Located at the entrance of Youghal Harbour, Avonmore House B&B is set in a Georgian house, on the grounds of a former Franciscan Abbey. It is just off a 5 miles sandy beach and less than 3 minutes’ walk from the city centre.
With free Wi-Fi, the guest rooms come with a TV with satellite channels and tea and coffee making facilities. They also have an en suite bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bathtub or shower.

Review 1：Very clean throughout and Most helpful and welcome hosts...Eileen was forever, smiling and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her and her husband.
Review 2：The bedroom roof window needed black out blinds and the area has suffered from the recession.
Review 3：There was a large light room, good breakfast and good parking.
Review 4：Knob on shower was coming off. Check out time on website says 11am,but book in room says 10.30am. Asked for poached eggs and got fried eggs.

Review 6：We liked to friendliness of the hosts, they made us feel welcome and they were very accommodating, offering us a late breakfast when we slept in. The breakfast was good quality fresh food , well cooked by the host jack. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.The hosts are a font of local knowledge and will help in anyway they can. Their knowledge about local transport and taxi's was very welcome. We enjoyed our planned stay so much we stayed an extra night. We will recommend the Avonmore and will be staying again.

Review 9：The hospitality shown by Eileen and Jack,the comfortable clean room,the peace and quiet in the evenings/first thing in the mornings,no doors banging no children running through the house (excellent for quiet/good nights sleep),last but not least breakfast.
Review 10：Very nice family run hotel. The room was clean and cosy, breakfast was good, the staff was helpful and friendly. It's 5 minutes walk from the city center and from the beach.
Review 11：Staff had a sarcastic attitude I asked for late checkout and told me how much they made after booking took money off them, I was told bout this 2ce and asked to be "out early In the morning" on the phone. Upon arrival staff were unfriendly they asked how much out stay was I said what I thought and again I was met with sarcasm "hardly" I said u did ask just saying what I thought. I was then shown how much they made after booking took their cut! All I did was tick the box of requests one of which was late checkout. I was made feel bad and my boyfriend was treating me, it took from it. I was accused in the morning of having a fight with my boyfriend that nite which never happened residents complained. I came down for breakfast and was told she was told I wouldn't be down! By who ... God knows!! I was also spoken down to that morning by said example. Won't be back Dear for basic accommodation

Review 13：Jack and his wife were very nice and helpful. We had a problem with our rental car(it stalled on the main street in town) and Jack not only came to our rescue but offer to take us to our meetting with friends. But he was able to start the car for us.
Review 14：Had a lovely one night stay here on a recent trip to Youghal. Deluxe double room was very spacious and nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and sizeable bath. Well located between beach and main part of town. Breakfast was superb.
Review 15：The only thing that put a dampner on our stay was comments made my the male owner on our check out. It was my husbands birthday and when i was waiting to pay my husband appeared with the bags the owner firstly commented "god he's a fine big birthday boy isn't he " I ignored this as I knew it was an attempt at a joke although not to my personal taste then for a second time he commented "id say he'd eat a fair bit of birthday cake would he " my husband walked out to the car at this stage mortified I was also flabbergasted at such personal unpleasant remarks to people he had just met & also paying customers I'm quite sure it was an attempt at humour but to be honest it was in extremely poor taste and a personal insult to my husband I work as a manager in customer service myself and this type of comments are totally in professional and unpleasant and not in the slightest bit funny. Might be worth noting this for next time a not so slim guest stays.

Review 17：Great location, the room wa of the highest quality, 4 star hotel standard and the service was fantastic. After a day of hiking in torrential rain, we were soaked to the bone, Eileen the property owner, took all of our gear and had it washed and dried the next day when we were checking out. No extra cost for this and we didn't ask, just out and out friendly service, the kind of touch you don't get in a big hotel. Will return to Youghal as it's a lovely town and will be most definately staying here again!

Review 23：Perfectly located at the edge of Youghal town. Only a few minutes walk to the harbour,beach, restaurants and shops. Lovely big, spacious bedroom. Spotlessly clean. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Free wifi was the icing on the cake. Breakfast was great too. Highly recommend it.
Review 24：I have stayed in five star hotels which were less comfortable. Really lovely decor, excellent facilities, a beautiful old house perfectly located. The breakfast was delicious; Jack and Eileen could not have been better hosts.

The bathroom in the room we were allocated was gorgeous (room2)a whirlpool bath and shower,fully tiled, with a first class finish! Very luxurious! Breakfast was very tasty and good quality food cooked to perfection. Our stay here was worth every penny and more!
