy Reception not open after 7pm on Sunday's even though site says 9pm Restaurant not open Sunday or Monday View of the car park
Review 18:Location
Review 19:The staff, the ageing facility. Restaurant food very ordinary and over rated , no extra blanket or towels . and no crockery or cutlery...noisy refrigerator and expensive for the all of the above reasons, won't ever comeback .
Review 20:We liked the location..
Review 21:The attached restaurant was a disaster. From memory 4 entrays and 5 main courses and very expensive. Also arrived cold.
Review 22:The location was on the main road not very far from where a number of tours and activities could be booked. Staff were a little lax in noting down faults that were reported to them.
Review 23:never consider our special requirment, i said no softer for bedding article. they never care about it. we went hospital at midnight for irritability.
Review 24:There was a wedding going on and the Event Room was too very connected to rest of the rooms with lots of noise extending up to 1am. Lack of mini bar!
Review 25:Pleasantly surprised by quality of the service, facilities, and location.
Review 26:Amenities close a little early
Review 27:well appointed and in a good location, staff are friendly and helpful. Our stay was due to a wedding function on site and the venue, service and food was excellent.
Review 28:Cleaner was a little pushy and we ran out of tissues not much left in the box from the beginning
Review 29:Great location, had an upgrade and the view from our room was magnificent
Review 30:The room we stayed is a bit old and located on second level. It is a bit hard to bring over our luggage to upstairs. It's very noisy when shower. I can hear even in the bedroom.
Review 31:Great location
Review 32:mould on the window sill..... Being locked out of our room one day and locked out again the next..... Had to see reception for our room to be cleaned....
Review 33:The room was perfectly relaxing and inviting and the facilities were perfect for us.
Review 34:We only had one night at lakes entrance. Would loved to have stayed another night
Review 35:Spa in the room. Great bed and linen. Facilities great. Location perfect
Review 36:The bed was a bit hard. Complimentary wifi didn't work very well from our room - weak signal. Noisy guests in other rooms.
Review 37:Great room with plenty of space and facilities. Nice view and located close to restaurants and the beach.
Review 38:OVER PRICED for what was delivered! And no offer to make good when issues raised... Unhelpful and rude staff, no room service- even though advertised as having it, chipped + cracked paint on vanity. Cracker- Already opened milk in the fridge! :(
Review 39:Great location, comfortable bed, amenities where generally good.
Review 40:I did not like the bed. It was 2 singles joined together with a mattress over them. Very uncomfortable as top mattress not thick enough to absorb and I felt the 2 singles through the top mattress Sleep disturbed as car noises were heard outside. No restaurant for dinner .Anna
Review 41:I liked the location it was within walking distance to everywhere.
Review 42:We used the pool most days and the areas around the pool were never clean. Eg. Plasters and other rubbish were never picked up so this was disappointing.
Review 43:The view from our balcony was beautiful
Review 44:No mini bar and the door didn't lock behind you. Very little space available to park - granted they were full and many others visitors took up more than one park.
Review 45:The king size bed and cleanliness. The fact you can sit on a comfortable couch to watch the TV instead of the bed.
Review 46:Room was a little worn. Restaurant and bar no open due to renovations.
Review 47:Great location Have stayed before and will probably stay again. Staff are lovely.
Review 48:The only problem was not being able to borrow or hire plates and cutlery. Especially as your restaurant was not open for dinner
Review 49:Friendly staff who were very helpful with my lost property. Very comfortable room which was close to all we wished to see and do
Review 50:Saturday premium price during off-peak. Spa took ages to fill. Bed felt like two single mattresses pushed together.
Review 51:Close to everything. Friendly staff. Modern bathroom. Clean. Plenty of vacant rooms. Nespresso.
Review 52:One of the attractions of Belleview is the Boathouse restaurant. We are aware that it is closed Sunday and Monday but were extremely disappointed whe it was closed Tuesday and when we asked on Wednesday when it would be open we were told in about a month. I feel this should have been told to us at the time of our booking as we may have changed our holiday destination. Also there is only one tiny cupboard for clothes so we had to leave everything in the suitcase.
