Review 10：it is a little tired in places but extremely well maintained, and of course to achieve such a great view over the bay you are situated on a hill which if you are walking may not be suitable for everyone. good exercise for others. We were with teenage girls whose life depends on Wi-Fi, it was excellent in lobby area and restaurant, but is temperamental on the 2nd floor bedrooms where we were but everyone tried their best to help, the girls managed to still communicate with the rest of the world 24/7.

Review 11：The Hotel is small and inviting, hotel staff are helpful and friendly, pool was clean and had a fantastic view of the sea. Hotel provides an ample continental breakfast which always was well stocked and staff could not do enough to meet your needs. Restaurant was good and very well priced with the same good service throughout the hotel. Would love to go back again, no problem and would compliment them on their service. :)

Review 13：I was really happy to see how well placed the hotel is, the view was just amazing, the breakfast was nice if you come early and our room was nice and clean, every day clean towels and fresh bed linens. The pool was quite big and with a nice overview of the city.

Review 32：Very well located, close to the sea at a very nice place called Acitrezza. Very good breakfast, spacious room with comfortable beds, a small fridge and wide balcony. Overall a nice hotel with all basic amenities and free parking. It is within walking distance from the seaside restaurants and a few km outside of Catania although we would not recommend visiting Catania as we're attacked around lunchtime while we were in our car not far from the center when a motorbike with 2 thieves blocked our way on purpose and one of them first tried to open our doors which were locked and then put his arm into the car from the partially open window trying to lift the security of the door so as to steal my handbag which was on the floor of the car. We managed to get away by hitting his arm and drive away but it was very scary indeed. We heard that many other tourists were robbed in a similar way in Catania.

Review 34：The staff were amazing people who could not do enough for us. The rooms were immaculately clean and the food was 1st class and great value at €13 per head. The price of a bottle of Italian beer was €2.50 which in a hotel is very reasonable. The air con in the room was the best we have ever experienced as was the bed.

We spent a week here and every body was so friendly and helpful. The inclusive breakfast is excellent and the evening four course meal for £10 must be the best value I have experienced for a long time. If you are considering where of the many places in Sicily to stay, look no further The Lachea has everything and more.

Review 60：Location of Aci Trezza is very good if you have planned the holiday on the eastern side of Sicilia. There is close enough Taormina, Catania and beautiful villeges of Savoca and Forza d'Agro (where Godfather movies are filmed). I got the room with very nice view to the sea and Cyclop islands. Parking is free and safe (you better have a own car in Sicilia, you get so much more!) The pool is clean and big enough for swimming. There is nice port with good restaurants very near (200-500 metres only). Much more better and cheaper choice than living in the big city of Syracusa (what mistake I did).

Review 61：Hotel is really close to road SS, so if you want to take a rest near to swimming pool is impossible. Cars are driving and beeping all the time. Too much noise ...

The rooms were very clean and towels changed every day, the location was perfect or us as we had family around Catania. Review 68：My sister and I recently stayed at the Hotel Lachae. After the initial difficulty of locating the place as it is in Aci Trezza and not Aci Castello as advertised, we had a lovely relaxing time. The staff were outstandingly helpful, the dining room was good and the rooms were clean and spacious. We had a lovely view of the sea harbour from our balcony so I would advise guests requesting a room with a balcony.

Review 87：In the hotel we had a triple room with a sea view. The rooms are clean, beautiful, large, with a fridge, a large balcony and stunning views over the islands of the Cyclops. The hotel has free parking and a lovely pool. Good location for sightseeing in the western part Sicilje. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great (at least 4 *). We strongly recommend this hotel.

Review 88：We got a double room with see view. It was amazing, every time we wokeup we had the see view from bed. The stuff were really helpful, thehelped us to get an adaptor. And breakfast was simple but enough withItalian coffee.

Review 97：Traffic noise early in the morning. Because the hotel is about 50/60 meters above the SS114 you hear the early morning traffic. However, a small price to pay for the view.

Review 98：The staff were wonderful, always, always very, very helpful. My laptop stopped working and so I used the PC in the lobby to check my emails and the staff allowed me to use the reception desk PC to print messages. Another example: my wife and I wanted a drink in our room before dinner and I asked for some nibbles - I was given crisps, nuts, olives and lite bites all for 50 cents extra!!! The food: one of only two places that we stayed in Sicily where the breakfast selection was both good and plentiful. The hotel's dinners were without question the best value for money that we experienced during our 14 day stay in Sicily. The four course dinner consisted of: antipasta, first and second courses and desert. Fresh fish was always on the menu and was excellent. The meat was excellent too. All this for Euro13 - less than half what one would pay in a restaurant - and the quality of the food was top class also. Dinner was always well attended by the guests although there were a number of good looking restaurants within walking distance. Also, the hotel was well patronised by several single men who seemed to be commercial travellers. They ate in every night even though presumably they would have been on expenses and could have eaten anywhere. The location: Aci Trezza is a quiet village just off the main coast road, SS114, north of Catania and is convenient for Catania, Siracusa, Mount Etna and Taormina. The upper floors have a good view of the Cyclops Rocks in the bay. The hotel well signposted just off the main road, very easy to find and has plenty of parking spaces. The Lachea was the best by far of the five places we stayed in Sicily and was the least expensive of all five. Outstanding value. The acid test of would we stay there again - certainly.

Review 101：It is the very friendly hotel. The staff is very helpful. I booked adouble room but have had a triple one. The room was equipped excelent.There were a fridge, tv, table, lamp on the table, armchair and no key-controll power on system, when you leave a room the power is off andyour devises dont charge. The breakfast was a standart, the same everyday, but it was ok. A view on the sea from a large balkony was fine. Thelocation is 25 minutes from the airport by car. I found the hotel when Ihave seen a big sign.You have to have a car for getting any sights!

Review 106：We stayed there only because it was relatively close to Catania Airport. There is not much to see or do there except going by boat to a small reef island for a nice swim. But it's an OK hotel if you want/need to spend a night in the area.

We didn't have the problem with parking the car during our stay in Acitrezza.

Review 118：acitrezza is a very simple village that takes you back a few years. The hotel is located at a reasonable difference from the small village centre and the prices were extremely reasonable. The staff were cordial. A requiirement to visit this area is a car.

Location of the hotelwas very convenient for getting to Acireale, Catania and Taormina. Wealso found it easy to visit Siracusa and Noto from there.
