Reviews for Villaggio Est

Review 1:Water temperature fluctuations in the shower, but it's a trifle :)

Review 2:A wonderful place, the staff (communicated well in Russian), beautiful apartments! Thanks Stefano for a surprise for the apartments - you really managed to surprise us! Near many beautiful beaches in Sardinia.

Review 3:The place where rubbish bins are located is a bit too far from the houses. A service collecting the containers in front of units would be a great idea.

Review 4:One of the most beautiful panoramas of Sardinia, The archipelago of Tavolara right in front of you! The village, whose villas, built with the same rock of the coast, are well camouflaged and almost invisible from the sea, lies about 100 meters high, in front of the tip of "Cape Coda Cavallo".(Horse Tail Cape), granting a wonderful view at any moment of the day and night. More than 30 among the most beautiful white beaches of the famous Northestern Sardinian Coast, lapped by transparent light blue or emerald waters, are within 30 minutes from the Village. Very friendly and helpful staff, also gives aid in carrying luggage from the car home and vice versa.

Review 5:Our apartment was just ok. A bit outdated. The mattresses were ok, the pillows were horrible. The view was the best thing about it. There were mice droppings on our back porch one morning.

Review 6:The view is beautiful and surroundings very peaceful and quiet. The staff was nice when they were around. They even upgraded us to a two bedroom apartment upon arrival! The restaurants served good food.

Review 7:I didn't like having to pay extra for towels, bed linen ect... the wfi only worked at the restaurant. The apartment was not very modern needed updating, horrible orange interior!.. The kitchen had no tea towel or washing up liquid or decent tin opener, bathroom no loo roll, the bedroom was small and the bed was very old and squeaky also had horrible old pillows. The attention to detail was not there. But when booking this apartment the most important factors was the location and the sea view and they certainly made up for these bad points.

Review 8:The view from our balcony and the restaurant was spectacular! So many beaches to choose from in walking distance or short drive away.Breakfast was very reasonably priced. Coffee only 1€ (I'm used to costa prices!) The complex was very quiet and relaxing a great base for exploring this part of the island and only 30min drive to olbia airport.

Review 9:At arrival they charged me 55 eu extracleaningfee, and insisted i had to pay that. They said it was not included in the payment, so i did. Also there was no warm water , toiletpaper. and also for most of the time nobody at the reception, so i couldnt ask anything.

Review 10:Low season, so very quite, nobody at the pool :D

Review 11:Considering the location (uphill) of the only place where to take the rubbish, a service of collection at the units would be more than appropriate and appreciated, especially on the day of departure. The Wi-Fi is a bit too weak.

Review 12:Amazing view and location! No doubt! See by yourself ;-) Kind and efficient staff. Very convenient short distance (30 minutes by car) from Olbia's airport or port. In the middle of some (35!) of the most beautiful famous beaches (natural swimming pools!) and smooth rocky coast, all reachable in less than 30 minutes. Don't miss the boat tour to Molara and Tavolara, where you'll meet a "royal family" (title conferred more than 180 years ago by the then King of Italy) which is the owner of this latter island.

Review 13:* the Villagio was built in the mid eighties and little if anything has been done to the apartment since. As a consequence everything from bathrooms to kitchen looks dated and in urgent need to refurbishment * decoration is very spartan with old and basic furniture and furnishings * water pressure is atrocious so although we had two bathrooms it was impossible to use them at the same time. Water would literally drip from the shower and one could not not open up any faucet around the apartment at the same time or it would dry up altogether * the boiler was a museum piece and would struggle to warm up the water enough for a lukewarm shower * halfway through our stay we started experiencing serious problems with drainage. At first water would just collect in the bathtub and sink draining very slowly. Then water would run from the bottom / side to the toilette when flushing (disgusting). Finally, after a couple of days, it was impossible to flush the toilette without flooding the bathrooms. Management identified the problem after a couple of days --- a pierced sewage pipe outside the apartment causing sewage to run down the stairs outside apartment. They managed to unblock things, however the whole process left a horrific smell of sewage in the apartment, which would not go away no matter what we did, The smell was so nauseating I felt like vomiting every time I walked into the apartment. We had to seal the bathroom door with towels and open up the bathroom window to be able to sleep in the adjacent bedroom.

Review 14:* location is very convenient being close to Olbia airport and some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia * views from the Villagio as well as from the apartment/veranda are pretty spectacular * the apartment is quite spacious even if the rooms at the back of the property were pretty dark and poorly lit

Review 15:No fan or air conditioner with 32 degrees Anything in the appartment for the cleaning (cleaning of the kitchen not even included in the cleaning if the apartment) Noisy area closed from the parking Noisy

Review 16:Excellent location . Fantastic view on the island of Tavolara

Review 17:We could have done with air conditioning - it was very hot!