Review 53:The bed, spa bath and coffee machine were great. The location was also perfect.
Review 54:My main complaint that a ground floor room was preferred. We were allocated a 3rd floor unit and were told nothing else available. However the ground floor units were vacant on the days we were there. As a result my ongoing knee problem became extreme which has spoilt the rest of my holiday.
Review 55:Apartment decor a bit tired, could do with a coat of paint.
Review 56:Heated indoor swimming pool was great for us all, ground floor apartment was in great location overlooking water at back. Easy to reach restaurants, shops and activities. Good sized apartment, very comfortable and reasonably equipped
Review 57:The kitchen utensils were old and the stove takes a long time to heat up. No room service and fresh towels daily. The internet is too slow.
Review 58:The whole apartment was spacious and close to the river. The pool and spa was excellent. Facilities in the unit are good
Review 59:The block of Units looks tired and needs repaint: Unit 12 outdoor furniture seat (1) was broken and possibly dangerous; Interior needs a repaint, bathroom in particular. Facilities look old and tired. We will be staying in resorts in Queensland at around $150 per night (Townsville, Cairns and Agnes Water) in July, in August and September. These are all vastly superior and about at the $150 pn mark. Check out Townsville's Ocean Breeze and Agnes Water's Edge on Beaches. Frankly, the Unit was not worth $190+ for the Saturday night component, and even $150 was pushing credibility for each of the other two nights. ABC & SBS TV reception on Sunday night was appalling, with extreme pixillation and reception frequently dropping out altogether - unwatchable. This caused me to miss a favourite programme and the final stage of the Giro de Italia. On attempting to find out whether this was an individual TV set problem or more widespread, I rang reception, only to be answered by some person in the Gold Coast, who had no idea about rectifying a TV problem in Lakes Entrance!
Review 60:View was very good, 3rd storey: unit layout and facilities suited our needs.
Review 61:nothing .
Review 62:fantastic location .had a problem with heater this was replaced with a another while they had a new one installed the next day . (good service )overall great facilites.and a great place to stay .would come again
Review 63:We arrived at 6.30pm after a 6.5 hr drive.. The restaurant was closed on a night it should have been open, apparently due to a function.. We could have been emailed about this.. Room service was unavailable for the same reason.. We were not told this on check in.. We weren't told we needed to order breakfast that night, and there was no breakfast order forms in the room.. We were not offered a room with cooking facility to make our own food.. And we saw the chef and the kitchen hand leaving the building at 10 pm...!!!! Very hungry guests.. Not happy
Review 64:The bed
Review 65:Breakfast was allright nothing really special.
Review 66:The location of the room with quite a few steps to lug your luggage down could have been better. Location on the water is great. More a winterski resort?
Review 67:We paid too much for eating at the Belleuve restaurant, there was no discount or vouchers. If we were given vouchers or a discount we would of eaten there more often. Also the postion size was enough to feed a bird. Saying that the food was good.
Review 68:I liked that we were near to the front, and close to shops.
Review 69:No day privacy sheer curtain in room. Heat pump on in room spa didn't work. Toilet leaking into floor creating slip hazard. Maintenance had a look but didn't fix leak. For some reason room wasn't serviced on one day of our stay no explanation why from reception.
Review 70:Nice quiet room, great shower water pressure. Loved the coffee machine.
Review 71:i was expecting higher standard than what we got. The pool is small and dirty. staffs are tight on giving out towels, etc.
Review 72:The food is pretty good in the restaurant.
Review 73:The first room we were given had not even been cleaned properly. Reception closed at 6 p.m. and receptionist was not pleasant at all when we made an enquiry! Dining room was not even open for breakfast. This accommodation was not value for money in more ways than one!
Review 74:Bed was comfortable
Review 75:There are no lifts in the main hotel so if your room is on the upper level you have to carry luggage upstairs. The carpet on the stairs and in corridors was very worn. Breakfast was included, but it was very basic, with no option to order a cooked breakfast, no freshly made coffee, and only cheap ingredients in the fruit offering - no banana, citrus or berries.
