Reviews for Alphof Sölden
Review 1:Whirpool in a wellness area a bit noisy. Some poeple blocking beds in relax area also when they are in sauna or whirlpool when other people could use them. Ventilation in bathroom switches on automatically with light.
Review 2:Food. Nice wellness area where no swimming suites are allowed.
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:Staff was amazing, attending to all little details that make the difference. Superb breakfast buffet, the sauna area was great. My partner being celiac was not an issue and the chef cooked a Gf dish on the spot. We just spent one night there coming down from the mountains but will definitely consider a longer stay next time.
Review 5:Pillows are very bad, they are feather-filled and offer NO neck or head support at all as they just go flat under the weight of the head!! I used harder smaller decorative pillows from the couch to be able to sleep. The maid then brought two small (children's) pillows extra whoch made it a bit better when I put them on top of the regular ones but it still wasn't comfortable. The wi-fi signal is simply terrible. Both in the room and downstairs. There are no bathrobes or slippers in rooms which is not nice for a hotel with spa facilities. You can rent them at reception for €1 per day each. At €1600 per week I would expect that to be provided for free. The room had a shared balcony but no fridge or minibar! So if you want to keep a bottle of wine or some snack, you have to use the outdoor space which in minus temperatures is not always a working option. Minor: There is a pen but no notepad or blank paper in the room. Had to use postcards. Towels were changed daily regardless of the Eco-friendliness disclaimer and the fact that we never threw our towels on the floor or in the bathtub (which means change them). Very strange.
Review 6:Ski bus stops right in front, both directions. Food is great and very varied. Always a vegetarian option for main course at dinner. Saunas are small but nice, great quiet room to rest afterwards. Would be nice if they could close at 9, not at 8 though. All staff was excellent, super friendly and some spoke Russian.
Review 7:no real lounge or relax zone. the bar is type of cosy but in the evening during ski-holiday fairly loud and crowded. WLAN (for those who need to check email due to business) is only working in bar area - so you have to come down to bar area. this area closes sometimes at midnight.
Review 8:Wellness zone / Sauna facilities were extraordinary. Very nice and modern with 2 types of sauna (60/90degrees), steambath, whirlpool as well as indoor swimming pool. Food - both breakfast and particularly dinner were excellent.
Review 9:Good food, Pleasant friendly staff, nice quiet and clean rooms, good swimming pool area and other facilities,Nice bar area, good location, This was a great hotel,
Review 10:This was a high quality place to stay. The hotel had very nice facilities and the food was delicious. We only stayed one night, but it would be great to stay for awhile and look at some of the local outdoor attractions.
Review 11:super friendly staff, very nice room, great food
Review 12:nothing

Review 15:- location near ski bus stop - savna - food - stuff - ski resort Sölden
Review 16:Halbpension
Review 17:Great staff, very helpful Good vegetarian options on the menu
Review 18:wellness
Review 19:minor issues: lack of kettle in the room; weak wi-fi;
Review 20:friendly and helpfull stuff, wellness centre, food
Review 21:The spa facilities could have been nicer
Review 22:Food was very good; and the price of the stay was very competitive
Review 23:Everything only suggestion is better pillow selection
Review 24:We paid about 200eur a night. For that I do expect a nice fluffy pillow and duvet (they had a very cheap/bad quality pillow and duvet) and normal toiletpaper ( they had the cheapest of the cheapest)
Review 25:Very clean hotel Skibus works perfect
Review 26:At the edge of the village, (too) far from the main apres ski and night life locations.
Review 27:Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and dinner. Very friendly staff
Review 28:Whirlpool only until 16.30 PM available with swimsuit on, after that prohibited to wear a swimsuit.
Review 29:Food was very good Friendliness of staff Very comfortable hotel Skibus in front of hotel
Review 30:I wish the wellness was open until 10 it is very hard to do dinner and wellness after skiing between 6-800 rushed.
Review 31:Anna the waitress is awesome and the food is tip notch. The manager is amazing always helping the staff and even cleaning dishes. A great guy!!
