Reviews for Albergo La Lampara
Review 1:Some of the food at breakfast had flies on it because it had been left uncovered.
Review 2:Comfortable, nice sea views. Easy train access to Cinque Terra. Breakfast was good.
Review 3:The entrance was difficult to find from the street, you had to walk through the restaurant to access the "check in desk" which was where you also pay if you're a guest of the restaurant. Owners could speak very little English which made organising a late checkin a bit difficult. The older gentleman I dealt with was a lovely man though and overall I had a good experience here and would stay again for the price.
Review 4:Room was basic but clean (1 bedroom studio). Location was great, on the beach by Deiva Marina. I stayed here as a base to explore Cinque Terre, much cheaper and so easy to get to the 5 towns by train. 5 minutes walk to the train station which was a BIG plus for me. Breakfast was included which was convenient. Small supermarket across the road. Restaurant at the hotel served a lovely meal (a bit pricey though). Not your usual tourist hub, very family oriented, lots of local Italian families holiday here by the looks of it which gives it a nice homely feel.
Review 5:Great location, very good breakfast. It was clean. The free parking area is not at the hotel but at the train station (5 minutes walk)-but is even better. They allowed us to stay in the parking place for a few hours after checking out - thank you for it! Really worth it! They didn't charge extra fee for the dog, which is really nice. They did not speak English but we managed to understand each other, so it was not a problem.
Review 6:Breakfast is pretty poor:(
Review 7:Really nice staff even they dont speak english-no problem to commnicate. Great value for money. Everything is easy, don't expect lux
Review 8:we have a very nice stay at the hotel... the place is very nice and clean. the staff are friendly. the dinner is perfect. the room is always clean and comfortable.. the ac works well. the beach is near. they have a free parking lot. i will recommend this place to others. we had a perfect stay.
Review 9:good location, only a five minute walk to train station with easy access to cinque terre. staff were nice and friendly. room was a good size, clean and with a comfortable bed. keep in mind that air conditioned rooms, temperature is controlled by reception after midnight. breakfast had a nice selection, including fresh fruit. a nice beach is just steps away and a promenade perfect for evening walks.
Review 10:Very basic hotel but expensive. Rooms on first floor are underneath the restaurant so a lot of noise (footsteps, furniture scraping, things dropping, children running) until around midnight then it starts up again at 5am when breakfast is being prepared.
Review 11:Location an easy walk from the station. Room a good size. A/C worked okay plus a fan provided.
Review 12:It is very very simple. The price is expensive for what you get.
Review 13:The breakfast was nice. The dinner is also ok. The prices 1-2€ more compare to Toscana restaurants. The location is ok, 5 min walk to the train station. They allowed me to use their free parking permit all day instead of returning it during the check out, thanks for that.
Review 14:Small rooms - nothing fancy. Efficient for access to Cinque Terre and a good place to sleep but you won't want to hang out in the room.
Review 15:Super clean room. Right on beach and around the corner from the train station to access Cinque Terre. Great food in the restaurant.
Review 16:nothing negative
Review 17:very clean, comfortable, breakfast was good (macedonia is a great idea for breakfast :D), easy to travel in cinque terre by train, and as it is not located at the cinque terre prices are affordable, very close to the sea and beach
Review 18:room was spacious but without proper window, housekeepers were very loud in the morning, we automatically had morning alarm at 8am, only one lady at the bar spoke some english
Review 19:hotel location - on the beach and close to train station, shop and restaurants, room was recently renoveted, well equipped and clean, breakfast ok however coffee not that good, owner presented us with a very nice gift at the end of our stay which was very nice
Review 20:Host can't speak English :( but he is nice and friendly.
Review 21:The location of hotel is just in front of the beach of deiva marina. And the water are crystal clear <3 good breakfast! Host is friendly and I printed my air ticket there for free :)
Review 22:Location was great. It was a 5-10 minute train ride to get into Cinque Terre. The staff was all great, they were always available and always more than willing to help with anything. The breakfast was the crown jewel of this whole hotel. Be prepared for a buffet of yummy pastries and italian treats.
Review 23:Room is way too small and no air conditional or heater. Getting cold in night.
Review 24:Near to train station, which is easy connecting to cinque terre. Also on the beach!
Review 25:If they told us to use coin laundry in nearby campsite ,much better
Review 26:A good deal in our dinner and a gifted drink One night later transferred ua to a four persons sea view room And a gift of oliver oil when we checked out
Review 27:The room was a little small but still enough for my sister and me.
Review 28:The view from our room was spectacular. We spent a lot of time on our porch. It was nice that the hotel was in Deiva Marina because it was easy to get to Cinque Terre but far less crowded.
