Reviews for Royal Views
Review 1:With the help of the GPS we managed to find the hotel after driving down a narrow alleyway. At arrival I was a bit disappointed that it was not a hotel but a small villa. The first impression on entering was the cold uninviting white lights at the front desk/lobby. All the lights in our room were also cold white, quite a strange choice in my opinion. We have chosen a suite, the most expensive category. So our room was big enough. But don't believe in the photos you see on the webpages! The hotel is in reality totally different. I just cannot but congratulate the photographer who managed to montage such photos of the hotel. The flooring in our room and in the lobby area is primitive unpolished raw wood panels which gives sombody maybe a chalet touch, but me an unhygienic feeling. The amenities in our room are DIRTY. The shower door was defect, so after each shower the floor in the bathroom was all wet. One of the bed lamps didn't function. After informing the owner(?) on our arrival it was still not replaced at our departure after 2 nights. This room was the most expensive during our Israel travel but, apart from its size and view, the worst. (I am sorry to say this. But so that other travelers won't be disappointed and their travel joy not be dampened.) There is no wifi connection in our room nor in the little restaurant at the basement, only at the lobby could we have Internet access.
Review 2:The villa was located not far from the city center with a view to the Lake of Galilee. There is free parking outside the villa. Our room, a suite, was real big.
Review 3:Very ... very good! More than we expected. The manager Shirley became our friend and sister in about 5 minutes ... :o) Every room had a view and either a Jacuzzi tub or hot tub. there was a large public hot tub /wet and dry sauna and a very nice public pool. ... any problems were addressed right away. Somehow Booking.com did not get the information that we included breakfast in our stay. Shirley did not even blink, she said no problem I will cook your breakfast. [this is for a group of 15 people] . Also one of our group had a birthday so while they were out she brought balloons and a gift into their room! .. She even ordered our pizza for us in he evening... we felt like we were all part of one big family living together in a beautiful home. thank you Shirley and Royal Views Hotel.
Review 4:Room was a bit small
Review 5:Shirley the manager was brilliant, very helpful, all staff are friendly Jacuzzi overlooking Sea of Gallilee with pool - amazing Good breakfast Stylish room I enjoyed staying there Compared to bigger hotels it is a better option
Review 6:Wifi was weak.
Review 7:Sylvia was a gem at the front desk. Even though our group reservations had been mixed up, she worked with me and all turned out great. She was professional and very personal in our stay. Great breakfast and the view was spectacular. When I travel again, I will come to this hotel. Sylvia made a lasting impression on our entire group. Pictures matched our stay. Can't go wrong staying here.
Review 8:The outside area was not clean on our floor. Tables and chairs was dirty and it was not possible to sit there. The water in jacuzzi on our floor was not clean. But in public area around the pool and spa it was OK.
Review 9:friendly staff, comfort beds, excellent breakfast, spa is perfect
Review 10:Shirley (owner) was a wonderful host. She made us feel at home. The facilities were wonderful and very close to all of the sites near the Sea of Gallilee. We enjoyed the beautiful views from our deck, the breakfast, the jacuzzi and the steam room. It was a great value for the money.
Review 11:Everything
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:This hotel is exceedingly dirty & rundown. For the service provided it is excessively overpriced.
Review 14:Great views of the Sea of Galilee from the hotel
Review 15:Looks like 3 star hotel in Europe.
Review 16:Very dirty, old torn furniture
Review 17:Friendly and helpful staff
Review 18:Very dirty , totally run down ... This place should be taken offBooking.com
Review 19:The Manager Sherly made us Feel at home Treats the guests like a mother it's a small hotel but cozy like a guesthouse style
Review 20:Staff was awesome, as was the view! Thanks for a great personal experience.
Review 21:Shirley, the manager was excellent
Review 22:No restaurant in the hotel, breakfast in the cellar and it was not very clean.
Review 23:Great view.
Review 24:The room was only cleaned once during our 5 night stay and that we had to ask ror
Review 25:Fantastic views over Galilee Very friendly and helpful staff
Review 26:Liked it all! Well done Royal Views!
Review 27:Wow, what a great hotel on the Sea of Galilee! The rooms are wonderful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful (especially Shirley the Manager!). The location is walking distance to The Old City! We ended up staying on extra night. Love the Royal Views and would stay again
Review 28:Incredibly dirty. No idea when last the floors had been mopped, chairs on balcony dirty, bits of food from last guests on floor in room and on balcony. Bathroom and spa bath - don't think they'd been properly cleaned in years. Very sad because the place has a LOT of potential. However, you check out feeling like you need a really good shower...
Review 29:Beautiful views, looks amazing from the outside. Bedding was at least clean.
Review 30:Hotel was not clean and bathroom smells. Our room did not get serviced and when I inquired it didn't seem like a big deal to the management. I changed our linens. I noticed the room next to us had checked out and left their door open. Their room was not serviced for 24 hours. More over, they had left windows open so trash from their room blew into the hallway and remained there overnight. Also, there seems to be an issue with the plumbing- the bathroom drain smelled so horrible we could not bring ourselves to shower on the second day. I would not recommend this hotel.
