Reviews for Albergo La Marina

Review 1:In the village nothing to see.

Review 2:Location excellent near the beach and trains. Excellent service and personel. Nice village to stay over if visiting to Cinque Terre

Review 3:bed was very hard, air conditioning worked only during the night

Review 4:Staff was very friendly and helpful, private garage, very close to the beach and trainstation, excellent local restaurant just across the street

Review 5:Absence of refrigerator. I would be ready to pay more and have a fridge in the room. Air condition only at night and not always efficient. No place for soap in the shower. Very poor coffee machine at breakfast but good coffee served on personal request.

Review 6:Fair rooms, good cleaning and good service at breakfast

Review 7:We stayed at Deiva Marina during final part of our Italian trip. If you are thinking about visiting Liguria and Cinque Terre feel free to book this hotel. Hotel is situated near to the beach and almost at the centre of the village. Hotel is small, but very pleasant and comfortable. Rooms was really enjoyable and clean. Staff is very attentive and helpful, we get lot of recommendations to the fine restaurants and travelling to Cinque Terre. Even at the last day, when we were leaving too soon before breakfast hours, we had everything for the breakfast prepared and was even asked if we don´t want also omelette. We had a really great experience and we are looking forward to visit this hotel and Ligurian area again.

Review 8:The air conditioning was only operating from after 9pm at night.

Review 9:The staff were great, Marco provided a lot of information about trains and where to travel to, how to buy tickets etc. The waitress in the breakfast room was wonderful, very helpful, greeted us every morning and was attentive. Marco's dad was great too

Review 10:It's not exactly part of the cinque terra. (A 8min train ride)So the train tickets really started adding up going back and fourth, but on the upside staying in a nontouristy part of town allowed us to try authentic Ligurian food at night.

Review 11:This place is so cute! It's run by an entire family. Super clean 5 min away from the deiva marina train station, which was a huge relief after traveling all over italy with luggage. It even has its own restUrant inside and excellent wifi!!! Marco speaks great english and is very helpful in planning your stay. Plus he's a cutie

Review 12:The owner was pretty manic...make sure if you eat there you ask what the cost will be. The owner is evasive about this..There is no menu and no prices...we got a very nasty surprise when we went to check out , we had been charged $90 euro for a very basic meal of pasta and fish with some wine ..plus 23 euro a day parking..

Review 13:Location..view was great...1 kilometre from town but an enjoyable walk.

Review 14:The hotel was really nice, maybe just a little too expensive for a such a small town as Deiva Marina

Review 15:Hotel itself was of a great quality

Review 16:Location : Staff :

Review 17:Really Nice!I recommend this hotel!

Review 18:We liked everything, especially the hosts were awesome!

Review 19:lack of minibar

Review 20:clean, good location, helpful staff

Review 21:A little bit far from the five main towns

Review 22:Quite, peaceful, for anyone who wanna to relax. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Review 23:Good little hotel, the staff are very helpful, good secure parking and location for trains to Cinque Terre.

Review 24:Excellent, friendly, and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Quiet and charming. We would love to return!

Review 25:Helpful staff. Close to beach and to train station. Good location for exploring cinque terra. Clean rooms.

Review 26:We have stayed at this hotel for 4 night. Really nice hotel, staff were very friendly perfect location for someone who is looking for a quite place near to the sea. Would highly recommend this hotel

Review 27:No kettle in room, took a little time to replace empty items at breakfast, hardly any English channels on sky tv apart from news or pay per view.

Review 28:Proximity to the beach, the terrace or solarium, friendly helpful staff, wifi, cafe bar, bedroom and balcony. Everything really would go again.

Review 29:Super family - so helpful. Extremely convenient for station, but not too close. Beach very near, - very quiet when we were there- Could go on coastal walks from hotel. Great pizza restaurant in old town.

Review 30:I would choose a larger room next time.

