Reviews for Casa Bellavista B&B
Review 1:As we wound our way through the Tuscan countryside towards the hamlet of Creti, the scenery just kept getting better and better. The venue for our stay truly was ‘a home with a beautiful view’, surrounded by the rolling countryside typical of the region. The welcome that we received from Simonetta was warm and friendly; she is a super host. Her two dogs, Dante and Trilly, made us feel welcome too. We felt immediately (and throughout the rest of our 5 night stay) that this was nothing like any other B&B experience; we felt like part of the family – this was getting a real flavour of Tuscan living. We were shown to the beautiful Pink Bedroom, which as an enormous south facing wrap-around balcony. It was elegantly furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. The en suite bathroom was a good size, with a really nice/effective shower. The views from the balcony across the gardens and the countryside were splendid. On our first evening we had dinner cooked by Simonetta; this was a delight with many of the ingredients from her own garden. The extensive wine list is superb; Simonetta’s recommendations really complemented her wonderful food.Oh my goodness; Simonetta provided a great selection of delicious items for breakfast including home-grown fruits, delicious meats & cheeses and eggs. This was accompanied by home-made bread, preserves and cakes. Of course, the coffee was excellent and we really liked the blood orange fruit juice. This really set us up for our day’s exploring….Of course, Simonetta knows the region very well and was able to provide us documented driving tours to experience the charm of the local villages & towns. We drove 2 of these routes and had a fabulous time meandering through the beautiful countryside. At our request, Simonetta also arranged for a tour, wine tasting and lunch at a local vineyard (Salcheto, near Montepulciano) – we chose this because of their organic & biodynamic production methods.
Review 2:A little too remote - difficult to get to, especially if you are visiting other areas and need to get back in the evening....
Review 3:The views were so very pretty! Meal at night was delicious, where we also had the fortune to observe a great sunset.
Review 4:Fantastic hostess, simonetta! Delicious meals cooked for us. Gorgeous setting.
Review 5:Nothing!
Review 6:We loved everything! The name bellavista is well deserved, the views are amazing in all directions. Great location to explore Tuscany and Umbria. There are bikes for you to use, but a car is necessary to travel around the area. The rooms are well-sized, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The same goes for the entire house, it is really cosy, feels like home. Simonetta and Guido welcome you with true hospitality, make sure you eat the best homemade food you can wish for and pair it with excellent wines. We learnt a lot from them about the Tuscan cuisine, olive oil, and also about art and history. Was a superb vacation, we highly recommend Casa Bellavista to anyone who is into good food, wines and would like to gaze at the Tuscan countryside!
Review 7:The coffee was terrible and watered down. Dinner was overpriced. Room we had was cramped. Breakfast cakes dry

Review 9:I understand that Casa Bellavista is a beautiful villa built ling agohowever, It would have been even better if there were airconditioning. For the most part we were very comfortable but it didget hot at times in June.
Review 10:Great location in the countryside outside of Cortona. Quiet. Nice breakfrom busier town/and tourist attractions. Good location to do daytrips to other Tuscan villages. Simonetta was very helpful in organizingcar rental and providing maps for day trips.