Review 31:Beautiful view of the Sea of Galilee.
Review 32:breakfast was served late (9 am). The directions to the hotel are not user friendly.
Review 33:The view! The style of hotel. Breakfast! Pool and facilities. Great place to stay!
Review 34:The building wasn't well kept at all: the elevator did not work. The jacuzzi on the balcony did not work. The wifi in the room did not work. There was trash on the balcony by the kitchen corner. There was no hair drier in the room, we had to specifically request it. No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. Luckily we had our own. The staff barely spoke english and we had to pay the room when we got there, not at check out. I don't think it was good value for our money.
Review 35:The view of the lake was awesome and the location very good. We had a room with a balcony and a view.
Review 36:We booked two "Sea View" rooms with balcony, one did have a great view of the sea, the other was rather a bit obstructed. The chlorine smell from the pool seeps a bit into the rooms close to it.
Review 37:Very engaged staff who prepared a fantastic breakfast, you can really tell that the owner puts his heart and soul into it. Great view of the Sea of Galilee. Private parking on site, behind a gate. Very clean.
Review 38:Make sure the concierge wears respectable clothes to match the beautiful hotel. My wife and I enjoyed the escort to the room, but I would recommend not doing that for foreigners and letting them settle themselves in.
Review 39:Avi was very friendly, the facilities a great. The hotel is botique style with beautiful views and jacuzzis on each floor. Breakfast was elegant and plentiful. Thanks so much for a well needed vacation
Review 40:The staff was amazing ! They are so accommodating and helpful. The views from each room are great. Very clean and very beautiful pool and accommodations
Review 41:Royal views wants to profile itself as a class hotel, this is absolutely not the case. It is runned by managers who are not capable to care for the guests and the hotel, also the area surrounding the hotel is a mess. Moreover through their asocial behaviour and the techno-parties they have in the hotel it totally deprives the Beautiful environment the lake of Galilee should have: no respect God, nor for the Torah, nor for the Shabbat, nor for His priests: an asocial atmosphere; first thing we heard from the nightmanager when we arrived: that he liked amsterdam because there he could do what he want (cannabis, red light district). Furthermore loud techno-music and yelling teenagers on Shabbat and in the evening and in the middle of the night 23:00u – 4:00u (meanwhile nightmanager was sleeping, we had to wake him up (2 times in one night) and put a lot of pressure on him to do something about the situation) furthermore: drinking and smoking on Shabbat, asocial behaviour and asocial guests, open sewerpipe with awful smell in the room and on the terrace, old furniture with cracks in it, old rubbish on the terraces, loud main road beneath it, trying to change financial agreement about the prices of the rooms, not consistent in the breakfast (always forgetting two or three things: coffee, eggs, etc). This place and it's managers robbed us of a beautiful and Holy time we could have had at the lake of galilee.
Review 42:The negative experience has completely overshadowed everything that could have been positive.
Review 43:Noisy: it looks like more a B&B than a boutique hotel. The family was having their dinner in the lobby / lounge until 11pm. From our room, we could hear the children until very late (11pm). Breakfast was not served before 9am (although requested at 8am the evening before). The breakfast room is not overlooking the lake, which is a pity when we came for that! Dinner was booked for us by the receptionist, but then he could not give us the dirction to get there: adress in hebrew only and it was Friday night so difficult to ask anyone on the street too.
Review 44:Nice room, well decorated, but no view on the lake. Good israeli breakfast, but served late....
Review 45:Amazing boutique hotel!! If you are staying in Tiberias and you are looking for a nice modern quiet place, facing the Sea of Galilee with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and helpful staff, then this is the place!! Totally recommend it!
Review 46:The room wasn't cleaned once our entire stay. The hallways had cigarette buts and ashes lying in them. The location was far from any restaurants and there was no restaurant at the hotel either. The breakfast wasn't open until almost 9. There was unreasonably loud techno music until very late at night that made it nearly impossible to sleep for us and our children.
Review 47:The view was good and the rooms were spacious.
Review 50:The night manager had a party with incredibly loud techno music. It took 7 calls to finally get the thing shut down after 1 am. There was no acknowledgement of the incident or apology the next day. There are many hotels with beautiful views in Tiberias.
Review 51:The views were beautiful and the room was spacious
Review 52:Breakfast super poor. Not competent staff!!!
Review 53:This hotel is still not finished.
Review 54:I went around for 2 weeks in alot expeciv hotels this was the best one and good priced
Review 55:Rooms and bathroom small and not very clean
Review 56:Excellent staff. Amazing balcony
Review 57:Nice hotel, with good equipment and veranda. Helpful staff. Nice view over the lake.
Review 58:Breakfast redundant and limited. Wifi poor signal. Only worked in lobby.
Review 59:Balcony and view. Friendly staff
Review 60:The wifi signal was not very strong.
Review 61:Views were great! Breakfast was good.
Review 62:Kitchen and Breakfast Very Dirty Not as described on the internet. poor value for your money
Review 63:frendly staff
Review 64:Nice clean place, Great breakfast, and above all great personal service, Kobi and Avi were great and very helpful.