Review 29:Very small rooms limited seating area
Review 30:Location with easy access to train for cinque terre, free parking, great breakfast, comfortable bed, big bathroom with good shower . Very friendly owner but very little English
Review 31:Super service, super room, super area. Amazing views from the room with a huge terrace. Rooms, clean, large and very sunny. Very comfortable bed and bathroom :)) In restaurant good, cheap italian food and wine :) Gentelmans of service very, very, very nice. Breakfat ok. Very close of hotel railway station of the train of which reach the picturesque Cinque Terra. Deiva Marina it's my favourite place of the world and i like often come back here.
Review 32:Bed was a liitle bit uncomfortable. Slow internet.
Review 33:"Italian for beginners" included (nobody speaks other languages in low season-but would give their best to assist you). Close to the 5 terre national park, only 15 minutes by train. Clean. Good breakfast. Fully recommended.
Review 34:While definitely not a problem, hosts speak minimal English but this is made up for in friendliness
Review 35:Everything - location close to railway station, mid point between Cinque Terre & Portofino, right by the sea so could listen to the waves each night going to sleep. Breakfast a huge selection and all great, fresh fruit amazing. Couldn't have better!
Review 36:Bathtub Shower was too small and only with curtains and water was flowing outside bathtub on the entire bathroom. Fortunately it was dry by morning, but it is something that needs improvements. Vasca da bagno doccia era troppo piccola e solo con tende e acqua scorreva nel bagno. Fortunatamente era asciutto nella mattina, ma è qualcosa che ha bisogno di migliorare.
Review 37:Silence of the village, no noise other than the sea waves. Hotel location, directly by the sea shore, with sea views from our room balcony, in front with a big beach with clear water. Hospitality of the hosts. Clean and spacious room, clean bedding and towels, good pressure of watter in the shower. Varied breakfast with buffet. Very close to the train station, 5 min walk. Very close to Cinque Terre, 15 minutes by train.
Review 38:Hotel is quite difficult to find - parking its not in front of the hotel but near the train station. You should ask the staff. Some of the staff does not speak English. Breakfast was poor - there were hundreds of small flies in every fresh food. The hotel is situated in apartment house and does not look like a hotel. ...looks old.
Review 39:Beautiful sea, nearby public beach, we stayed in renovated room that was really nice and clean. Great location, in Deiva Marina only a few hotels are so close to the sea. Suitable for trips to Cinque Terre and Portofino - the train station is about 100 m from the hotel.
Review 40:Room was smelling bad, all building is really old, bad atmosphere between workers, and we can feel it :(. Beach without sunloungers.
Review 41:Breakfast was ok, next to sea.
Review 42:There is nothing we could find that was worth writing about
Review 43:Free beer from owner on arrival and gift of homemade olive oil on departure. Cost of food and beer is very reasonable. 5 minute walk to train station and is pefectly positioned between cinque terre and portofino. You will need 5 days to see the area and enjoy it all.
Review 44:Nothing - it was perfect.
Review 45:This hotel was the cleanest, friendliest and most welcoming of all the hotels we have stayed in over our 5 weeks travel. The rooms, hallways and surrounds were spotless. Breakfast was provided which was ample with cakes, fruits, yoghurt, coffee, juices plus more. The owner/manger was a really nice, friendly guy. He was helpful and had a great sense of humour. On leaving he even gave us a bottle of olive oil. Deiva Marina is only 17km from Cinque Terra. It is certainly cheaper and more peaceful. The train to Cinque Terra is only 300m from hotel. My partner had the best seafood spaghetti he has ever experienced. We also found a beautiful pizza in the local streets we were exploring one night. I will definitely love to come back to this area - for longer next time.
Review 46:-None of the staff can speak English. -No good restaurants nearby.
Review 47:-Close to train station so that you can go to Cinque Terre very fast -Close to beach
Review 48:The language barrier was difficult because no one spoke English but the staff could still figure out what we needed. After all we're in their country! The parking situation was not the best but at least it was included and if you stay in deiva marina, you won't need your car.
Review 49:I liked the location on the beach quite a bit. The restaurant was really good with different seafood selections local to the region. It was very close to a grocery store, the train station, the center of town. Deiva marina is a quiet, italian resort town. People are friendly and it was just the place my wife and needed after the craziness of rome. We had our 16 month old son and staff was very accommodating to our needs.
Review 50:Owners were very nice and helpful
Review 51:See view.
Review 52:Nothing
Review 53:Liked the Location. Staff were friendly and helpful

Review 69:-friendly staff -good breakfasts on terrace -good location on the sea
Review 70:We booked a room in the 1st floor, which turned out to be in the basement, which the owner calls "first floor"!
Review 71:Close to the beach
Review 72:-Staff does not speak any English -Rooms are very tiny and you can hear everyone in the surrounding rooms.
Review 73:-Very close to the train station -Good food -Clean beach, great location right on the beach -Quiet and relaxing area
Review 74:Staff does not go out of their way to be accommodating. Not much to do in Deiva Marina, but they have a very nice beach.
Review 75:Proximity to the beach. Good breakfast.
Review 76:elevator small, cumbersome. 3 flights of stairs to get to our room. Parking not convenient.
