Review 6：from the minute we went through the doors of the hotel we were greeted with such warmth, every member of staff were so nice! We were treated so kindly by the owner, he was so nice and always smiling always offering assistance even at breakfast time, he even spoke to my daughter when we arrived and wished her the best of luck running the next day. I would like to say that the hotel was so clean we loved the Christmas decorations they were beautiful. If ever travelling to youghal again I will definitely be staying here! All meals we had were divine!

Review 17：We have young kids. They can be quite demanding / particular. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, with one gentleman particularly patient and helpful. Fantastic location, great little town. Would stay again in an instant, and will plan to early next year.

I assume that the breakfast chef´s name was Carlsberg since the breakfasts are probably the best in the world! Well done to all at this privately owned hotel. Review 22：The moment we arrived we met with Ruth at the reception. Other hotels should send their reception staff for a short course to this lovely lady. She made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Very professional and helpful,Thank you Ruth, Otherwise the hotel was just fabulous. Our room had the most amazing view of the Park and bandstand and the small strand. Perfect location between the town centre and the main beach. The food in the bar was just excellent. All of the staff we encountered were just so helpful and professional. We did the historic tour of Youghal, Oliver Cromwell, Sir Walter Raleigh, and the history of Youghal and Ireland. The hotel is perfectly located for this visit. We will return to Youghal and will definitely stay at the Walter Raleigh.

The food was very good and very well presented, even though their was a big wedding on Saturday we were well looked after.

Review 30：Poor breakfast offering for someone who doesn't eat meat. The scrambled eggs were obviously not freshly cooked as they were dried out-a four star hotel should be able to do fresh egg on toast. The room was very warm despite the weather not being so. This made it difficult to sleep as it was still warm with the window open and also noisy as the room overlooked the road. It's a pity air con could not have been installed during the renovations.These two problems are enough to put us off staying at this hotel again.

Review 108：Booked this hoel 2 weeks ago for sun and mon night had to cancel fri before due to husband work commitments got a quote for 90 euro and when sun came we found we were able to go so took a chance and walked in and asked for a room following morning we were charged 100 euro which it very expensive considering there is no curtains on windows in bedrooms lack of TV Chanels and no toiletries we went on to other hotels around the country and the most we paid was 80 for the night so I think this hotel should look into there prices