Review 31:Very friendly and helpful staff, especially explaining the train schedule to Cinque Terre. Home made ravioli and desserts were wonderful.

Review 32:The best thing is the fact that the hotel is very close to the beach, a very nice beach comparing to the other Cinque Terre ones. Beside that, I was very impressed with the breakfast which was very good and superabundant. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 33:the cleaning lady, she was a bit rude when we took some time to vacate the room so she can clean.

Review 34:Everything about this hotel was good. Glad we chose it instead of something near the famous village. the location is excellent and the village has its own small beach which was the best as compared to all other village towards the 5 villages. Family run hotel, we ate every night at the hotel excellent food. everything was personalised to suit our needs. recommend it to anyone any day.

Review 35:Very well maintained and updated old style small hotel with direct access opposite to new secure basement carparking with very easy access. Value for money meals. Friendly and helpful staff. Beach is directly opposite. Beach views from upstairs communal terrace. Easy access from freeway. Close to station.

Review 36:The hotel is very close to the beach (2 min); rooms are nice and clean. We also had a terrace. Breakfasts are really good, besides the hotelrestaurant serves also good quality dinners with fair prices. We alsoused free public parking which was recommended by the hotel personnel. Idefinitely recommend this hotel for those who are sensitive toquality/price conditions.

Review 37:Breakfast was limited and their range of food could be expanded beyond cheeses, meats and bread.

Review 38:Great hotel, good location. Recently renovated with new rooms, facilities and decent sized bathrooms. Rooms have LCD TV's and Sky Boxes. Short walk to the train station which allowed you to explore surrounding towns. Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. The reception sells train tickets, drinks, cigarettes etc. which is very convenient. There is also a restaurant open at night. The hotel also has a secure underground car park which was perfect to park our rental car in, as it is easier, cheaper and faster to explore the surrounding Cinqueterre areas by train.

Review 39:The staff were all very helpful and we were able to buy local train tickets at the front desk. The hotel restaurant was excellent and great value so we ate there every night. The included breakfast was also very good.

Review 40:Excellent staff. Very clean facility, including dining room, lobby, rooms and bathroom. Great breakfast in nice dining room. Safe garage parking that is only opened with a remote (for a daily fee of 8 euros). Close to train that takes you to Cinque terre in less than 5 mins. Close to water. Bank is across the street if needed. Nice, quiet, old-fashioned friendly town with mostly locals and not all the loud tourists.

Review 41:Deiva Marina is a bit too quiet and apart from other places but for a short trip it is totally ok.

Review 42:The food is awesome and prices compared to other restaurant are very reasonable. Staff is friendly, though when we arrived they were a bit busy but i understand as it is family run business. They gave us helpful information and also did not cancel my booking though the credit card was not working before i arrived. Highly appreciated the support of Marco & Elena. Parking is in garage right in front of the hotel, so everything is perfect. Indeed the sea is not so nice but it is overall the same in Cinque Terre. We also enjoyed the music festival on the last night on hotel ´s terrase with sea view & stage view :-)

Review 43:nothing

Review 44:Lovely family hotel, very clean, accross the road from the beach, easy access to train to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino or even Genova. Owners and staff were very helpful. Excellent meals and service and not expensive

Review 45:Family run hotel that has been newly renovated. Rooms/bathrooms are very nice and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The train station is a short walk from the hotel and the northern most town of Cinque Terre is just a few stops away. It is recommended to start your hike here from Monterosso and work your way south. Some of the paths were closed during our visit in 5/13 due to weather related damage. Breakfast is a delight and we also ate 2 evening meals at the hotel which were good. You can't go wrong staying at Albergo La Marina!

Review 46:The staff was incredible and helpful throughout our entire stay! Great value for money and so close to the train and super easy to get EVERYWHERE in cinque terra!! Highly recommended.

