Reviews for Hotel Lido
Review 1:No parking available, no beach spot from Signora Angela, no sea view room and very basic for the money. As a result of the above we cut our stay short.
Review 2:The staff were polite and helpful.
Review 3:Very friendly, sweet and helpful staff. You can walk right onto the beach and have a delightful swim anytime. Excellent free breakfast, short walk to train. Lovely walking around Dieva Marina with its little grocery shops, restaurants, markets. It is a small room, but very adequate. Get a balcony if you can because you can see the ocean from the balcony. It was nice to be away from the fierce crowds of Cinque Terra!
Review 4:Hotel Lido was a great home base for touring Cinque Terre. The hotel is a five minute walk to the train station. From there, you can catch a 20-minute train to Monterosso, Vernazza, or one of the other towns. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff is tremendous.
Review 5:The sea makes a lot of noise during the night, joking: I loved it! The restaurant is good but rather expensive (difficult to spend less than 35€), only italian TV channels.
Review 6:Clean, nice room, modern bathroom, sea view, good beds, dog accepted, friendly owners.
Review 7:Pierre and his family were truly kind and generous people. His staffwas very helpful and their morning restaurant staffer, (Sophia, Ibelieve) was amazing. She took time out of her very busy mornings tohelp me plan out multiple day trips to Cinqua Terre and Portovenere. Ispeak almost zero Italian so her ability to speak english made my tripone of the better traveling experiences ever. Thank you all again for awonderful time!
Review 8:Hotel Lido is the ultimate in a family operation. From front desk and housekeeping, to food preparation and serving, it's a family affair, and clearly a labor of love. We felt the warmth and care of everyone the moment we arrived. Besides the lovely family environment, the dining experience is memorable. The wine list is exceptional and full of surprises. If Cinque Terra is your destination, then Hotel Lido should be the respite on your journey.
Review 9:nothing, except i must have missed the note about the wi-fi (there was none in the room)
Review 10:-the suite was awesome with its wonderful bathroom, with the sea just in front of the balcony -the food in the restaurant -the breakfast -the friendly staff
Review 11:Deiva Marina is not a stop for all trains so you have to plan departure and arrivals - it has mostly 1-2 stops per hour.
Review 12:We received a room upgrade - great view on to the beach and great room; Sonja, one of the staff knew the local areas to visit less frequented, gave great advice and added to the trip; Food is excellent and worth the trip. Location is centered between Cinque Terre and Portofino so you see both areas easily - leave the car and take the train!!!
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:Everything ! Staff were superb. Location on the beach. 3 mins to excellent train service to the Cinque Terre and beyond. Room superb. Breakfast superb.
Review 15:You will never get lucky in the shower ( even if you planned to be on your own) smallest shower I've ever been in but this is hardly a big deal.
Review 16:Position was excellent, the town was quaint and monterrosso was only a 10 minute train trip for the cinque terra experience. Really nice trip
Review 17:3 hour boat ride to see all 5 of the towns, it was great in the morning, but in the afternoon it was kinda miserable riding that boat all the way back. The private beach mentioned in the brochure actually means its private and not apart of the hotels deal.
Review 18:I like the fact that it was so close to the beach that was nice. I also liked the town that it was located in, the sea food in the town was amazing and there is a really good bar right next to the sea food joint. All in all it was a great trip and I would go back and stay there.
Review 19:Not really a dislike but screens to the windows/doors would improve the room comfort.
Review 20:Great breakfast; great location just next to the beach. Slept like a baby listening to the sound of he waves. No Mosquitos so kept window open all night. Very nice area. Staff very polite and helpful. Great location to take the train and visit Cinque Terre. Also a 56 minutes drive to Carrara and the Mabel mines. Just fantastic.
Review 21:the beds were a little stiff, but that is very typical of Italian hotels.
Review 22:One of the best hotel stays we have ever had. The staff was extremely helpful on helping us plan our hiking/trains, etc. The location is amazing..right on a sandy beach, and away from the tourists, so you really get the full "italian" experience. I would also recommend eating at the hotel restaurant for dinner. We ended up eating 4 out of 5 dinners there because you simply couldn't beat the service, wine list, or food anywhere else. The included breakfast was also amazing..Eggs made to order, fresh fruit, ham, etc. 100% coming back to this hotel if we are ever in this region again, as it is truly a gem. Could not have asked for a better experience.
Review 23:The hotel is run by a charming couple, their daughter, and a few employees. It is clearly run with a view for the long term; they were accomodating in every way and did not charge us for anything other than the room and dinners. The restaurant is excellent. The breakfast is quite sumptuous, delicious, and made to order. The staff were very kind and helpful with our 11 month old daughter. Location is excellent, right on the beach and near the train station and supermarket. Deiva Marina is a beautiful town and great if you're looking to avoid the tourist crowds. It was easy to relax and enjoy our vacation.
Review 24:Location close to the sea, free parking space, walking distance from the train station to Cinq Terre
Review 25:Perched beside the sea. Leave the balcony doors open and fall asleep to the sounds of the sea.
Review 26:Very nice staff! Extremely helpful. Family hotel style, but they were up uppmärksamma our arrival at 2am

Review 43:Location. View. Friendly helpful staff.
Review 44:You can hear your neighbours... The breakfast reveals an Adams family approach...
Review 45:Clean rooms, although the decoration of rooms is clearly lacking a professional touch.
Review 46:Breakfast could offer more choices
Review 47:Good location to visit Cinque Terre Great view on the sea Excellent value for money Very friendly staff Free parking
Review 48:We would have preferred some fluffy pillows... Only minor detail as bed was very comfy.
Review 49:We loved the old fashioned personable service, the beach view and the proximity to the beach.
Review 50:Being right on the beach, there was a bit of noise from the crowds, especially with the windows open. Also, further away from Cinque Terre than we thought when booking our stay, but convenient to the train station.
Review 51:The best staff we have encountered during our six weeks in Italy. Breakfast was excellent and the room very comfortable.
