Reviews for Agriturismo Podere Alberese

Review 1:No issues.

Review 2:It has been my first option for accommodation in the region in the last four years. Rooms and apartments are excellent as well as the breakfast. Staff and attention to costumer is outstanding.

Review 3:This surely must be Tuscany at its best! Lucia and Antoinita where perfect hosts and their hospitality was amazing...a must if you are in the area. We hope to return!

Review 4:Nothing. Everything was OK.

Review 5:If you like heritage, this is the place to stay. Lovely medival building, perfectly restored by the skilfull architect in the heart of the most beautiful scenery in the world Crete Senesi. We like all the staff, especially mrs. Antoinetta, which advises what to see were very helpfull. She is the real soul of the agriturismo and was our "mama" in our stay. Highly recommended destination for trip or vacations.

Review 6:Because of my advanced age and partial infirmity I had problems claiming stairs to the bedroom , but should have investigated this before booking because ground floor accommodation could have been made available. Mea culpa !

Review 7:The rooms were well and comfortably furnished in classical style. The breakfasts were an abundant feast worthy of a five star hotel with home made and home grown produce. The family's own organically produced wines and Olive Oils were of top quality. The surrounding countryside breathtaking .

Review 8:Could hear every movement of the accommodation backing on to us.( even snoring in the night ). Very sloping ceilings made it difficult for my 6ft 2ins husband to move about in places, particularly in the attic room where the sofa? (more like a day bed) was housed.

Review 9:The setting was lovely. All the family were very friendly and helpful. Easy access and plenty of space for parking. Pool in very nice surroundings and very clean, although a bit too cold for us to swim in.

Review 10:It's really a very small thing but the swimming pool was too cold at the end of september to get into it....But still it was wonderful to stay by the pool a bit....

Review 11:We loved everything there: the host, so nice and helpful, the beautiful place and location, the smell of the olives....The room was charming and confortable. It's an amazing place to stay !

Review 12:We had a lovely stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful- Antoinette and Lucia were lovely! Tasty homemade breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms, and the location/view was stunning! Sad we booked for only one night!

Review 13:No air conditioning available, wifi signal and cell phone coverage absent in the room.

Review 14:Beautiful countryside, nicely appointed room. Wonderful home cooked breakfast.

Review 15:We were attending a wedding nearby and enjoyed our stay at Podere Alberese very much. The rooms offer everthing you need. The pool has a very nice view and you can by local organic wine from the ownders. The perfect getaway in tuscany

Review 16:Wonderful Weekend in Tuscany. A very helpful host Lucia, who assists you with everything you need. Lovely new renovated rooms and an amazing experience in the countryside! We will definitely be back

Review 17:Could use some air conditioning

Review 18:Feels like the real thing:) Great food and own organic olive oil and wine (very good Chianti Superiore) Swimming pool Very friendly hosts but not overwhelmingly

Review 19:The friendliness of Antoinetta and Lucia, the delicious, freshly-prepared food, especially Antoinettas cakes!!

Review 20:We could not stay longer

Review 21:The atmosphere created by Antonietta and Her Family (mainly Lucia :-) is unique. The place is beautifully situated, style design. Wonderful views, excellent olive oil, all discreetly with passion managed Place...

Review 22:nothing - we did not want to leave.

Review 23:everything. place is great - quite, in the middle of nature, heated pool. people - just amazing - you feel like family. rooms - cozy, clean, big enough. food - expect the best quality, as you are in Tuscany. this was spotless stay for us.

Review 24:Great location for seeing Tuscany. This hardworking family welcomed us and helped us with our every need, even going far beyond hospitality to help us with a traffic ticket. Everyone made sure we could find every location we wanted to visit and advised us on other great sites. The location is so beautiful, I call it Paradise. We can't eat salt and sugar, and they made sure we had special foods for the breakfast. Everyone speaks excellent English and made sure we were comfortable. The wine and olive oil they produce is excellent. Wi-Fi with no password. Free safe in room. Chairs and table for private outside relaxation.

Review 25:No interent connection in the room. Bed was uncomfortable.

Review 26:The owners are great, Antonietta mades us feel almost like at home. She was also very helpfull when it came to travel advice with some additional secrets :) Breakfasts were the best during our Tuscany travel! Swimming pool was amazing, very clean with warm water. Podere Albere definately is worth to stay, its a place where its easly noticable that the owners put there a lot of love.