Review 47:We have passed a great time in this hotel, everyone is so nice there. And we loved the resterant, the tarif is raisonable, foods are great, and the waitress is perfect! The village is calm at night we hear only the vogue of the sea. We've stay 3 nights and they clean the room everyday, it was always very clean. And I loved the good smelt of those towels! It is very easy to visit the 5 terres by train from Deiva Marine, the hotel is very nearly to the train station. The timetable of train offered by hotel helps a lot. Thanks for everything during our stay. We will be back!

Review 48:Nothing

Review 49:It was a very clean, comfortable place, great location. Family-run, mother did the cooking - excellent. Never needed to go to another restaurant, it was soooo good, and reasonable. Breakfast choices very abundant.

Review 50:The most friendly, helpful, kind staff ever. Two of the ladies inparticular were so sweet and ready to answer any need. Food was topnotch! I suggest the spaghetti carbonara. Location is great despite notbeing one of the Cinque Terre because it will be less jam packed (wewent in off season) and prices will be less expensive. Rooms very cleanwith more amenities than most european hotels we have stayed in, and allthe in room amenities we expect as the norm back home in the us. ShouldI go back, I would actively seek a stay here!

Review 51:We really enjoyed the helpful staff, their honesty, sincerity, and care of a family run business. The food was wonderful and the room was what we expected for the price. I will definitely stay with them again when we return to Italy.

Review 52:The standard of the meals from the restaurant was first class. Thestaff, in particular Marko, was extremely helpful. It was a greatlocation for getting the train to Cinque Terre (5 min walk). It was notoverrun by tourists. Overall a fantastic place to stay and highlyrecommended.

Review 53:They do have English spoken staffs but I haven't met them on the nightchecked in. Wifi is not iphone friendly (one device connected, anotherone can no more use internet even the previous disconnected)

Review 54:Walking distance to beach, close train station to nearby CinqueTerre, quite. Close to a small town with various shops. Prviate carpark is available at a small charge. Very friendly ower and hisparters , staffs.

Review 55:We were mostly dissapointed with the Deiva Marina itself, not with the hotel. The beach is busy being converted into a huge parking lot (building) - weird idea. Building process is all over the small seaside and there is no normal walking possibility.

Review 56:We stayed in the appartments. Actually it's just a regular 3-rooms flat in a big multi-flat building. All the required amenities are present (dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, washing mashine etc). TV has only italian channels, a lot of them. The rooms are a bit dark (which could be an advantage in summer) but in general quite comfortable and spacy. Parking is in front of the building but requires a bit of driving skills as it's on a really steep uphill streetside. Breakfast is good, with some choice of sweets, good coffee and fresh breads.

Review 57:The best we have stayed at so far after 2 months traveling. Staff are very helpfully and the breakfast is the best. Recommend fully as a place to use to visit chinqua terre.

Review 58:Great place to stay if visiting Cinque Terre. Rooms were verycomfortable and quiet. Great breakfast. Wifi too was good which is anecessity these days with travel. Everything was great but the best partof my stay was was the friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff, despite not speaking a lot of English. It was a lovely place to stay andI would reccomend to anyone.

Review 59:The staff was very efficient and friendly. The rooms are cozy but comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfasts are very well done and the associated restaurant is delicious and well priced. The view is not that great but it is just a short walk to the beach and the train station where you can reach the towns of Cinque Terre in about 10-15 minutes for 2-3 Euros. All in all, a very good bargain.

Review 60:Lovely staff, quiet location, easy walk to train and access to Cinque Terre

Review 61:Loved the staff. The room was large enough for 4 comfortably the breakfast and meals very good.

Review 62:Small room, very basic

Review 63:Quiet location, great brekfast

Review 64:The staff is fabulous, courteous and very helpful, and the location is edeal for visiting cinque terre

Review 65:Showers were small

Review 66:Location good, as very close to the train station to visit Cinque Terre, friendly staff, very helpful, garage, breakfast very good for Italy

Review 67:The resturant and the breakfest was really nothing special.

Review 68:Really nice family run hotel.