Review 18:The views from the property, pool and the restaurant are fantastic. The restaurant was good although a bit of a wasp problem. The pool was good.

Review 19:Lack of AC.

Review 20:Property - well equipped self catering apartment, nice location - less than 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach, fantastic view from the property to the sea and the bunch of islands and many nice boats drifting close to them.

Review 21:Minor point, wifi intermittent,

Review 22:Views from the apartment were epic, Staff helpful, plenty of beaches and Restaurants within 30 minutes. Quiet location. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Would be a great place to take young children as the sea is calm and beaches are sheltered.

Review 23:The only down side was that at the time we visited there seemed to be an heightened activity of wasps and mosquitos, which made dinning out difficult and it would have been nice to have some counter measurments in place. Remember to pack toilet roll as very little is provided.

Review 24:Three bedroom villa. The views are fabulous. 180 degree view. Sunrise on the terrace. Comfortable. Kitchen functional and full of utensils. Plenty of room for a toddler to run around in. Beach is about a 10 to 15 minutes walk. Water crystal clear and calm but with pebbles. Shallow great for children.

Review 25:The location and view is stunning. Short walk to the beach and a great bar/restaurant area. There are a number of amazing beaches within a very short drive. Pool area is great too, kids loved it. We will be returning.

Review 26:Given the price paid for the apartment we thought it was a bit much to charge extra for bed linen. The kitchen could have been a little better equipped (e.g. Didn't have a bread board; would have been good if dish washing liquid and cloth were provided). It was not 100% clean - e.g. floors were dusty.

Review 27:The location was fantastic. The guy we dealt with in the GeoInvest office was excellent and management was very accommodating when we changed our booking at very late notice.

Review 28:A ramp leading from the parking lot to somewhere close to the center would be a plus - the stairs are a challenge when carrying heavy bags. Some effort at mosquito control would also be a plus.

Review 29:The location was stunning, the stone faced buildings were sympathetic to the surroundings and the staff were very welcoming.

Review 30:all ok

Review 31:wonderful location & views

Review 32:I would prefer better mattress.

Review 33:Nice people, great position with a beatiful view, I like this place! Grazie.

Review 34:no air conditioning, it was hot!

Review 35:Location! Great view, good beaches close two bathrooms, washing machine in the apartment

Review 36:WiFi was weak in some areas.

Review 37:The location was great and the staff very helpful.

Review 38:The staff were so welcoming and helpful, particularly Stefano who made our holiday feel extra special. The views from our apartment were breathtaking. The surrounding area and beaches, were superb. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this resort, wether you are a couple or a family seeking something special.

Review 39:There are problems with cleanness. The apartments need hard cleaning andnew furniture, in the kitchen was plastic table and very old chairs, sofa was old and dirty. Bad smell in bathroom and toilet – this smellwas terrible and we could not wind it during 2 days. Please take intoaccount that about such problem complaints was from 2-3 guests (a littlebefore our departure to the holidays, I red comments of other guests inthe booking.com website, and many comments was very bad – terrible smellin bathroom, old furniture etc., we would like to cancel our reservation….but did not do it). After our staying we have all the same complaintsas other guest – room is not clean, shower is old with very dirtycurtain, terrible smell is bathroom and in the sink in kitchen. In onemorning in our apartment was no any water – no water in kitchen, nowater in toilet and and shower…. The problem was solved during 2-3hours……so we could not have breakfast, no cafe …. in the comments ofother guests was description of similar problem so I consider thatproblem with water in apartments is regular problem. Price was high forso bad service. Wi fi was only at reception and restaurant, in theapartments towels and bed linen are for additional cost, the is notoilette paper in toilette, no shampoo or soap so all such necessarythings you should bring with you. Not suitable for travels with littlechild or old people – there is no lift, there is no first floor, way toour apartment was at first upstairs and then downstairs.

Review 40:Only palce - nice view of the sea form village.

Review 41:The need for transport to reach beaches

Review 42:This is the most beautiful & scenic location. It is remote which is ideal for a relaxing break. We stayed at end if season so it was very quite which suited us. The many beaches in the area are all beautiful but you do need a car to reach most of these.

Review 43:A little bit far from civilization, but if you have car, it's not a problem.

Review 44:The view from the room is gorgeous, big terrace, nice appartment with insuite kitchette. But if you don't have time to cook there are 2 caffes and 1 restaurant in the villagio than can cater breakfast, lunch or dinner for you.