Review 32:repeating menu on the evening menu, missing minibar fridge in the room, lack of equipment in the bathroom-the hotel with four star rating I would welcome dispense soap dispenser shower gel-shampoo to one of the breakfast staff allowed to serve already spoiled ham which had green color! staff at the restaurant about 15 to 20 minutes before the end of breakfast and dinner buffet menu has been cleaned up. Internet cost - In 21 Century price of 1 EUR/1hour is really awkwardness. Is better if this hotel does not offer the service or give free of charge or for a nominal fee for one day.
Review 33:pleasant, helpful staff,clean
Review 34:Wifi was alittle clumsy use, requiring every time username and password. Ventilation was not. so good.
Review 35:Frendly stuff, excellent food, bus stops just infront of hotel (free skibuses), everything work fluently.
Review 36:It seems very very very strange and self-defeating for a 4* hotel ofthis excellent quality to charge for WiFi (esp. When you can get freeWiFi up the mountain), and bath robes (1 euro). It feels cheap andpointless - I would have much preferred to automatically pay 1 or 2euros more per night, and have these included for free. Also the spa is "naked only" after 16.30 - which means after a day's skiing you have no option but to go naked, or not go at all. I am by no means prudish and am all for a bit of nakedness, but there are times when one just doesn't feel like seeing one's fellow guests with it all hanging out. Perhaps "naked on alternate days" would be better...?
Review 37:Wonderful hotel, very helpful and friendly staff who go out of their wayto make sure you are happy, exceptional food (big choice at breakfast, and delicious 5-course dinner), biiig rooms, a "panorama" swimming poolthat lives up to its name, and out of season (we went in October)exceptionally good value for money. The hotel is slightly out of town,at the start of the road up to the glacier, so that means peace andquiet, but a 10-15min walk to the centre. All in all, this is abrilliant place, which I recommend very highly indeed.
Review 38:Really, there was nothing to complain about -- the hotel was clean, thefood was good, and it was trivial to get to the base of the gondola (1minute bus ride down the hill). For my purposes, this was perfect!
Review 39:This was a last minute trip to get some skiing in during a businesstrip; and I chose Alphof Solden after reviewing numerous websites --Alphof Solden exceeded my expectations in every area. The room wasimpeccable, and surprisingly quite large. The service was outstanding, and once the staff detected my deplorable German, they conversed inperfect English. I had not planned on eating the "half board" which wasincluded in the room, but was very pleasantly surprised with the qualityof the meals offered.
Review 40:Wellnesscentre is a bit too small You have to take a bus to the ski area, walking to the city is not attractive due to a busy and boring road No view (from our side of the room), hotel is built very close to other buildings
Review 41:Rooms are clean, beds are fine. Nice bathroom, nice staff, breakfast is super, diner is ok
Review 42:Thought the wine was pricey and a little too far out of town to consider walking back in at night. However facilities at hotel were very good. Only issue was noise from room above people stomping about and noise of people coming in at 0200 !!
Review 43:very comfortable stay, good food and varied choices.
Review 44:Breakfast was good, with all you need.good filter cofee.bio juice. Thereis a small pool, but I like it. I did't like sauna because there are toomany naked people... You need slippers, bathrobe cost 1€. is it 4*?Thedinner was ok.excelent looks but not very tasty. I didn't like soups andstarters. The duble room is large, very clean.
Review 45:Spa and food were amazing
Review 46:Great vegetarian meals, very friendly stuff, comfortable and clean rooms!
Review 47:Obliging staff, clean and comfortable amenities, very good cuisine.
Review 48:Limited offer of warm food in breakfast buffet
Review 49:Excellent dinners, good wine selection. Location directly on Skibus stop, parking
Review 50:Dinner was not great. Need to get taxi home from the village as long walk all uphill. Would like a hot tub in the spa area.
Review 51:Nice rooms
Review 52:Gym in hotel is very poor..
