Reviews for Residence Kriss
Review 1:Worst pillows I have ever found in my entire life. Miserable blankets and covers on beds. Overall the beds are just bad . You won't sleep well. The cleaning personal every morning from 7 until 10 start to scream to each other, throw things on the floor, make noise , throw buckets on the floor and God know what else . Overall say good bay to your morning sleep once they come .Every morning.Horrible. The Wireless Internet keep disconecting you . 2 times every 3 minutes. Make something about it people !
Review 2:Nice location , close to beach. Close to railwaystation , good location to visit with the train Cinque Terre and PortoFino. Good to use it as a base to visit the region. Nice and friendly staff on reception . Will explain all you need to know about trains/boats/5 Terre.
Review 3:Quiet small village of Deiva Marina. Beautiful beach. Residence is nicely facilitated and hosts & staff friendly. I wish I would come and stay longer.
Review 4:Our air conditioner would turn off by itself. But it was early fall and not warm at night.
Review 5:That we could park our car and not worry about it during our stay. Also, upon checking in, we were given all the information we needed to visit Cinque Terre.
Review 6:Deiva Marina is so well situated . You have easy access to Cinque Terre and Genoa and it is a lovely quiet beach resort in itself. There are good restaurants, the train, and some quite nice hotels
Review 7:This place was brilliant. So well equipped for a self catering bedsit type apartment. Everything in there was useful - its obviously been carefully thought out. Easy and close access to Cinque Terre too.
Review 8:It was expensive. But the location, staff and beach were first class. Breakfast would have been niece for the price.
Review 9:Location is great for beach and train. A great summer retreat and air conditioning that really worked well! In a hot summer this was the place to be.
Review 10:It will be very convenient to have the tea-pot in the kitchen and pillows are not comfortable.
Review 11:Well welcome by owners, friendly atmosphere. Christina and Franco do everything to propose comfortable stay for their guests. Excellent idea with beach umbrella and chairs. Very convenient location for visits of Liguria and nearest regions. Good organization of parking for guests' cars. Owners are always ready to advise and to support the guests in different situations, that may happen abroad in the new country.
Review 12:beach staff (it was a private beach so as hotel guests with which they cooperate, we received folding chairs ONLY in the LAST row. The first rows were always occupied for others (even if nobody stayed there)
Review 13:great localisation, friendly hotel staff, clean rooms, nice pebble beach, close to bakery and other food stores, calm little town, excellent pizza nearby
Review 14:Nothing! Everything was great! Would highly recommend to travelers visiting the area.
Review 15:Fantastic location with a absolutely wonderful and very helpful staff! All of them are very welcoming!! (including our dog!) The private beach was very convenient; the little shop in front of the hotel has a good grocery. The hotel sells gelato which is very tasty, and they are extremely dog friendly!
Review 16:Can't think of a thing!
Review 17:Our studio apartment was immaculately clean and had everything we needed with a fully equipped kitchen plus a balcony. The hotel bar added great coffee and gelato. The staff from the owners to barista to cleaning staff were all kind and helpful. We brought bicycles and the secure garage kept them safe.
Review 18:We were rather disappointed with Deiva Marina as a village.
Review 19:Very helpful, friendly staff. Not far to walk to the train station. Neighbouring hotel Clecia excellent to eat at.
Review 20:Residence Kriss is cute little hotel nestled in the dreamy seaside town of Deiva Marina. We based ourselves here to adventure into the Cinque Terre "five lands" during the day. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station. Room features a well stocked kitchen, satellite TV, couch double bed, spacious clean bathroom, adequate wifi in the room and access to a washing machine/dryer. The family who run Residence Kriss are so welcoming and helpful. We loved our time here, it was sad to say goodbye.
Review 21:Could do with an oven dish and a Tupperware or too for the kitchen (need to boil water on the stove as no kettle provided but that is true of many Italian apartments)
Review 22:Friendly and welcoming owner/manager. Lovely cafe and bar Close to all amenities and transport Clean clean clean
Review 23:Just the view of our room.