Review 45:What did I like... everything. A stunningly beautiful setting, excellent accomodation, great restaurants we used every day (thanks Caffe Delle Rosa and Blue Bar), the island, the sun! Superb hosts Elena and Stefano. Yes, we loved Capo Coda Cavallo and we loved Sardinia. Had a hire car for the week but did not use it every day as we had sun, beach and blue waters just down the pathway from the villas. The views are unbeatable. If you visit, try to hire a boat to tour the islands and nearby coves, very worthwhile.

Review 46:All the apartments are from a differant owner. That means that there is a differance in conditions from the rooms. First we got a room that was old and ready for redeccoration.

Review 47:Our room (A5) had a number of issues including a bad smell from the drains in one of the bathrooms that made it unusable (we had another bathroom so we used that instead). the fridge was not working properly, and the fuse would constantly trip when the dishwasher and washing machine were on at the same time. only an issue the first time it happened, but as we were out all day the fridge was off and some food spoiled.

Review 48:Stefano, Elena and all the staff are amazing, and cater to your every need. They made our stay very enjoyable. We would definitely return, but would stay in a different apartment, as A5 was very poor.

Review 49:We stayed in 11b, the owners should understand the necessity ofrenovation, the fantastic view is not everything that makes a goodholiday!!! The bed was extremely uncomfortable, old and bumpy. Thebathroom equipment is out-of-date. It would be nice if you would provideyour guests with some essentials such as dishwashing detergent, aduster, a sponge, we had to buy it all and some other things. All thisand also extra pay 15 euros per person for bed linen and towels increasethe price of your staying, don't forget that nobody cleans yourplace and you have to throw away rubbish yourself. It wasn't ourfirst experience of staying in an apartment, and we aren't fussy atall, but we couldn't get rid of a feeling that the place isoverpriced.

Review 50:The view is fantastic, the nature and the territory are very beautiful. It's close to a lot of wonderful beaches, there are plenty of thingsto do and to explore, but a car is a must The staff is very helpful andapproachable. A big thank you to Helen and Stefano There are cafes andrestaurants on the territory which is very convenient, if you are not inthe mood to eat out somewhere else. The kitchen is equipped but not tothe full, there's no dishwasher which kills the whole idea ofstaying in an apartment, if only slaving in the kitchen is not your ideaof happiness It's the 21st century, guys! A wonderful terrace whereyou can enjoy the fabulous view

Review 51:We have stayed there from June 20 to July 4. It was a great vacation! There are wonderful view from the terrace, clean large apartments with high ceilings. And there are all necessary things. We were feeling ourselves like at the home, but the sea was swashing outside and we were watching the beautiful landscape. You don't want to hurry anywhere while staying there. The beach is clean with clear water. Going back from the beach is is necessary to climb the hill, but I think it's an advantage, because you are walking in the shade of the trees. We were sightseeing and shopping, driving a rented car. Very comfortable! Many thanks to Stefano and Helen! We arrived late evening. They met us friendly, showed and told us all about the beautiful places. During our stay they quickly solved all our problems. Helen is Russian, so who don't speak English or Italian can easily communicate with her! So, it's a beautiful place for relaxing, romantic and family vacation! We'd like to take a rest there again!

Review 52:Prices in resturant was high. The foot road to the beach was not good.

Review 53:The architecture and scenery. The rooms, both interior and view from terrace. The food. The beach.

Review 54:First we were offered a very badly smelling, old, dark and not well taken care of room. But the lady in the reception was understanding and offered us another room which was in much better condition. But still important to remember: the numerous condominiums are 40 years old and obviously differently furnished and kept. The prices in the cafeteria are pretty high.

Review 55:The location is marvellous as well as the view on the sea. It's at the end of the Capo Cavallo, quiet (in May) and beautifully natured. The condo had a nice terrace with a great view. Luckily the staff was cooperative when we were complaining. Bed linen and towels can be rent for little money.

Review 56:We were very disappointed by the apartment itself. It did not correspondto what was announced on the web site. Very old furnitures, kitchen notequiped properly, very humide and dusty, no hot shower the 1st nightbecause the man forgot to switch on the boiler. The agency is takingcare of various apartments belonging to different people. We visitedother apartments which were really great. You must avoid d33 villagioest apartment !

Review 57:The view is fantastic. The area is beautifull, very quite.

Review 58:The absolutely gorgeous view. Big rooms, proximity to some of the best beaches from the island. Two great restaurants on site, where you are eating on a cliff overlooking the bay. Stefano was great help and very accommodating.

Review 59:if you don't like too quiet place, you'd better go there in summer and autumn.

Review 60:it was a wonderful holiday. the room was bigger and better than expected, directly before the big balcony is the amazing seaview. the manager Stefano is so warm-hearted and he knows and interested in almost everything.

Review 61:Amazing views, great pool. Wonderful place.

The Fine Print