Review 76:The room seemed recently renovated, with a well-designed bathroom, lots of space for luggage and laptop, an extra single bed, and a nice view over the fishing fleet from our upper level window. The Boathouse restaurant at Bellevue was excellent, with delicious food and local wine. Book into the restaurant when you book your room, as it can be very busy.
Review 77:The Spa had a broken jet and the air controls were jammed.
Review 78:Location close to shops, attractions, good restaurants, size of the apartment, low noise level, and onsite facilities.
Review 79:needed to book restaurants in area ahead . On a public holiday weekend you would think they would accommodate ie work later. Subway looked after us
Review 80:location. It was quiet even though room was only metres from hwy
Review 81:Would have preferred to be closer to the footbridge that goes to the surf beach
Review 82:Indoor and outdoor swimming pools; quality of accommodation (2BR apartment)
Review 83:A bit expensive.
Review 84:After years of trying to find an indoor heated pool in Australia, which is really heated, finally there it is. If you like nice warm water in your pool and great Jacuzzi, strongly recommend. Bed was extra large king size and great comfort. Overall great hotel.
Review 85:service was shocking. In room directory didn't have in-room dining menu, asked for copy and told to go to bar and collect it. Food ordered was disgusting. Worse meal I have ever had when ordering in room service.
Review 86:Did not get a room that matched the value of the advert, room was to have water views & was well overpriced for an every day room. Couldn't park close to room. No bar fridge as advertised.
Review 87:Rooms were very clean..
Review 88:Decor and colour scheme a little dated with ugly ratan furniture. Steep stairs to ascend to first floor. No shower cap or tissues provided, a bit annoying considering price of room. Room not made up after only leaving at 11.30 am. No delegated car park leading to inconvenient parking when arriving back at motel late. Thankfully Wfi complimentary as was useless. Despite a few minor issues we had a pleasant experience.
Review 89:Clean. Nice reception staff. Good location. Reasonably comfy bed. Nice view of water from first floor room.
Review 90:We went to breakfast at 9am, no staff to advise on where to sit. after about 10min. we went in to the dining room and the only tables that were set up hadn't been cleaned off so we sat at a table that had been set up for lunch apparently, the waitress came in after we had been there for around 10min and had cooked toast and were waiting to order a cooked breakfast ,she said we shouldn't have sat there, i said we would move but explained that the other tables were not made up to which she became indignant and said she had been busy,( there were around 4 couples in the room) She said no to us moving and walked off shaking her head , i said if your that upset we,ll leave. her reply was that she didn't care if we did. At no time were we rude or loud about it. My wife and I would never go back their and feel she has let the motel down.
Review 91:Excellent location for New Years Eve activities at Lakes Entrance. Very comfortable suite. Very friendly and helpful staff. State Police also chose to stay there so that is a recommendation in itself.
Review 92:Could hear the guest next to us thumping around, thought it was an elephant, a decent walk to town. Door didn't automatically shut so you had to double check every time you walked in or out.
Review 93:Great car parking, large room
Review 94:Having to leave
Review 95:On our 4 day stay there wasn't anything negative to say. Room was fantastic staff was excellent breakfast each morning was delightful facilities were great. Needless to say we will return.
Review 96:Nothing
Review 97:We were very impressed by this hotel. It has large, modern rooms that are spotlessly clean? Best bathroom out of all the hotels we stayed in Australia. Good location, very quiet. Boathouse restaurant is by far the best in Lake Entrance
Review 98:The room let our stay down a bit. We had a studio apartment room which was stuffy because the window was a non-opening type. It appeared the ventilation system had recently been changed to a reverse cycle system that just recirculated the stale air so there was no way of getting fresh air into the room.
Review 99:Great view over the fishing harbor and convenient location on the waterfront strip. Staff were always willing to provide prompt and friendly service.
Review 100:There were marks all over the walls, hair in the sink and we were on the street side so the traffic passing was loud at times. It felt like we were given the worst room they had because we bought it through a deals website. The receptionist was polite and lovely to the old lady in front and then rude and blunt with me. She didn't even explain that the restaurant was only open for breakfast and not dinner.