Review 24:Wonderfull staff. Extremly friendly. We really appreciate the owner giving us a bottle of regioanl white wine at our departure. His wife was great in providing us tips of what see and how to get there. The location was wonderfull very quiet and close to a few restaurants, a bakery and a small but very nice supermarket.
Review 25:The hotel lucks lunches and dinners, but the hotel personal can always direct you to the nearest restaurants.
Review 26:Hotel is close to the beach. The car parking in the hotel is free and private. The breakfast was very delicious.
Review 27:There's nothing I didn't like Shops, station were walking distance I recommend this place to everyone!
Review 28:Cannot fault this hotel Very friendly, clean & central to the cinque terra
Review 29:Getting around the Cinque Terre was time consuming a times, as there weren't too many trains from Deivena Marina. This isn't a huge problem... You just have to plan ahead a little.
Review 30:Amazing service. Friendly, family-run business. Very well set up and spacious apartment. Clean and tidy. Tasty breakfast. Quiet surrounding area. Ended up staying two days longer than planned. The best places we stayed at during our trip to Europe.
Review 31:We loved everything, no complaints.
Review 32:Beautiful apartment very modern! Walking distance to the beach, with free beach access chairs and umbrella. Walking distance to the train which takes you to each city of Cinque de Terre. Great restaurants and fresh markets near the Residence Kriss.
Review 33:The bed and pillows were really awful. We have had a lot of experience traveling in Europe, and know the beds are usually firmer than we are used to, but this was really bad. The beds caused us a lot of neck and back pain. If you can sleep on a very hard bed and pillow without issues, you should stay here. I hate to dwell on this because otherwise, this hotel was superb.
Review 34:The location and owners of this hotel are delightful. We loved Deiva Marina and the authentic, Italian experience we had here. The owners were so kind and helpful that I wish I only had positives to say. They even let us use the washer and drier for free. But...
Review 35:Quite hard and uncomfortable beds and pillows, that was the only thing we didn´t like
Review 36:The owners and staff were absolutely wonderful, very friendly and always helping out with whatever you might need. Very close to the lovely beach, beautiful view from the balcony and Residence Kriss is located at a gorgeous little square with small wonderful shops, such as butcher/cheese shop, vegetable/fruit shop etc. We loved it!!!
Review 37:Noise from the restaurant/ bar downstairs comes up into the apartment. Bed was hard. No quilt on the bed. Only a sheet which was not enough warmth for me.
Review 38:Close to beach. Umbrella and chairs on the beach are included in the accommodation. Young girl at reception incredibly helpful. You can walk outside to two shops to buy groceries.
Review 39:No complaints
Review 40:Friendly and helpfull staff. Quiet area. Two small markets very close with a lot of good cheese, bread, fruits etc. About 100m to the beach.
Review 41:Good start to visit Cinque Terre. Quiet. Helpful staff.
Review 42:Great location! Only 15 minute train ride into Cinque Terre. The staff was amazing! Great breakfast and clean rooms.
Review 43:Great hotel in a great location, ideal place to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino etc, and a nice resort in its own right
Review 44:Franco and Christine were the best. Train station 5 minutes away, easy to get to cinque Terre.
Review 45:Nothing at all!
Review 46:The staff, the spacious and clean apartment, the quiet location close to the beach and the train station.

Review 50:Very relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly owners . On site parking . Few minutes walk to Station .
Review 51:OK.Prijemne prostredie,parkovisko,terasa plaž nedaleko...
Review 52:Quiet, clean and helpful staff
Review 53:just a little too expenssive
Review 54:everything
Review 55:Cleanliness
Review 56:Nothing
Review 57:The good hospitality assistence of the keener of the hotel, the spacious room with all 83rd facility and comfort.