Review 27:Sign was hard to find - there is a barrel which says Wine Tasting, but not the hotel name. We had trouble arriving in the dark.

Review 28:Incredibly generous people - home-made breakfasts, beautiful grounds, nice bathroom, super soft sheets, gorgeous views, generous traveling advice from proprietors, family pride in a well-run, beautiful spot.

Review 29:You need to carefully plan your itinerary since the hotel is not on a main road which tourists usually use.

Review 30:It was a very nice experience for us to stay at this hotel at a secluded location in Tuscany. Wonderful staff, nicely decorated rooms and tasteful wines in the middle of olive trees. The owners treat all of the guests as their family members. Home made focaccia and fig jam served at the breakfast were delicious.

Review 31:Nothing I thought it was all excellent

Review 32:Lovely people run it and are so accommodating .Fresh cake every morning was different healthy and delicious .I loved everything about this place

Review 33:Great owners - we got lost and they picked us up from Asciano at 11 pm and arranged for a nearby restaurant to wait for us so that we could still have dinner. (the restaurant itself was amazing!!). We were welcomed with a lot of genuine hospitality but the owners are also very discreet and full of empathy, so if you need peace and quiet they will not impose. Lovely breakfast (very rare in Italy!) with local products - cheese and charcuterie and home cakes. The place itself is great - calm and quiet, with breathtaking views, arranged with a lot of taste. They produce their own wine and olive oil in Podere Alberese and you can have oil and wine tasting. The owners recommended us loads of interesting places to see around. We will definitely come back there!!

Review 34:The pillows.

Review 35:This bed and breakfast is a charming old farm which has been nicely renovated and has great views of the surrounding countryside. The family was very welcoming and helpful on tourist sites to see in the region. Breakfast was good.

Review 36:Our stay there far exceeded our expectations. The setting is just superb. The accommodation was great. The personal touch was very apparent and greatly appreciated. Antonietta, Sara and Lucia were very kind and caring. They provided home made breakfasts, recommended places to visit, helped us resolve an issue we had regarding a family celebration being held locally. It was a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to reccommend to others. Many thanks, Frank and Isabel Coscarella Toronto, Canada

Review 37:We had unseasonably hot weather, and it would have been nice to have a fan in the room.

Review 38:Fantastic place! Lucia and her mom are so friendly and helpful. We had gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside. They also make some very nice wine and olive oil. Highly recommended!!

Review 39:Had to pay for breakfast, if you wanted breakfast you had to let them know the day before (no one told us this), very slow internet connection, was not shown around the room - we were just told where to go and then the man said 'bye bye' without any information!, wine and water in the fridge but if you used it you had to pay for it, water in shower only stayed warm for about 15 minutes then went very cold, beds very uncomfortable.

Review 40:Scenic views, resident animals

Review 41:Wifi was only available in the breakfast area.

Review 42:The hospitality of Antonetta and her daughter Lucia was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, where each morning there were freshly made cakes, breads, and focaccia, and they offered to make fresh eggs or omelettes. The views of the countryside around the b&b are really beautiful, and the location makes for a great base for exploring nearby towns like Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, etc.

Review 43:There is no restaurant in the hotel, but it was not a problem becausethe hotel staff suggested us great places in the region - it was not aninconvenient for us because we could taste different things every day.

Review 44:I went for a journey in the Tuscan cities with my father and we used thehotel as a base. The team at the hotel is wonderfull and they wereextremely helpfull helping us with our plans around in the region. Thebreakfast was always great and the familiar atmosphere enchanting. Theapartments were comfortable. We had a great time and we will be back.

Review 45:We did have an issue with hot water. Each unit has its own boiler whichsupposedly is enough to heat showers for two people or more. We wereunable to make it through one. Also, (this is more of an fyi and less ofa negative)- we brought our own food to cook in the apartment, butneglected to bring things like salt and pepper and olive oil, because weassumed they would be supplied. They weren'T.

Review 46:The staff was extremely kind and helpful. After getting very lost, thedrove out to meet us the night we checked in- several miles awar fromthe property. They made several great recommendations for food andactivities, and were overall very accommodating. Can't say enoughabout their service and kindness. The location was also picturesque andan easy driving distance to several nearby towns.

Review 47:Lucia was the best host. A Dream Location in Tuscany to relax

Review 48:Ospitalità, accoglienza

Review 49:Friendly staff, great views