Review 101:The indoor heated pool/spa was a bonus when the weather wasn't great. The bed was comfy and the tv was big enough to have movie nights. The spa was big enough for both of us and it also had a seperate shower.
Review 102:Outside light was on all night which kept me awake most of the night. This should be on a timer
Review 103:We stayed in a ground floor two bedroom apt that was located at the rear of the property and had a great view of the lake
Review 104:Getting locked out from 11pm to 1am and talking to someone at the goldcoast and then waiting for manager and maintenance man to arrive to let us in and change faulty lock after two hours and still partly charged for breakfast. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable.
Review 105:Bed excellent and location good.
Review 106:Unfortunately was not assigned with a room with a water view and their restrauant was not operational during our stay
Review 107:Central location overlooking the watet and presented with a spacious room with a quite and relaxing environment
Review 108:The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom floor, which was also covered in long black hairs. I booked 2 months in advance, asking for a quiet room and ended up in the noisiest room right next to the road. There was a light on outside the bedroom window and the very thin blind meant it was like daylight all night.
Review 109:Location was OK but road very busy from 4am.
Review 110:There wasn't anything to complain about, all facility's were most comforting.
Review 111:The shower was definitely the best I have ever experienced. The spa was clean, deep and most enjoyable,
Review 112:Unfortunately what lets this place down is that the units are in need of some tender loving care, a lick of paint would do wonders and not make it look so tired and neglected. I felt that there could have been a few more utensils, like a pair of Scissors, however that is minor. You do have to bear in mind that these units are situated right next to a busy road and you will experience traffic noise along with Guests above you.
Review 113:The Bellevue is located in an excellent part of Lakes Entrance with everything that you need within walking distance. We stayed in the 2 bed apartment, it was an adequate size for our weekend away.
Review 114:we were given a nice view room but we had to use staircase up to the third floor..a little inconvenient but overall pleasant experience
Review 115:family friendly hotel. it has a spa and pool which we enjoyed. useful apartment with kitchen just like your own home.
Review 116:The walls aren't sound proof. If a spa was on at 1am you could hear it. Our spa leaked and our clothes got soaked and we had to go buy new clothes for the next day.
Review 117:The location of the hotel
Review 118:Having to go home.
Review 119:The decor and the large room, the shower, the room on the upper level, the view from the large windows to the boats moored on the water and the comfy bed. Also we enjoyed our breakfasts in the Boathouse restaurant.
Review 120:We were quoted $289 and charged $298.54 on our credit card. We have used Booking.com many times and this is the first time the price quoted was not the price charged. When we phoned thinking it was a mistake we were told it was a "credit card fee".
Review 121:I had to cancel the booking as on the morning of our attendance at theBellvue I received a call from my sister advising that our father (90)had a serious medical condition which necessitated my immediate return.I stopped at the Bellvue and face to face told a staff member of thesituation. I then get a call from Booking.com advising that I will becharge a cancellation fee of a$50.00 Enforced by the Bellevue !! totaldisgrace under the circumstances. I will never be using this facilityagain and will tell all and sundry of my disatisfaction. Rod Andrews.Melbourne. Australia
Review 122:Price was excessive for what we got. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired. For a refurbished property, you would expect the whole room to have been updated but the cupboards looked ancient.
Review 123:Location and view
Review 124:Queen bed was actually two single beds put together, was not comfortable if you like to sleep in the middle of the bed.
Review 125:quite but close to CBD every thing within walking distance, room was nice space not crowded with a great view over the water.
Review 126:Nothing everything was perfect
Review 127:Everyone was great went out of their way to find us the perfect room we wanted
Review 128:everything
Review 129:Office Staff very zer000000000000000
Review 130:Good location and the rooms are very comfortable.
Review 131:The stairs and the coffee machine.
Review 132:Location and room layout.
Review 133:Common areas could do with a refurb
Review 134:Good location
Review 135:We had no compkaints with anything.
Review 136:Nice Hotel in good location snd staff were very courteous and helpful
Review 137:Everything was great
Review 138:Not the standard/quality I was expecting for the money and staff didn't seem interested in my satisfaction.