Review 77:family operated, friendly and helpful. location close to the beach, super market and train.
Review 78:Epsent
Review 79:Great family hotel! Very friendly staff. Tasty breakfast with excellent coffee and crouasans! If we will in Liguriya in future, we necessarily will stay in this hotel! Thanks!
Review 80:We stayed three nights and truly enjoyed this hotel. It was very close to the train station and right in front of the beach. The room was clean and the breakfast was nice. The staff was very helpful as well. We have already booked for another night in June and looking forward to going back.
Review 81:The family atmosphere and very customer service orientation and their in house restaurant was excellent in their quality of food and reasonably priced
Review 82:Difficult to find it even w GPS.
Review 83:Quite, safe, short walk to train station and ride to 5 terre. Staff/owner. makes you feel welcome. ELEVATOR is a plus! Apt w ocean view and sounds of ocean waves. Bedroom is small but is enough. Comfortable bed.
Review 84:the internet was a bit slow
Review 85:the location is near the central station Deiva Marina, which is close to Cinque Terre. the people were very welcoming and nice.
Review 86:very difficult to find, far away from cinque terre
Review 87:Great hotel, at the beach and in the centre of the small village, good value for the money and great breakfast! Staff very nice; free parking
Review 88:We enjoyed everything. Sea very close, very nice breakfast. Room clean and big enough for three travelers. Place were return and enjoy stay. Thank's for owners!
Review 89:The room was small. The tourist part of the town was pretty much shut down.
Review 90:The view of the sea was great. Even though the staff spoke less English than we spoke Italian, which is next to none, they were very good and pleasant to deal with. Location to Cinque Terre, via train, was great
Review 91:Not of great importance, but perhaps the lift was a little Claustrofobic.
Review 92:We very much liked the situation at the lovely Mare Liguria. We liked the very friendly Staff (I think they all were in some sort family with each other) and the unpretentious atmosphere. The Breakfast was nice.
Review 93:I'd have like to be able to communicate more easily with the staff, in French, English or Spanish, but, it was italian-only... which makes it for a limited conversation!
Review 94:I did really like the calm of this little forgotten town, DeivaMarina, after all the other more historical sites I had visited. It was like a bit of fresh air again. I liked the atmosphere, the low-key resort feel of the hotel, the good breakfast, the helpful service.... Everything!
Review 95:Parking was confusing. Back of the building needs to be spruced up.It's fine but you really aren't sure you are there until youwalk around to the front. Not as close to Cinque Terre as I thoughtit would be.
Review 96:Overall the hotel was fine. There is free parking but it was difficultto find and it was about half a mile away. The parking lot is a fenced, gravel lot next to the train station. The breakfast was good as theyoffered several types of fruit which is not common for Italy. Breakfastin Italy is carbo loading with turbo coffee (not that that's a badthing!). The hotel was kind of a strange set up with the way you enteredthe building. You come in on a road from the back of the building, walkup some stairs on the side of the building toward the beach and aroundto the front. You should do a google map, street view of the buildingbefore you go so you can recognize the area when you get there. Ithelped me a lot. Overall, it was good for the price and the owner gaveme a bottle of olive oil as a parting gift which was a nice touch.
Review 97:The breakfast could be improved with more variety of things. The matrasses should be renewed. The maintenance of the air conditioner may be checked
Review 98:The location in front of the beach was great for a hot summer day! the food at the hotel's restaurant was good and not expensive. Easily to reach from train station and to go to Cinque Terre. Friendly staff

Review 101:The staff were a bit intimidating, and didn't seem to understand any English.
Review 102:Everything was really nice overall. Great location away from the main, more tourist-populated areas of Cinque Terre, but close enough to make it easily accessible. It also had a beach, unlike the other towns.
Review 103:The room was small.
Review 104:We were looking for an inexpensive hotel with a parking place and close railway station to get easily to the Cinque Terre. The owner was very nice. The breakfast was good and the view to the sea from the balcony was great.
Review 105:Staff doesnt speak english but we could still communicate mostly.
Review 106:On the beach, could hear the sounds of waves while falling asleep. Also on the beach which was very nice. Very close to the train station for a quick train ride into Cinque Terre. Extremely hospitable staff, provided us with a free pizza while enjoying a couple drinks at the hotel bar.
Review 107:Rather hard to find - look for sign of a same named restaurant and follow upstairs to the sea into a hole. That's the way!
Review 108:Though we were too late at check-in. the staff waited for us (for 2 or 3 hours at night!) and was very pleasant and nice! First line from the sea))
Review 109:It was a little hard to find, and the room was a bit humid so we were a little cold throughout the night
Review 110:The room was very clean and cute. It was on the sea shore. The owner spoke no english but was patient to understand what we were saying.
Review 111:We stayed off season and the price was excellent. It was a 5 minutewalk to the train station and was easy to get to the Cinque Terra.