Review 58:Location - in quiet village Access to beach and use of umbrella and seats Family friendly and helpful Use of washing Machine
Review 59:The suite was very large. Could easily had room for three.
Review 60:Friendly and helpful staff, calm area, short walk to the beach. All in all, we had a perfect time at Residence Kriss.
Review 61:- The beach is with sand, but the entrance to the sea with small stones, which was not very pleasant.
Review 62:- Location is excellent. It is close to the beach, train station and the shop (is in front of the hotel). It is a good place to stay when want to visit Genoa and Cinque Terre (travel there by train or boat) - Staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. - Rooms are very well equiped (all the dishes, pots, frying pans, cutlery, bowls, also a wine opener!) - You receive also a small dish and cleaning soaps, and a sponge for washing dishes. I think it is nice when you come and want to use the kitchen, and do not have to buy those things by yourself. - We were travelling with a small baby (4 months) and got a baby bed, which was also fully prepared (blanket, pillow, etc). The baby bath was also in the bathroom. The location is really very good prepared for a stay with small kids.
Review 63:There was no cutlery in the kitchen. The pillow was a bit too hard for me.
Review 64:This is the perfect place to stay when you want to visit Cinque Terre. To go to the first of the five towns it's only 15 minutes by train. The trainstation is only a five minute walk from this hotel. The beach is also only a five minute walk. The hotel is great. The room is very clean en the staff is very kind. It's also nice to have your own kitchen en balcony.
Review 65:Very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean rooms. Perfect location to visit Cinque Terre while at the same time in a calm town away from the crowd. 5 min walk from the train station. 5 min walk from the beach.
Review 66:Everything was perfect
Review 67:The owners of the residence are really nice and helpful people. It is clean and very comfortable hotel. You have all you need in the room. The area is very nice and really close to the beach. For those who come by car, there is a place for your car.
Review 68:Can't think of anything
Review 69:The young woman at the desk was fantastic and so helpful. It was a wonderful place to stay and we wish we had stayed longer.
Review 70:Loved everything about this place. The rooms were fabulous; newly remodeled, super clean, nice patio deck with table umbrella and chairs. Private beach included with price that comes with beach towels, umbrella and chairs. Train station is an easy five minute walk. The staff was super helpful, they gave us maps and very helpful info. about the area. The nicest apartment we have stayed in. The owner even spent 20-30 minutes programing our cable tv in our room to english stations for us. Highly recommend Hotel Kriss.
Review 71:absolutely great place to stay. staff was so friendly and helpful. will definitely go back in the future. Residence is close to the train station. town is quiet and small, but so close to the Cinque Terre towns to travel by train.
Review 72:The beds and pillows were a little hard for our taste, but we came torealize that's the norm in Italy.
Review 73:We stayed in Deiva Marina to visit Cinque Terre. For two adults and onechild it was about 6 euros each way back and forth to the villages. Thatwas more than made up for by the private beach, quiet town, quaintmarkets and friendly locals. Ct is packed with tourists, mostlyAmericans, and it was so nice to come home to dm each night where wecould actually converse with locals. The owners of Residence Kriss wereso friendly and helpful. Immediately upon arrival, the owner gave usmaps, train schedules and tips on traveling the area. Plus with theroom, we had two beach chairs and umbrella on the private beach.Everything in the village is within walking distance and there areplenty of signs directing you toward the hotel when you get out of thetrain station. There's a great pizzeria and great little markets toget food to prepare in the room. We enjoyed the market/deli acrossfrom the hotel for cold cuts, fresh fruits/veggies and bread. Andwine of course. We highly recommend Residence Kriss. And if you havelittle kids, there is a playground across the street as well.
Review 74:relaxed comfortable resort in a lovely town. This was a great base for exploring the Cinque Terre region and to relax in between in the ton and on the beach.
Review 75:The wifi was hard to connect to at times, but who needs wi fi when you can be relaxing on the beach, visiting cinque terre, or hiking!
