Reviews for Hotel Markushof
Review 1:The hotel was fine. We enjoy eating out but the village doesn't have much in the way of restaurants, so it is unlikely we would go for a longer holiday.
Review 2:We stayed just one night as it was a stop-off for us on a trip between Lake Garda and Austria. Had good sized room and en suite. All very clean. Good quality food both at breakfast and dinner. Staff courteous and helpful.
Review 3:Nothing.
Review 4:Rooms, beds, service were all great. Breakfast was good, varied selection and plenty to eat - and choice of drip coffee or cappuccino etc.
Review 5:These are only small quibbles: no jug in room to make your own hotdrinks - a common trait in Europe apparently. Same with shampoo. Payingby cash seems to be the required norm in quite a few places, this hotelamong them, rather than having credit card facilities.
Review 6:Friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms as well as thecomfort and privacy of the rooms. The balcony was a pleasing touch andthe place was uncrowded at this time of year. The breakfast wassumptuous. Have no difficulty in recommending this hotel. The skivillage itself, even outside of season, has some charm as well and canbe explored in under an hour.
Review 7:Friendly family run hotel. Generous evening meals served in traditional style. Bedrooms also traditional with simple furnishings but clean and well kept. We had an enjoyable stay here thanks to the kindness of the owners.
Review 8:The pillows were the sort that mould to your requirements but I would have liked the option of a softer pillow. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool but couldn't used it because of the cigarette fumes created by our neighbours.
Review 9:The hotel was very easy to find but we were surprised to find that it was also a small campsite. In the event this didn't matter at all. The hotel owner was charming and couldn't have been more helpful. The outdoor pool was a great bonus and the hotel was in the centre of the small town of Ora/Auer and convenient for shops and also near to the Weinstrasse which is wonderful with lots to do whether walking or in a car. People should know that they do not take credit cards but banks are very close by.
Review 10:I was very happy regarding my stay at Markushof. A very helpfull and friendly staff together with very clean and new rooms. Only minor issue can be for people needing internet in the room as this is not available, wifi in the restaurnat works fine. A recommendation for anybody staying in this area!
Review 11:Only issue was having to pay for evening meal separate from room chargeand coudl not use a credit card for teh meal - not a bog deal but oneneeds to be prepared
Review 12:Clean, friendly, economical
Review 13:the reluctance to take credit cards
Review 14:the view, the food, the access to parking
Review 15:Excellent,all aspects !
Review 16:Can be noisy in the summer due to the large tour operators that also usethis hotel
Review 17:Good breakfast