Review 76:We are two 18 year old girls travelling alone and this place felt so relaxing and perfect for us! The staff was so welcoming, they were so polite and were always smiling! They gave us a list of train/boat times and maps. The bed was large. There was a very nice balcony with a view of the mountains. Room had a little kitchenette with stove, microwave and sink. The room was so clean and perfect for us.The hotel was in a very small city with a beach and the train station was right there! It was nice to stay there as oppose to in Cinque Terre as it is not as busy and very relaxing. The train was very cheap to Cinque Terre. We loved Cinque Terre but love relaxing at the hotel on our balcony and on the beach. We had an amazing trip.
Review 77:Nothing.
Review 78:Great hosts that spoke English and were very friendly and accomodating. Great breakfast served all day. Location. Access to train station and beach.
Review 79:Pillows hard & no choice.
Review 80:Easygoing & helpful- more than expected. Gave us lots of information about where to go & what to do. Highly recommend it to everyone. Deiva Marina should be a place for anyone that likes good food beaches & close to Cinque Terre.
Review 81:Spotlessly clean and well equipped apartment, my wife says it'sthe cleanest place we've ever stayed in. Staff were very, veryfriendly and most eager to assist and help with advice on visiting thelocal areas of interest - Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Portofino andother towns. It is only a 5 minute walk to the station, and 20 minute ride to Monterosse, then a few more minutes to each subsequent town in Cinque Terre. Given the amount of walking one has to do in the towns, it matters little whether one stays in one of the towns, or just outside at Deiva Marina, as we did - unless one is a keen hiker, a lot of train trips will be required. The trains don't go to Portofino or Portovenere, one has to either catch a bus or a boat from nearby stations, where the trains do stop. A word of caution about Portofino. They charge 7€ for a 330ml can of coke. If you are on a tight budget, you may not be too happy. We were there at the end of the season, and most of Deiva Marina was closing down. Yet two mini-markets were still operating, one across the road from Residence Kriss, and one just 30 or so meters down the road, which provided many food essentials. We also drove to Sestri Levante along the old train tunnels that parallel the beach, starting at Deiva Marina. That was an interesting experience.
Review 82:it's a nice apartments with a very warm atmosphere! Clean, friendly/helpful staff, great hospitality, comfortable rooms and facilities, good location!
Review 83:As another reviewer mentioned, after a certain time of night the outsidegate and doors are closed. The gate was left unlocked and we pulled itopen but the door requires the room key to open. It would be my onlysuggestion to advise guests of this in the future!
Review 84:Everything! There was space to park our car, and the room wascomfortable and well equipped, like a mini apartment. We cooked dinnerthe first night and ate on our private balcony. It was so easy to getto Cinque Terre, only about 10 minutes to Monterosso from the station.Visiting in early October, it was a great way to avoid staying withall the tourists in the middle of Cinque Terre, the town of DeivaMarina was quiet and calm and a nice place to return after the bustleof the 5 towns.
Review 85:Cozy family runned hotel. The staff is very friendy and gives good explanation (Italian / English) about possible excursions and train and boat connections. Spacious rooms with small kitchen and terrace. Good breakfast. Quiet location, close to the sea, close to the old village center. Shops and several restaurants nearby in all price ranges. Easy train connection to Cinque Terre (train tickets available in the hotel). Good free WIFI connection.
Review 86:Everything was close (shops like groceries, bakeries, and the nature like sea and hills), everybody was very friendly. For leisure and relaxation is perfect.
Review 87:We were visiting Cinque Terre and really enjoyed being just a few minutes by rail from Monterosso but in a nice smaller town. The staff very helpful and lots of good advice on what to do. The kitchen is very good.
Review 88:Nothing - it was as expected.
Review 89:We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was just what we needed - with a kitchen to prepare our own breakfast and dinner (after long days exploring Cinque Terre). We could even enjoy some wine on our own balcony. The location is perfect as a base for exploring Cinque Terre - only 5 mins walking from the train station, then 20 mins until the first town. There is also a food store across the street and a larger supermarket near the train station. The town itself is small & quiet but has a nice beach & restaurants.
Review 90:Keep in mind that there is not too much to do in this town except use the beach. You will have to use the train to visit towns up and down the coast.
Review 91:Located in a small beachside town with good access to the Cinque Terra area by train. One of the better beaches in the area.
Review 92:During our entire 4-day stay at this hotel, the heating in the room was not functioning. At nights the outside temperature would get down to 5-10 degrees, so we were freezing all the time. Hot water was not running at nights and early mornings. We also were not very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, even though we had room service daily, the bed sheets had some dust/sand on them every time. The reception is not open 24 hours, and at our second night we were locked out of the hotel at around midnight as they had locked the main entrance door at some point in the evening. We eventually got in by tapping the room key card at the intercom, but we were astonished that nobody told us about this upon check-in. The location of the hotel is good, Deiva Marina is a nice seaside town but if you're to visit the Cinque Terre be aware that the train connection is rather sparse and delays occur very often. Overall, especially due to non-functional heating we found the room rates at this hotel to be too high and unfair in relation to the quality you get in return.
Review 93:The staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious. We had a nice view of the nearby beach.
Review 94:Nothing - everything was perfect!
Review 95:The welcoming staff, great location & roomy apartment. The friendly staff explained everything about the apartment & all the sights of Cinque Terre. We felt like we were welcomed like part of the family! Nothing was too much trouble. We were even given a bottle of wine when we left - a lovely touch. There was parking for our car & internet connection was great. We would love to go back & highly recommend Residence Kriss to everyone.
Review 96:Although the kitchen is equiped with a cooker, be prepared to wait foran hour if you want to make some tea: the cooker is very slow and thereare no other tea or coffee-making facilities. Also take some tea, salt, sugar and oil with you or remember to buy them in a shop if you areplanning to cook; the hotel doesn't provide any of thoseingredients.
Review 97:Very friendly stuff, free bicycles for the guests, short walk to thebeach and the railway station, 15 min by train to Chinque Terre.
Review 98:So pleased we stayed here, staff were very helpful, location was very good, love to go back. Great to have a fruit/Vedg store out the front 5min walk to the train station.
Review 99:A hotel with a very warm atmosphere! Clean, friendly/helpful staff, great hospitality, comfortable rooms and facilities, computers in dinning area were a great help, many of the rooms have very good views with balconies, beautiful location!
Review 100:Cannot find any fault in Residence Kris
Review 101:If you want to visit Cinque Terre, do yourself a favour and avoid the hustle and bustle of the tourist area and stay here. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff were amazing and it was a peaceful retreat after a hectic day walking and sightseeing.
Review 102:If you're driving to The Cinque Terre and have kids, I'drecommend Deiva Marina as the place to base yourself. Train trips to the5 towns are cheap and easy. The stay at Kriss was great. We werewelcomed warmly and offered free parking. Local stores provided goodvalue Italian food we were able to take back and prepare in theexcellent cooking facilities in out kitchenette.
Review 103:Very relaxed en clean hotel/apartment with friendly helpfulprofessional staff. Well equipped kitchen, dvd and Internet. They cleanthe apartment every day and never forget the details.
Review 104:the location & view from balcony easy walk to station and over the road to the beach.
Review 105:The staff was very friendly and kind. Location was convenient! Room was clean and confortable.
Review 106:Family run, personable, easy access to Cinque Terre. Great location.
Review 107:Location close to the train. Easy to get to Cinque Terre.
Review 108:Location, helpful staff, nice and clean.
Review 109:- somewhat very hard pillows
Review 110:- pet friendly, no problem to bring along cat and dog - very caring staff, even with a souvenir present
Review 111:Size of shower
Review 112:The beds and pillows are the only thing we had a problem with, not very comfortable.
Review 113:Nice place all around. Staff very nice and helpful. Clean.
